Thanks for pointing this out. I followed them closely through their website when they were traveling across the US, but once they had completed their journey I stopped checking on them.

Re: 10mph Trailer

so I think we have our guest speakers for next year's championship. Someone should make a short film on greatest accidents on a segway.
Questions to ponder:
-What did they do about batteries?
-How Far did they go?
-Most the Segway's I saw in the video were that of the i180 line, which does 12.5 mph, although the original p133 does do 10 mph.

1.) they also brought a trailer with a car pulling it, and they bummed outlets from people's houses and hotels for recharging.

2.) Coast to coast, no idea on complete lenth.

3.) They say 10mph because it sounds better than 12.5mph :)

That was really good, thanks for sharing. They were shown riding through a rain storm with quite a bit more water than I would want to take my own personal "Slate" and trudge through. Anyone know when this will finally be in our local theaters?

Probably never, unless it's a smash hit like Blair Witch or March of the Penguins. It'll probably be at film festivals and on DVD though!

I like how one of them crashes in the rain right before a guy says their are no accidents (yeah i know thats not what he meant!). I'm confused was the guy in the beginning a police officer and if so why was he talking to a guy in a car? It seems like he would be talking to the guy on the Segway!

My favorite part of the trailer was when he passed the cows and they all turned and looked at him going by!

For being of one the few people who have seen the whole thing (they had a private showing at SegwayFest NH) I would have to say that this film is great. Josh and Hunter flew out from Colorado for the private showing and also hung around for the weekend to talk about the film with everyone. They had 6 sets of batteries and their total mileage was somewhere around 4000 miles.
The film itself is much more than a story about just riding a segway across country. After meeting them you could see that these were just 2 average guys with a dream and the determination to achieve it. That is all I will say about the movie, but wish them luck at the film festivals they have submitted to and hope that their movie makes it to public distribution.

I really hope I can get the chance to see the whole documentary, I've watched the trailer about 5 million times and it looks GREAT.

I really want to see that now, I love seeing movies like that its a nice break from the main streem movies that are nothing but ways for actors to make more money.
