I wanna see what happens when the escalator eats the slinky.

Have a friend bring a camcorder with a 4 hour tape. That should be enough for the experiment, your arrest, and your trial :^)

Sadly, I won't be going to Atlanta this year. But, if I remember correctly, there is a long, very narrow escalator in the pit building. (I remember it because we carried tools down it... not fun)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this wont work. The reason why a slinky works is because of the momentum and Hookes law, yet when it goes up a escalator this shifts the momentum. Sorry. Doesn't hurt to try..

Why not try to get on Myth-Busters? This sounds a lot like what they would try to do. Plus they have connections.
