I RODE IT!
 

I finally rode the Segway at the Nats! It was incredible fun. My friends gave it a whirl and one of them got kicked off for going to fast!

How did you get a ride? And where?

Since my dad is a VIP, they had a Segway demonstration up and running. I got to do it twice. Very cool, pics soon (RFCLEM, ggoldman, and me got to ride it)

I got to ride Segway along wiht two of my teammates! Yay being in the right place at the right time! Walking back to competition after running to the Electric Umbrella for lunch we began talking to the finacial director for Segway and walked him back to competition because he wasn't sure how to get back, in return he got us some rides, we rode the demo ones then his personal one which had a red key!!!

What's his name? Was it Mike? He was the guy when I did it the second time. He was nice and answered all my questions and listened to my suggestions ("My friends don't know what the fuss is all about, they need to try it, why don't you go to malls and let them ride it?")

It was the coolest thing ever. I did stick my foot totally in my mouth when I told the lady it was the ultimate toy, she sayed I said the bad word. Hmmmm I think a ferrari would be a cool toy also even though its a serious machine.

It seems that she was at the right place at the right time too.

At the end of the party a guy was riding a segway and I asked him to try it. I knew he wouldn't let me, but I didn't want to live with the maybe-I-could-have-ridden-a-segway-that-day-if-I-had-asked feeling. ;)

I ain't no VIP, but I rode it, too!
 

One of the Ford VIPs, Mark Ziewacz, took me in so I could ride. It was a blast, and I have photos and video.
