WEEK 1 SCEDULE
Stevies Scapegoats vs. Koko's X-Cats
The X-Cats feature Fantasy mainstay Marc Bulger who heads the high powered Rams offense and Willis McGahee who is expected to provide a big year for the Buffalo Bills. The X-Cats defense is particularly strong as well featuring defensive mainstays Ed Reed, Darren Sharper and Julius Peppers as well as the aggressive Philadelphia Eagles defense. The Scapegoats are strong at receiver featuring Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Chad Johnson and have an underrated fantasy producer in Jake Delhomme. Lamont Brightful is inactive though thus hurting their defense.

Jc's Evil Empire vs. Nor Cal Crushers
The Evil Empire features the most dominant fantasy performer LaDainian Tomlinson as well as the versatile Brian Westbrook and Terrell Owens but Ben Roethlisberger is a big question mark. While he was very successful in the won/lost column he was not a very strong fantasy performer. The Crushers are very strong at running back with a potential breakout star in Lamont Jordan and the second best fantasy back Shaun Alexander. Jake Plummer is mercurial. One week he can be a hero and the next he can kill you with his turnovers. The Evil Empire's D could be particularly strong featuring the aggressive Bills D though it'll be interesting to see what DeMarcus Ware does against full speed competition.

Tomahawks vs. Cooney Quest
While the Tomahawks feature all-world player Peyton Manning the isn't much else to feel good about this week. Muhsin Muhammad has no one to throw the ball to him. Plaxico Burress is up and down and Eli Manning may or may not play. Tatum Bell and J.J. Arrington are unknowns. Antonio Gates isn't playing this week and the defense is full of guys not playing. The Quest are taking a chance with the so far disappointing Joey Harrington but have enough to get by this week with Ahman Green and Javon Walker plus the Patriots defense will get their shots to make some points against the high risk high reward Raiders attack.

sigmakittens vs.Beckham Pwns All
The Kitties are banking their success heavily on the strong Chiefs offense but who knows if Priest Holmes body will hold if and if it doesn't can Trent Green carry the load. Beckham Pwns All is banking on Domancik Davis, Drew Brees and Tiki Barber. Good fantasy performers who may still have to prove themselves for Beckham Pwns All to be sucessful. The Kitties are stronger on defense because Beckham Pwns All boast and blank spot and an inactive player on their defense.

Cromer Angry Smash! vs. Tolman
Cromer Angry Smash! has Edgerrin James and Curtis Martin who could be a fantasy breakout star now that Lamont Jordan has gone west and won't be stealing his red zone carries anymore. Bret Farve is no where near the player he once was and is just as likely to burn you as he is to save you. Matt Hasselbeck is a much more stable presence for Tolman and both Jamal Lewis and Clinton Portis are looking for bigger years than they had last year but Tolman is hurt on defense with a blank spot and a non starter in Allen Rossum (unless he manages to take one to the house).

Dogs in the Bathtub vs.Pelan's Bobcats
While Micheal Vick is an amazing athlete and perhaps the most exciting player in the NFL he is a crappy fantasy football player. Not good news for Dogs in the Bathtub. What's worse is they are depending on unproven players like Cedric Benson,Kevin Barlow (who is a major disappointment to say the least), Charles Rogers who has yet to play a whole season IN HIS CAREER, Clarence Moore. Their best bet is to outperform Pelan's Bobcats on defense with the awesome Ravens defense but Will Poole is wasting a roster spot.Still it's better than Pelan's Bobcats defense which has non performers up and down and the lesser Seahawks D. Corey Dillon and Rudi Johnson got his back though.

Mechanicatz vs. Fiesty Clowns
Drew Bledsoe vs. Daunte Culpepper is an ugly mismatch for the Mechanicatz. Their best bet is to lean on their strong receiving core Randy Moss, Hines Ward and Torry Holt. Otherwise there isn't much hope as their backs Carnell Williams and DeShaun Foster come up short against Kevin Jones and Chris Brown. At least both D suffer from equal lack of attention so for once that's even. Noting is expected from either of them.

WBI-461 vs. wst Coast Style
Kerry Collins vs. Donovan McNabb usually looks like it's a bad deal for WBI-461 but with Randy Moss in his arsenal scoring and yards won't be Collins problem. While Terrell Owens isn't talking to McNabb he'll still catch his passes so he'll be bigtime. wst Coast Style made a huge mistake going with Jerome Bettis and Duce Staley who are both out and were at a disadvantage already against Deuce McAllister and Steven Jackson.

I didn't say WBI-461 had Randy Moss. I said Kerry Collins will have some success because of Randy Moss.

WEEK 1 SCEDULE
Dunedainvs. Koko's X-Cats
The X-Cats feature a potentially powerful one/two punch of Kerry Collins and Willis McGahee. On defense the Philadelphia Eagles, Julis Peppers and Dwight Freeney are a strong combination. Dunedain has a powerful pair in Tiki Barber and Ahman Green who could do in the X-Cats alone. Drew Brees will be challanged to duplicate last year's sucess and I'm not so sure of the Houton Texans defense as well.

Rhode Island Voltaicvs. Nor Cal Crushers
Peyton Manning is a major league stud for the Voltaic but the Crushers counter with Thomlinson and the versitile Westbrook. The only question for the Crushers is what will Jake Plummer do.

FirstFORCEvs. The Tacoites
Niether Tom Brady or Kevan Barlow are much when it comes to fantasy production (in Barlow's case it also goes for actual produuction as well) which is really bad news for First FORCE which is already weak due to sporting a blankon the D, The Tacoites got Rudi Johnson and Duece McAllister which should prove to be enough to win.

Team THRUSTvs.Stevies Scapegoats
The main event of this matchup is Team THRUST's Marc Bulgervs. Stevie's Scapegoat's Daunte Culpepper . Both teams feature backups though Parker may get more opportunites to make things happen for Team THRUST.

Cooney Quest vs. QC Elite
BOth quarterbacks are high risk/high reward prospects but the Elite's Farve is more likely to be consistent than Quest's Brooks who suffers more brain farts per game than any other player in the NFL. The Elite have the advantage at running back with both Chris Brown and Micheal Bennet over TJ Duckett and that may be where the difference comes from.

I Will Crush You vs.Pelan's Bobcats
Pelan's Bobcats have hamstrung themselves by playing the suspended Antonio Gates and a player who is not on an NFL roster making things easier for I Will Crush You who are formidable enough with Domanick Davis, LArry Johnson and Clinton Portis as well as MAtt HAsselback. Trent Green and Shaun ALexander need to play big to save the Bobcat's bacon.

Your Ad Herevs. hurricnaes
The Canes have explosive possibilities with Donovan McNAbb but no one knows what JJ Arrington will do and their recievers aren't really all that scary. While McNair isn't what he used to be, Julius Jones could be big. Your Ads Here recivers Randy Moss, Hines Ward and Micheal Clayton could be tough to beat.

Coco's Monkeysvs. sigmakittens
The Kitties are going to be tough to beat with Preist Holmes, Curtis Martin and Jake Delhomme. While Corey Dillon is no problem for Coco's Monkeys. Joey HArrington could be.

Akshar Did It vs. Fiesty Clowns
The Fiesty Clowns are gonna be tough with Carson Palmer, Edgerring James and Kevin Jones. It doesn't help that Akshar Did Ithas James backup starting at running back. Unless Indy slaughter the Ravens (not likely) he's probably not going to get alot of touches and Roethlisberger is not the strongest fantasy quarterback.

Jc's Evil Empire vs. wst Coast Style
It's the Evil Empire's slew of running backs Jamal Lewis, Steven Jackson and Ronnie Brown vs. wst Coast Style's stable of recivers Terell Owens, Marvin Harrison and Drew Bennet. What Fred Taylor and Byron Leftwich does will determine how wst Coast Style will do.

Week I Post-Game Analysis

Yay! Week I is here!

Rhode Island Voltaic d. Nor Cal Crushers
60-43
Peyton Manning is a major league stud for the Voltaic...” This will most likely be the case throughout the season, as Manning lead the Voltaic offense with 12 points. The rest came from a defensive effort worth 27. While Nor Cal's defense put up a respectable 23 and their RBs put up 20, that was literally all they'd get. The rest of Rhode Island's offense was able to put up numbers, and therefore, win.

Koko's X-Cats d. Dunedain
70-40
Kerry Collins put up 14 for the X-Cats. The best thing Dunedain had going was a Tiki Barber 12. If that wasn't the only decent scoring Dunedain would get, it wouldn't be so bad. But with an underperforming defense, and an almost non-existant offense, the X-Cats take this one easilly.

FIRSTforce d. The Tacoites
66-59
The Tom Brady owners around the world must have been dancing with joy, what with his 13 points this week. Indianapolis added 17 and Jeff Reed contributed 10 more. So with all that, why didn't the Tacoites win? Steve Smith and Rudi Johnson combined for 25, while the defensive effort totaled 24. The rest of the offense, albeit not scoring much, was able to put a win in FIRSTforce's bag.

Team THRUST d. Stevies Scapegoats
40-33
Daunte Culpepper got intercepted three times, and fumbled twice. That's a -9 in the Scapegoats' QB slot. On the other side of things, Marc Bulger was able to put up a very nice 12. That's a difference of 21 right there. While the Scapegoats attempted to mount a comeback with Atlanta's 11 and Willie Parker's 16, it wasn't enough to offset Culpepper.

Cooney Quest d.. QC Elite
46-34
It's the battle of the QBs who did absolutely nothing! Now to be fair, at least the Elite's Aaron Brooks scored a single positive point. But even with the New York Giants 19, they still lost. Despite Favre's less-than-spectacular -4, Deion Branch's 10 and Buffalo's 18 pumped the Quest up enough to get that win.

IwillCrushYou d. Pelan's Bobcats
43-34
"Pelan's Bobcats have hamstrung themselves by playing the suspended Antonio Gates and a player who is not on an NFL roster making things easier for IWCY...” Yeah, prettymuch. I will give the correct props to Larry Fitzgerald and Larry Johnson though, who combined for 30 for IWCY.

Your Ad Here d. hurricanes
52-51
This was the closest and most exciting game of the week. It started on Thursday, with YAH getting 12 points from Randy Moss. We continue to Sunday, where the major contributers for YAH were Julius Jones and Shayne Graham with dual 10s. The Hurricanes had Rian Lindell's 16 from the K position and Pittsburgh's 14. They were down by one going into Monday Night Football, where their star Donovan McNabb would take them to victory... one would imagine. Unfortunately, McNabb put up a rather large goosegg, allowing YAH to barely escape with a victory.

Coco's Monkeys d. sigmakittens
44-31
It's primates versus felines this week on Animal Planet. Yeah, it wasn't much of a battle. The Monkey's really only needed Corey Dillon's 16 to succeed. The only relatively decent score for the Sigmakittens was Priest Holmes scroing 12. The Monkeys take one for the primates.

Akshar Did It d. Fiesty Clowns
34-30
Move along. Nothing to see here. What's that? I'm contractually obligated to actually write something? *swears in Manderin* Fine, I guess ADI getting 11 off of Roethlisberger is something. A win is a win, and ADI has one.

west coast style d. Jc's Evil Empire
56-38
"It's the Evil Empire's slew of running backs Jamal Lewis, Steven Jackson and Ronnie Brown vs. WCS's stable of recivers Terell Owens, Marvin Harrison and Drew Bennet.” The one problem with having a slew of RBs is that they really have to get a lot of touches to produce yardage and scores. The Empire's RBs didn't get either. Harrison and Owens were able to combine for 14 on WCS's team. “What Fred Taylor and Byron Leftwich does will determine how WCS will do.” Well, they both won, and hey, so did WCS. Psychic points for Ed!

Wow, there's a major fantasy point difference between the tops and bottoms of both the winners and the losers. Could fantasy points play an even larger role in determining who makes the playoffs than they have in year's past? Obviously, it's way too early to tell, but it'll be an interesting thought to ponder as the weeks go on. Catch you next week.

WEEK 1 RESULTS
Koko's X-Cats149.33Stevies Scapegoats 117.39
The X-Cats ran away with the game with massive advantages from MArc Bulger over Jake Delhomme 49.60 to 18.70, and the running game in which Willis McGahee and Julius Jones outscored Warrick Dunn and Kevin Faulk 25.20 to 11.73. The X-Cats got 17 points each from Darren Sharper and the Philadelphia Eagles defense as well as 10.60 points from Daerrick Mason. Stevie's Scapegoats got 21 points from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense as well as 13.60 points from Marvin Harrison and 11.30 points from Chad Johnson.

Jc's Evil Empire 134.54 Nor Cal Crushers129.04
The Evil Empire eeked out a close victory over the game Crushers when kicker John Carney outscored Nate Kaeding 13 to 6.50. The Evil Empire was led by the Buffalo Bills defense which put up a mighty 27 points and Ben Roethlisberger who put up a strong 24.10 points. Brian Westbrook scored 16.90 points, Terrell Owens scored 10.97 points and Ladainian Thomlinson contributed 10.80 points. The Crushers were led by Jake Plummer's 21.57 points and Steve Smith's 20.20 points. The Pittsburgh Steelrs defense scored 19 points and Randy McMicheal scored 13.67 points.

Tomahawks 111.06 Cooney Quest103.47
A case of role reversal played a huge role in deciding this contest as the opportunistic Indianapolis Colts defense scored 26 points while the usually ball hawking New England Patriots defense only managed 8 points. Peyton Manning scored his points for the Tomahawks getting 30.83 points but Joey HArrington got 26 points. Plexico Burress scored 13.87 points and Jeff Reed scored 11 points for the Tomahawks. Keenan McCardell scored 24.70 points for the Quest but no one else stepped up. The loss of Javon Walker particularly hurts the Quest.

Beckham Pwns All119.03sigmakittens 63.50
The Kitties crashed and burned getting only 12.50 points fromPriest Holmes and 12.10 points from Trent Green and massive dissapiontment everwhere else on their roster. Drew Brees nearly outscored those two with 24.10 points. Add 24.17 points from Jimmy Smith, 16 points from the Washington Redskin defense, 15.13 points from Tiki Barber, and 11 points from Shane Graham and it's Beckham Pwns All going away.

Cromer Angry Smash! 130.42 Tolman107.51
The kicker and recivers settled this one as Jeff Wilkins outscored Sebastian Janikowski 16-2 for Cromer Angry Smash! and their recivers Laveranues Coles, Larry Fitzgerald, Santana Moss and Jeremy Shockey outperformed Tolman's recievers Joey Galloway, Terry Glenn, Keyshawn Johnson and Alge Crumpler (way too dangerously relaint on the Cowboy's passing game. It'll be Tolman's downfall this year) 48.56 to 39.7. Cromer Angry Smash! also got 17 points from the Jacksonville Jaguars defense and 15.13 points from Brett Farve. Tolman got 26.77 points from Matt Hasselback and 14.50 points from Jason Taylor.

Pelan's Bobcats94.63Dogs in the Bathtub 68.20
While Micheal Vick is an amazing athlete and perhaps the most exciting player in the NFL he is a crappy fantasy football player. Not good news for Dogs in the Bathtub.
Actually he was all they had. Scoring 18.73 points for them. Tom Brady scored 34.13 for teh Bobcats and it was over.
What's worse is they are depending on unproven players like Cedric Benson,Kevin Barlow (who is a major disappointment to say the least), Charles Rogers who has yet to play a whole season IN HIS CAREER, Clarence Moore.
These 4 players combined for a puny 16.24 points!
Corey Dillon scored 19.20 points and Rudi Johnson scored 16.20 for the Bobcats who were blessed with the soft spot on their schedule.

Mechanicatz 124.67 Fiesty Clowns71.40
Drew Bledsoe vs. Daunte Culpepper is an ugly mismatch for the Mechanicatz.
Whoda thunk that it would be Daunte Culpepper laying the egg and Drew Bledsoe winning the battle 34 to 12..03 points. That's just about all you need to know about the Fiesty Clowns week as 12.57 points from Issac Bruce was the maximum point production they recieved from their woeful roster last week. The Mechanicatz got 17.17 points from Randy Moss,15.87 points from Cadillac Williams, 14 points from the Atlanta Falcons defense ,and 13.33 points from Torry Holt to win going away.

WBI-461 113.94 wst Coast Style89.57
wst Coast Style made a huge mistake going with Jerome Bettis and Duce Staley who are both out and were at a disadvantage already against Deuce McAllister and Steven Jackson.
How does a 23.97 to 0 advantage sound?
Donvan McNabb put up a decent 22.57 and Deion Branch and teh Minnasota Vikings D put up a respectable 16.10 and 16 points respectively it wasn't enough in wake of Kerry Collins 35.97 points, and Zach Thomas 11 points as well as that glaring defecit in the running game.

WEEK 2 SCEDULE
Mechanicatz(1-0)vs. Koko's X-Cats(1-0)
Marc Bulger is the big gun for the X-Cats as Willis McGahee could find tough sailing against the tough Bucs D who will stack the box Sunday and force JP Losman to beat them. The Mechanicatz may soon regret putting their faith in Drew Bledsoe who will find out Monday night if he can handle a blitz from the 'Skins. Cadillac Williams could be rendered ineffective on Sunday by the airtight Bills D. They have a sizable advnatage at reciever and that could be the difference.

Jc's Evil Empire(1-0) vs. Tomahawks(1-0)
The Tomahawks lean on Peyton Manning's right arm but the Evil Empire can stomp youto death with the 4 legs of LaDanian Thomlinson and Brian Westbrook. That makes the Evil Empire very tough but they can;t expect Ben Roethlisberger to match Manning. If the backs play like they're supposed to he won't have to. The tight end match up is one for the ages. Tony Gonzales for the Evil Empire vs. Antonio Gates for the Tomahawks.

Nor Cal Crushers(0-1) vs. wst Coast Style(0-1)
wst Coast Style is rolling the dice going with the Dolphin's Gus Freotte. The Crusher's Jake Plummer muist take advantage! Also wst Coast style should expect little or nothing from Jerome Bettis so unless Fast Willie PArker has another huge game he'll be hard pressed to outmuscle Lamont Jordan and Larry Johnson.

sigmakittens(0-1) vs. Cooney Quest(0-1)
The Kitties are going to continue to rely on KC's one two punch of Trent Green and Priest Holmes but could really use some prodection from Micheal Bennet and Andre Johnson to get going. The Quest probably can't rely on Joey HArrington so they need a big game from Ahman Green.

Cromer Angry Smash!(1-0) vs. Beckham Pwns All(1-0)
The Smash need Brett Farve to show up and be Brett Farve. The running game is a tough match with Edgerrin James and Curtis Martin going for the Smash vs. Domanick Davis and Tiki Barber for Beckham. The Smash sport a blank ont he D and that could hurt them in the long run.

Dogs in the Bathtub(0-1) vs.Tolman(0-1)
Hasselback and Vick go head to head on the field and on the Fantasy roster. Tolman might get the better of the deal with Hasselback. The DOgs are really hurting at running back and Tolman should administer the killing stroke with Jamal Lewis and Clinton Portis on their side.

Pelan's Bobcats(1-0)vs.Stevies Scapegoats(0-1)
Like the previous matchup Jake Delhomme vs. Tom Brady happens in Fantasy and reality. In these kind of game Tom Brady tends to forsake stats for the sake of the team and Jake Delhomme will get his yards but what he does in the red zone will determine how sucessful the Scapegoats are. The Bobcats have a sizeable advantage at running back with Rudi Johnson and Corey Dillon who I suspect is who New England will rely on to defeat Carolina thus he will have big stats.

WBI-461(1-0) vs.Fiesty Clowns(0-1)
WBI-461's Kerry Collins and the Fiesty Clowns Daunte Culpepper are both due for bigtime weekends the difference is WBI-161 got fantasy stud Duece McAllister and the criminallyunderused Steven Jackson (Mike MArtz is stillan idiot. It's about as certain as death and taxes) while the Clowns Kevin Jones might as well be sloggin through mud against a nasty Bears defense and Chris Perry won't get alot of chances to make a difference.

WEEK 1 SCEDULE
Rhode Island Voltaic(1-0)vs. Koko's X-Cats(1-0)
The Voltaic have instant offense with Peyton Manning but the X-Cats Kerry Collins could be just as capable with Randy Moss on his side. The X-Cats also have Willis McGahee and Lamont Jordan while the Voltaic have the not quite as effective Warrick Dunn and a fleet of recivers. Two of them are returners and are not heavily featured in their team's offense.

wst Coast Style(1-0)
vs. Nor Cal Crushers(0-1)
The Crushers are strong at running back with LaDamian Thomlinson and Brian Westbrook and may need to be with the mercurial Jake Plummer around. Byron Leftwich is no Dan MArino for wst Coast Style but he makes less mistakes. While Fred Taylor is adequet (when healthy) Micheal Pittman is now just an afterthought in Tampa.

Dunedain(0-1)vs. The Tacoites(0-1)
Dunedain has a huge advantage at running back with both Tiki Barber and Ahman Green while The Tacoites are stuck with Kevan Barlow. That means they'll need a big game from Tom Brady but this weeks game looks like one of those game that Brady just manages instead of putting up big stats so the Pats can win. Not a good sign for the Tacoites.

FirstFORCE(1-0)vs.Stevies Scapegoats(0-1)
Stevies Scapegoats are hoping for a better game out of Daunte Culpepper this week than the rookie like disaster he laid out in the dome last week. FirstFORCE on the otehr hand is hoping for a repeat strong performance from Brian Griese this week. They are more likely to get thier help from Duece McAlister and Rudi Johnson.

Team THRUST(1-0) vs. QC Elite(0-1)
Team THRUST got a strong fantasy performer in MArc Bulger who can put up points in bunches in the pass happy Rams offense. The ELite hope to counter with the triple headed running machine of Chris Brown, Tatum Bell and Micheal Bennet. A strong showing from Aaron Brooks would help as well.

Cooney Quest(1-0)vs.Pelan's Bobcats(0-1)
The Bobcats happily acknowledge the return of Antonio Gates and will need his strong offensive production because they will be without Duce Staley but stiull decided to waste a roster spot on him. That means Shaun Alexander has to do more. The Quest are just hoping for Brett Farve to return to normal and that TJ Duckett gets lots of red zone carries.

I Will Crush You(1-0)vs. hurricnaes(0-1)
Teh Canes Donovan McNAbb is hurting and I Will Crush you's three headed monster of Domanick Davis, Clinton Portis and Larry Johnson could make this ugly. JJ Arrington is certainly not going to outperform these three.

Your Ad Here(1-0) vs. sigmakittens(0-1)
The kitties are hoping to get strong play out of Jake Dellohme, Preist Holmes and Curtis Martin while Your Ad Here fires back with Randy Moss and Julius Jones. What Steve McNAir manages to do will ultimately decde their fate.

Coco's Monkeys(1-0) vs. Fiesty Clowns(0-1)
The Clowns could see better fortune ahead with a stronger quaterback ( Carson Palmer over Joey Harrington) and running backs ( Edgerrin James and Kevin Jones are better than Corey Dillion just becasue there are two of them. BJ Sams doesn't count. He's just a returner.) The Monkeys are stronger on defense because the Clowns have a pair of inactive players on their defensive roster.

Jc's Evil Empire(0-1) vs. Akshar Did It(1-0)
The Drew Bledsoe / MArk Brunell matchup would have been intriuging.... 5 years ago. Now it's a qiestion of who will give them more points and less headaches. In this case I'd give the nod to Drew BLedsoe and the Evil Empire. Where the Empire really thrives is at running back where Jamal LEwis, Steven Jackson (so long as AMrtz doesn't try to be sucha "genuis" ) and Ronnie Brown have a distinct advantage over Chad Morton.

Am I the only person who realizes that returners are worth their weight in gold simply for the return yardage? It may not be big points, but they're usually quite consistant.

Let's put it this way. Even with Dilfer passing all night long, every game, because he has to get his team out of a hole, he probably won't score half as many points as McNabb does over the season.

There is NO possibility whatsoever that he will score more points than McNabb, barring a season ending injury.

Re: 2006 FIRST Fantasy Football

The Pennington for Alexander trade actually is that moronic at all. You can't base Chad on one bad game (his first since major shoulder surgery), I believe they will have a close amount of points by the end of the year.

However, Donovan McNabb for Trent Dilfer has to be one of the worst trades I have actually seen accepted in my 5 years of any fantasy sport. You want to trade the reining NFC champion QB for a guy who's team is on the clock for the first pick in the draft. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but there is no way that trade should be accepted.

Alexander's fantasy value is far, far greater than Pennington's. QB's naturally score more points, but there's more quality QB's available, so the points scored by the top RB's are much more valuable. Alexander is the second best RB in the league. Pennington isn't even a second tier fantasy QB. I wouldn't take him as my backup.

Last year (Yeah, Pennington was injured, but he put up numbers comparable to his career averages) Pennington was the 21st best fantasy QB. Guys like Brian Griese scored more points than him (didn't play a whole season either), Joey Harrington, David Carr, etc.

Shaun Alexander was the #2 RB, with only 3 points less than Tiki Barber.

Which one is more valuable?

Ok, so I reversed who was getting who.

Either way, it's still the worst trade in the history of fantasy football

Week II Post-Game Analysis

Ugh, Santana Moss scores 19 from my bench… Anyhow:

Rhode Island Voltaic (1-0) d. Koko's X-Cats (1-0)
49-41
It was a battle of dreadnoughts… firing blanks at each other. Note the two zeros put up by Rhode Island’s Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne of all people. The Cats got nothing out of their kicker and TE, while their best offensive score was LaMont Jordan’s 9. On the flip side of things, John Kasay managed to plop up an impressive 13, and Dante Hall came through with 8 (sorry, had to stick that one to Ed :p). Rhode Island fired an actual shell in the midst of the battle, sinking the X-Cats to .500.

Nor Cal Crushers (0-1) d. west coast style (1-0)
75-52
“The Crushers are strong at running back with LaDamian Thomlinson and Brian Westbrook…” Combined total of 25 right there. Terrell Owens pulled the top score of 19 for WCS in an attempt to route the Crushers, but beyond Terrence McGee’s 12, they wouldn’t get much else. Chicago’s 20 for Nor Cal finished the job.

The Tacoites (0-1) d. Dunedain (0-1)
46-43
This is also another game that probably should’ve been higher scoring. Defenses were even. Dunedain was able to take the running game 20-2, while The Tacoites took receiving 15-7. The difference: QBs. Either Brady’s 3 won it for the Tacoites, or Brees suprising -3 lost it for Dunedain.

FIRSTforce (1-0) d. Stevies Scapegoats (0-1)
48-41
“Stevies Scapegoats are hoping for a better game out of Daunte Culpepper this week than the rookie like disaster he laid out in the dome last week.” Well, he scored 13 points more… which is still an unimpressive 4. Nonetheless, they started out decently enough with a Wille Parker 11 and a Roy Williams 10. But with a low scoring defense, the Scapegoats couldn’t defeat the Force, who led with a defensive 23. Their other source of points was Neil Rackers’s 12, which boosted them to victory.

Team THRUST (1-0) d. QC Elite (0-1)
68-23
Talk about dominating. I’ll give the Elite credit for their Giants taking 19. Great supplementary scoring for any team… except when it’s your only score. I’ll avoid adding insult to injury, and just point out that Stephen Davis’s 21 looked great in the Thrust’s scoring column this week.

Cooney Quest(1-0) d. Pelan's Bobcats(0-1)
50-35
Here we have the battle of defenses that couldn’t score to save their team’s lives. Shaun Alexander led the still less than full power Bobcats with 13. But again, they were at less than full power. Cooney’s offense, on the other hand, came through big. Favre did way better than last week with a 13. Muhammad and Coles combined for 19. And everyone on the offense scored at least 3. A win who’s only imperfection was (lack of) defensive scoring.

IwillCrushYou (1-0) d. hurricanes (0-1)
48-44
You know, for a hurt guy, McNabb’s 22 is looking pretty good. Sadly, the rest of the Cane’s offense did next to nothing. Beyond Matt Hasselbeck’s 12, IWCY didn’t have any single impressive scores on offense, but their entire offense worked its tail off to compensate for the utter lack of defense. This is the second very close loss in a row for the Hurricanes.

Your Ad Here (1-0) d. sigmakittens (0-1)
73-53
If the first match was dread-not versus dread-not (like my pun?), this was pure battleship on battleship action. The Kittens fired first with 32 coming from Glenn, Horn, and Holmes. YAH countered with a barrage of 41 from Ward, Graham, and Randy Moss. Okay, there was some gun damage when it came to both defenses, but neither were terrible. The Kittens’ took a nasty blow in the QB spot though, with a surprising nill from Delhomme. YAH won the scoring battle, putting them in first place.

Fiesty Klowns (0-1) d. Coco's Monkeys (1-0)
58-30
“The Klowns could see better fortune ahead with a stronger quarterback (Carson Palmer over Joey Harrington)…” Exactly what happened, with Palmer outscoring Harrington 15 to -3. The rest of the scores on offense looked the same. “The Monkeys are stronger on defense because the Klowns have a pair of inactive players on their defensive roster.” Again, true, but Cincinnati offset this for the Klowns by scoring 19. With the Klowns outright exploiting their advantages, while mostly nullifying their disadvantages, the Monkeys didn’t stand a chance.

Akshar Did It (1-0) d. Jc's Evil Empire (0-1)
52-37
ADI had a much better game this week. The defense led them with 24, and Brunell’s 11 only exacerbated the Empire’s downfall. Their offense didn’t do much beyond Steven Jackson’s 10. An only decent defensive showing kept them in the hole and winless.

WEEK 2 SCEDULE
Koko's X-Cats(2-0)94.13 Mechanicatz(1-1)93.84
The X-Cats thought they were crusing on easy street jumping out to a big lead early then having to sweat out the last drive on Monday night as Drew Bledsoe regressed to his 2004 form and threw a 3 yard pass on 4th and 4 thus peserving the X-Cat's victory. The X-Cats were led the the Philadelphia Eagles defense who scored 22 points , Marc Bulger who scored 20.20 point sna Derrick Mason who scored 14 points. The Mechanicatz were led by Drew Bledsoe's 25.53 points, Randy Moss' 16.97 points, Cadillac William's 14.53 points and Torry Holt's 12.67 but played KRis Jenkins whi was on IR and an innefective Sam Cowart.

Jc's Evil Empire(2-0)129.03 Tomahawks(1-1)96.60
That makes the Evil Empire very tough but they can't expect Ben Roethlisberger to match Manning. If the backs play like they're supposed to he won't have to.
How very wrong I was. Big Ben slammed Peyton to the turf 27.47 to 8.57 and the rout was on! Thomlinson and Westbrook crushed the Tomahawks twosome of Tatum Bell and Brandon Jacobs 30.97 to 6.33 (all Jacobs). Terrell Owens added 24.03 points. The Indianapolis Colts defense led the way for the Tomahawks with 25 points followed by 14.40 points by Mushin Muhammad and 10 points from Jake Reed.

Nor Cal Crushers(1-1) 151.93 wst Coast Style(0-2)89.23
wst Coast Style is rolling the dice going with the Dolphin's Gus Freotte. The Crusher's Jake Plummer must take advantage! Also wst Coast style should expect little or nothing from Jerome Bettis so unless Fast Willie Parker has another huge game he'll be hard pressed to outmuscle Lamont Jordan and Larry Johnson.Well i n typical Jake Plummer fashion he played down to the competiton and was actually outscored by Freotte. But Parker was overmatched against Jordon and Shaun ALexnader who outscored him 32.40 to 13.40. The Evil Empire got 29 points from the Pittsburgh Steelers defense, 19.03 points from Joe Horn and 15.13 points from Randy McMicheal. wst Coast Style got 15.50 points from Troy Polomeanu, 15.40 from Donte Stallwoth and 11 points from Kieth Bullock but the -2 points from the Minnesota Viking defense absolutely killed them.

Cooney Quest(1-1)80.59
sigmakittens(0-2) 68.89
The Kitties are going to continue to rely on KC's one two punch of Trent Green and Priest Holmes but could really use some prodection from Micheal Bennet and Andre Johnson to get going. The Quest probably can't rely on Joey HArrington so they need a big game from Ahman Green.
The kitties got 30.53 points from Green and Holmes but outside of the 13 points from the San Deigo Chargers defense they got almost nothing from the rest of the roster. Harrington didin't light the world on fire but he contributed 11.63 points that went nicely with Braylon Edwards 14.63 points and the New England Patriots defense 11.5 points. Look no further than the 34 to 17.5 advantage on defense to why Cooney Quest won.

Cromer Angry Smash!(2-0) 152.93 Beckham Pwns All(1-1)88.62
Beckham may Pwn All but Farve Pwns Beckham Pwns All crushing Drew Brees 42.67 to 10.33. Thier recievers outscored Beckham's recivers 53.23 to 17.23. Just ugly. Cromer's ANgry Smash! got 25 points from the NEw York Giants defense and 13.13 points from Edgerrin James. Beckham Pwns All got 18.43 points from Tiki Barber, 14.50 points from Shane Graham and 14.13 points from Domanick Davis.

Tolman(1-1) 111.06Dogs in the Bathtub(0-1) 100.11
Matt Hasselback outscored Micheal Vick for Tolman 31.97 to 18.47 to provid the margin of victory for them. The Cincinatti Bengals defense added 22 points and Terry Glenn added 19.47 points for Tolman. T.J. Houshmandzadeh scored 19.77 points, Lawrence Tynes added 13 points, Mike Vrabel contributed 11.50 and Jerramy Stevens put in 10.77 for the Dogs in the Bathtub.

Stevies Scapegoats(1-1)87.04 Pelan's Bobcats(1-1) 76.80
Jake Delhomme was disappointing last week putting up only 8.5 points to Tom Brady's 23.50 but Stevies Scapegoats were saved by thier defense who put up 39 points to the Bobcat's 12 points due to two goose eggs due to a blank roster spot and an inactive player.Chad Johnson contributed 18.77 points for the Scapegoats while Roy Williams scored 14.90 points for the Bobcats.

WBI-461(2-0) 104.54 Fiesty Clowns(0-2)86.43
Steve Jackson and Duece McALlister outsocred Kevin Jones and Chris Perry 23.34 to 9.66 to provide the difference in a tight matchup. Kerry Collins added 24.93 points, Anquan Boldin put in 11.93 points and both Jay Feeley and Antonio Pierce scored 10 points a piece for WBI-461. The Fiesty Clowns were led by Daunte Culpepper who scored 18.03 points, DOnald Driver who scored 16 points and the NEw York Giants defense who added 12.

WEEK 3 SCEDULE
Koko's X-Cats(2-0) vs. WBI-461(2-0)
The X-Cats best opportunity may lie in exploiting the Marc Bulger/ Kerry Collins matchup as Bulger is going against the rebuilding Titans at home while Collins could be running for his life all day against the vicious Eagles defense. This could be a double bonus for the X-Cats as they have the Phiadelphia Eagles defense as well. The X-Cats need a big week from their defense becasue the running back matchup is even and could go either way.

Jc's Evil Empire(2-0)vs. sigmakittens(0-2)
The only chace the kitties have is massive games from Holmes and Green because they will be hard pressed to match the Evil Empire's firepower even if Big Ben doesn't make thing happen against New England.

Nor Cal Crushers(1-1) vs. Tomahawks(1-1)
Is this the week Peyton Manning makes things happen for the Tomahawks? They'd better hope so because their running backs Tatum Bell and Brandon Jacobs cannot match Lamont Jordan and Shaun Alexander. The Crushers need to fill in a spot for Ray Lewis who is on a bye.

Cooney Quest(1-1)vs. Cromer Angry Smash!(2-0)
The Smash are hoping Brett Farve continues to improve against eh very tough Bucs D but the Quest's Kurt Warner has yet to make any plays this season so Farve doesn't have to do alot to win the matchup. The Smashhave the advantage in the running game unless Ronnie Brown can play more like his ols Aubirn running mate Cadillaic Williams.

Beckham Pwns All(1-1)Dogs in the Bathtub(0-2)
Beckham Pwns All has a bigtimne advantage with Micehal Vick hurting ont he road against a very nasty (and angry) Bills defense and not muchat running back for the Dogs. If Drew Brees makes plays they should win easily.

Tolman(1-1)vs. Stevies Scapegoats(1-1)
Tolman is sleeping at the wheel going with a bye saddled Clinton Portis leaving only backup Travis FIsher to take on the SCapegoat's Kyle Johnson and Warrick Dunn. Unless Matt Hasselback can pound Jake Delhomme things look pretty grim for them.

Pelan's Bobcats(1-1) vs. Mechanicatz(1-1)
Not sure if the Mechinacatz's Drew Bledsoe can dominate former understudy Tom Brady but the Steelrs D may. WHat really could do the Bobcats in is Roy Williams and MAtt Stover on a bye, an absent Peppi Zellner on defense, a who's tha? forFabian Washington and the blank spot on the defense. Making it way to easy for the Mechinacatz.

Fiesty Clowns(0-2)vs.wst Coast Style(0-2)
Yet another case of roster mismanagment as wst Coast Style has two players on byes palying.Chris Cooley and MArcus Pollard taking up a roster spot. Fortunately the league did them a favor and vetoed the McNAbb for Dilfer so Donovan is still there to destroy the non existant Raiders defense for his team while the Clowns are frustrated with Daunte Culpeppers poor production so far and a weak backfield with Mewelde Moore and Chris Perry. Mike ALscott isn't the offense threat he once was but Fast Willie PArker could be huge for wst Coast Style.

WEEK 3 SCEDULE
Nor Cal Crushers(1-1) vs. Koko's X-Cats(1-1)
The Crushers are looking to Crush the X-Cats with their three headed monster LaDanian Thomlinson, Brian Westbrook and Carnell Williams. Willis McGahee needs to step up and Kerry Collins needs to comethrough for the X-Cats to have a chance.

Rhode Island Voltaic(2-0)vs. The Tacoites(1-1)
The Voltaic have a an advantage with a waiting to explode Peyton Manning in the chamber and a much more productive Warrick Dunn instead of Kevan Barlow. I don't know how much Tom Brady can give to the Tacoites against a very tough Steelrs team.

Dunedain(0-2)vs.Stevies Scapegoats(0-2)
The Scapegoats are still waiting for Daunte Culpepper to come around and depend more on Fas Willie PArker to have their back. Dunedain does not have to worry so much about Drew Brees but Tiki Barber may be a bigger performer for them.

FirstFORCE(2-0) vs. QC Elite(0-2)
It never helps to sport two blanks on defense but to have a mercurial talent at quarterback and a running back that seems to always be hurt does not help the QC Elite at all. FirstFORCE has Duece McALlister on their side and he may be more productive than the ELite's Arron Brooks.

Team THRUST(2-0) vs.Pelan's Bobcats(0-2)
Team THRUST lean on Marc Bulger but I'm not sure how much they'll get from Derrick Baylock. Trent Green hasn't been the most productive player for the Bobcats but Shaun ALerxnader is a stud and may be enough for the Bobcats to break through.

Cooney Quest(2-0)vs. hurricnaes(0-2)
The Canes could blugeon the Quest to death with Donovan McNAbb. Brett Farve isn't the player he once was but the Quest will probably get more from thier running back TJ Duckett than the Canes will get from JJ Arrington.

I Will Crush You(2-0) vs. sigmakittens(0-2)
The kitties have a potentially tough one tow running back punch with Curtis MArtin and Priest Holmes but would like to get more from Jake Delhomme. I Will Crush You needs Larry Johnson to make the most of his opportunities but really need a big game from Matt Hasdselback.

Your Ad Here(2-0)vs. Fiesty Clowns(1-1)
The Fiesty Clowns have doomed themselves to failure by having two non performers on defense and Kevin Jones and ANdre Johnson on a bye. Unless Carson Palmer and Edgerrin James have career games Your Ad Here won't need Steve McNair, Julius Jones or Randy Moss to all be bigitme (though on of them have to be).

Jc's Evil Empire(0-2) vs.Coco's Monkeys(1-1)
Both the Evil Empire and the Monkeys are sporting bye based blank spots on their rosters (the missing Redskins D will hurt the Evil Empire more than Jabbar Gaffeny not playing for the Monkeys) . Both teams are waiting for their quarterbacks to step up but the Monleys get the nod at runningback with Corey Dillon more needed to make plays for the Patriots to hope to win while ROnnie Brown looks every bit like a rookie.

Akshar Did It(2-0)vs. wst Coast Style(1-1)
Ashkar Did It may not get big numbers from Ben Roethlisberger and who is Maurice Hicks? wst Coast Style is leaning a bit much on the Jaguars offense with Leftwich and Taylor but Terrell Owens will be the difference.

I think I'm going to break 100.

Steve Smith just caught another TD pass. 53 yards.

Sittin pretty at 68 with Plummer, LT, and Dallas still to go.

Re: 2006 FIRST Fantasy Football

LT is a nasty, nasty man.

I don't think I'm going to see a week like this again... all my RB's scored 20+, and would have been enough to take down anyone this week.

And I still have Plummer to go. Anyone remember the all time high score for a week in the FIRST league? I think Phillycheesesteak had one around 120 in 2003.

EddieMcD 26-09-2005 17:05

Re: 2006 FIRST Fantasy Football

Dunedain pulled 169 in the first round of the playoffs in 2003 (highest regular season was a 157 by the Philly Cheesesteaks Week XII that year). But there's probably never going to be scores that high in The FIRST Robotics Football League again since that was the year players got a point per reception/completion.

wow, way to have a horrible scoring system this year your efforts to make the scoring fair...look at this either they have people that fit your scoring system or dont 8 teams i belive are 2-0 yeah that is bad... with another like 6 at 0-2 this is just a horrible league i would drop it if it would let me but benching all my players will be good enough
And Alex, I told you to take your issues up with me personally multiple times, and you did everything but. I stand by all my decisions, and this is my last talk on anything related to them.

