But Im not willing to risk taking a zero because Cincy wants to protect Carson's health for the playoffs, in what's essentially a meaningless game. Even if he starts, he'll probably only get a drive or two. |
Re: 2006 FIRST Fantasy Football
heres a couple tips:
edge isn't playing Alexander will get at least one TD then sit (to break the record...don't want any back stabbing this year haha) Carson will play...maybe a quarter maybe a half and if you talk about my lions again...there will be some problems haha yea they may be bad but thats no way to talk about them hey you never know joey blueskies may bring us a win and screw us in the draft today haha those are my $0.02 Stevie |

He probably wouldn't have done too much, but bonus points from Martin to Holt/Bruce would have been nice. |

Playoffs: Round III Postgame Analysis (Bowl Week)
Filing this under "better late than never".
It's Bowl Week! w00t! Dunedain Bowl Nor Cal Crushers (#1) d. Your Ad Here (#7) 45-34 This game wasn’t as close as the score makes it out to be. Especially since all of YAH’s score was derived from two players: Mewelde Moore with 10 and Randy moss with 17 (yeah, I’m just as shocked about that last one myself). Their defense was literally nonexistent, with a combined 0. Nor Cal really only had to go with the flow to win this one. While similar to YAH in that a lot of their score was derived from two players (Tomlinson’s 10 and Steve Smith’s 12), the Crushers actually had some support on both offense and defense (that defensive 12 helped a lot). Don’t let the scores fool you; the Nor Cal Crushers dominated this week and took a bowl game in the process. Coco Koko Bowl Rhode Island Voltaic (#3) d. Team THRUST (#4) 74-43 It was the most lopsided game in bowl week, and all Team THRUST could do was watch. Ricky Williams pulling 11 in New England was a nice surprise, and even Eli Manning’s and Roy Williams’s pair of 7s helped. But they wouldn’t get any more help from the offense, and the defense only combined for 16. The Voltaic’s Tampa Bay DEF outdid that themselves with 17. Jerome Bettis’s three short touchdowns (plus 40 yards rushing) added 20 points. John Kasay nabbed 14 from the K spot. And Peyton Manning didn’t play. But what’s this? Rhode Island actually benched him for Chris Simms? Madness! Actually, Simms got 10, so all is good in Rhode Island; they win the Coco Koko bowl. Valley Bowl The Tacoites (#5) d. Feisty Klowns (#6) 34-33 On the flip side, this was the closest of the bowl games. And despite it being low scoring, it was actually a pretty good game. These two teams were quite even. The Tacoites got 12 from their K slot, and 10 from Indianapolis for their big scores. The Klowns had 10 from their kicker and 13 from Antonio Bryant. The rest of the game was dead even, and by all rights and means, the Klowns should have won. But they played the Cincinnati DEF on their one terrible day. Net result from that: -2. That was the difference, and it allowed The Tacoites to win third place. Kamen Bowl Championship III FIRSTforce (#2) d. IwillCrushYou (#8) 79-66 Is it really a stretch to say that this was the game of the year? I mean, it’s the championship game, and it was a well fought game on top of that. IWCY brought to the table the same thing they’ve brought the past six weeks. Larry Johnson led their charge with the high score of all teams this week, a 27. Clinton Portis would add his 17, and Larry Fitzgerald tallied another 10. But in a strange twist, IWCY’s game just plain stopped after that. This left the door wide open for FIRSTforce. Their defense was beautiful (a combined 39 from Brooking, Bulluck, and Carolina). Everybody but their QB would add positive points on offense, including DeShaun Foster (‘bout time) with 14 and Vernand Morency (who?) with 12. All of that was good enough to get through the hole IWCY left them. Winner and champion: FIRSTforce. Congrats to FIRSTforce are in order. I'll be back sometime between now and Super Bowl Sunday for the final analysis and the awards ceremony. |
