The prices here in Canada are relatively normal too, but I'm a bit annoyed that some gas stations seem to be jumping the gun on raising their prices, profiting from the flood of people who are trying to fill up their cars before Rita makes things worse. For example, a few stations here on the island of Montreal were charging $1.85 CAN /L (which is about $5.95 US /gal) last night as a result, instead of the $1.11 /L ($3.60 /gal) being charged everywhere else.

The price of gas is still stable here but there are long lines at the pump. As soon as Rita hits prices will sky rocket.

Wow, a gas day. That's a first.

Wow... Wish we had them... At these prices, it'd always be a gas day!

He called it an "early snow day"
But the down side to this is that if we have one snow day (we generally have 1 or 2 a year aka cold days), we have to make it up in June.

naah, gas prices won't affect me since I don't drive -- and it's not THAT much here...around $2 CDN [which'll be cheaper in american dollars] -- so yeah...its less compared to some but its practically double what the price use to be

Gas is now steadily at around $2.76-2.81ish a gallon. For now, I'm content, it could be much more.

I got gas on Saturday for $2.67 a gallon. I was happy. I have officially been brainwashed. We used to say, "Oh my gosh, it will never get to $2.00 a gallon!" now I'm excited about $2.67... And people wonder why I haven't driven home since Labor Day...

... and back up they go again! Just a few weeks ago, I managed to get a couple of gallons for $2.37. Now I'm seeing $2.89+ again. Sigh.... :ahh:
