FIRSTwiki: An Appeal

Perhaps you've heard of FIRSTwiki? You have? Good! Well then you're probably wondering why I'm posting this...

You know all those questions you always get asked by new members? You know those questions you've answered multiple times on one of the Chief Delphi Technical section? You know all those in jokes about things being "Pimp" or people being "JVN", that confuse people?

Are the answers out there? Yes! Almost all the technical information can be found with persistence by reading the excellent IFI documentation. Does that help you at 2AM the night before ship?

Any time you answer a question, for the first time or the tenth, why not write up your answer succinctly and add it to FIRSTwiki? All future requests can be diverted there, and more importantly, the encyclopedia will become that much more comprehensive! Have you pulled your hair out trying to find a piece of information which, at long last, you find? Why not graciously save others the effort of that ordeal?

FIRSTwiki seeks to make things more efficient for everyone. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this lull in FIRST activity to save themselves and others time in the future by improving and increasing awareness of the FIRST encyclopedia. Find out how to edit pages, and what to contribute.

The more you add, the more useful it will be as a resource, which enriches the community as a whole and spurns further improvement, both of which help you down the line.

You don't even need to register! If you want your contributions to be attributed to you, we recommend it (it's quite easy), but it's by no means required.

Thank you!
