Not saying there aren't other great announcers out there because there are some great ones. Paul and Dan are my favorite duo for sure, IRI wouldn't be the same without them.

I can't remember if Jeff was there during 2003, that's when 234 was in Richmond. I just remember that regional being decent all around.

That was Dave Lavery that year, Jeff lost his voice.

If I recall, 2003 was the year Dave Lavery ended up MCing Richmond because Jeff had the plague of some sort and we had to keep sending him back to his hotel to get some rest. But I'm sure Jeff did at least a few matches, I remember it taking alot to keep him from doing stuff even though he was sick.

PS I amend my previous vote to include Ron Patridge as well, as he is an awesome game announcer and a fantastic guy (lunch conversations in the volunteer room with him at Philly this past year were just fabulous).

Jeff is the man! I'll never forget when he announced our rookie all-star award, which is a good thing, because I'm one of only three team-members who heard it, the rest had gone home early!

This year everyone stayed, and we came up empty (well, awards-wise).

Next year, I think we'll leave. ;)

I'll join Jeff's fan club. He did a great job at Chesapeake. And he agreed to MC The Capital Clash about 2 minutes after we asked him, well maybe it was 2 days.
We've decided to have rotating announcers at The Clash.
I love Ron because he makes me homesick. I'm from Massachusetts.

Count all of 2TrainRobotics in for the Jeff Seaton Fan Club. Not only is he an amazing MC. But he takes the time to personally meet the teams and know something about them. Jeff checks in with us once in a while, follows our progress, and wishes us good luck before the competition.

Jeff's the man!

Here we go again!
Jeff will be back in action at the Chesapeake Regional.
And we have some unknown named Greg Needel as announcer ;) Gives him an excuse to come home.
(Greg passed the audition after 5 minutes at the mike at the Capital Clash.)

As I hear, Blair will be in Indiana this weekend, MCing the Boilermaker Regional. But, thats just the word on the street.;)

Jeff is a class act. He kept everyone well informed about the rules at the VCU Regional 10 days ago. He repeated the different ways to score and basic things about the game, especially on Saturday when a lot of 1st timers were there.

When he is announcing the award winning teams his voice is extremely clear and precise. If he calls your team's number it is even sweeter!

Count me in on the Jeff fan club! he for me is a fixture of the VCU regional as is Dave Lavery and like others have said he repeats the rules and explains the penalties in a very clear voice, and will wave your flag if you give it to him before the match!