Back on topic, poor Ed. He has the second highest fantasy score, and he's 1-2. Talk about two tough losses there. Oh, and I must again point out that a returner bailed me out for the second week in a row. :p

Also, congrats to Cory for scoring at least double everybody elses score (except for Ed's) this week. That was impressive.

I feel bad for Ed. He could have easily beaten anyone else this week...except me :)

Hopefully this year doesn't turn into the opposite of last for me (slow start, huge finish) into fast start, bad finish.

well yes your returners bailed you out again because you rigged it so that you had a more chance of a win for you then others. switching the draft order right before draft to non random and you get the best players....... and so on.

It's a serpentine draft.

he had a better chance at getting the top player than you did. After that, the first few picks don't get much of anything in a league this large.

At any rate, Peyton isn't exactly tearing it up, so I'm failing to see any relevancy

ya but still, a change in the last second so he would be on top of everyone else is not a sign of a good/fair commisioner.

Ok I see where that is unfair. But I still Don't see where the scoreing is unfair. Go through and pick up drummond or some other good kick returner if they get the most points. He has Hall from KC and Moss from WAS thats it. Randle El is ok but not the best. There is many more kick returners out there. If they score the most points, pick them up. If you don't want to then thats on you.

Everyone knew it was going to be in the order you joined.

He said that before, and it's been that way in past years.

personally, I happen to like it that way this year, since I joined second.

If I had joined last, I wouldn't. But that doesn't ,ake it unfair just cuz I don't like it.

Posted 08-02-05:
The draft is an autopick (barring my standard 100% unanimous clause, which never happens). I do this because there's always a few people who's schedules don't mesh, and that makes it extremely disadvantageous for those who can't make it. However, you can pre-rank your players on your team page (and I'd suggest doing this because Yahoo's rankings inhale audibly) Draft order is first come, first served. Check the managers page. The order on that is the order of the draft (and should help you in determining who to pick according to the numbers). The draft order reverses every round, and the waiver priority is the reverse of the first-round order (IOW, the first pick in the draft is last with the waiver priority).

Re: 2006 FIRST Fantasy Football

Antwaan Randel El, you IDIOT!!! Okay, got that off my chest. Week III:

Rhode Island Voltaic (2-0) d. The Tacoites (1-1)
51-48
One of these days, Rhode Island is going to bust out that awesome offense. Today wasn’t that day. Their defense pulled through with 27 though. Which is more than can be said for the Tacoites. Yeah, Chad Johnson got them 15. But they couldn’t muster up much more. Okay, it took Dante Hall bailing out the Voltaic on Monday night again, but they’re still undefeated.

Nor Cal Crushers (1-1) d. Koko's X-Cats (1-1)
128-73
Yeah… what can you say about the X-Cats except it’s their second very tough loss in a row. Let’s look at the good: Kerry Collins with 13, their RBs combining for 21, a 12 from the K spot, and Dwight Freeny’s 11. The bad: the fact that they were playing the appropriately named Crushers this week. I mean, when Thomlison, Westbrook, and Steve Smith combine for 74 on their own, any matchup is prettymuch over. We’ll just add Plummer’s 12, Nugent’s 9, a defensive 26, and “Cadillac” Williams’s low score of 7 for completeness. Yes, that was indeed a low score of 7 coming form Nor Cal. I think they won…

Stevies Scapegoats (0-2) d. Dunedain (0-2)
66-61
Speaking of tough losses, Dunedain was coming off a tough one last week They managed to step up their game too. Brees finally performed with 11, Keyshawn Johnson gave them 13, and Thomas Jones and Zach Thomas both tallied 11. So what went wrong? Well, for starters, the Kansas City DEF came out like Swiss Cheese on Monday night (which explains how Dante Hall got so may returns for the Voltaic in that first game) scoring -1. The second was having your opponent lead out with a Culpepper 18 (yes, Culpepper actually did his job on Sunday). Joey Galloway would tack on another 14, while Atlanta would actually score positive points (they gave the Scapegoats 9). This would make it the second tough loss in a row for Dunedain.

FIRSTforce (2-0) d. QC Elite (0-2)
56-22
On paper, the Elite should be winning. It’s just that something different goes wrong each and every week. This week, it’s a total defensive effort of -3. While FIRSTforce probably could’ve done better, they really didn’t have to. Neil Rackers again impressed us from the K spot with 16, while the two Ds combined for 16. The rest of the offense was mediocre at best, but as I said earlier, it’s not like they needed the extra scoring on their way to their third straight win.

Pelan's Bobcats (0-2) d. Team THRUST (2-0)
68-61
“Trent Green hasn't been the most productive player for the Bobcats but Shaun Alexander is a stud and may be enough for the Bobcats to break through.” Trent Green with a “not the most productive” 7, Shaun Alexander with a studly (if it’s not a word, it’s an Eddieism :p) 31. Ed tallies one more psychic point. That still wasn’t enough on its own. Luckily, the Bobcats had Antonio Gates break into double digits with 10, and the Jets added another 11. The Thrust tried to counter with their WRs totaling 24, and Jason Elam scoring 12. It was all the real scoring they’d get though, allowing the Bobcats to pick up their first win.

hurricanes (0-2) d. Cooney Quest (2-0)
47-30
Ugh… just ugh. When your prized offense gets the majority of its points from solo tackles, it’s time to worry. Cooney’s defense did next-to-nothing, while nobody could seem to break into double digits. Moving to the Hurricanes, you can see that they didn’t have the greatest week themselves. Still, Chambers and Lindell both went with a 10, and McNabb provided 12. Whatever was left was more than enough to give them their first win.

sigmakittens (0-2) d. IwillCrushYou (2-0)
44-32
What’s with all the winless teams getting by the undefeated teams? In what was probably just a fluke, IWCY just simply broke down. Their high score was James Farrior with 11, but they had a -3 from their running game, and a -2 from the K spot. The Kittens got by with Delhomme’s 11 and Seattle’s 10. While having two donuts on the scoreboard, the rest of the Sigmakittens all scored at least 4. Not a pretty win, but it’s a win nonetheless.

Your Ad Here (2-0) d. Feisty Clowns (1-1)
52-48
“The Feisty Clowns have doomed themselves to failure by having two non performers on defense and Kevin Jones and Andre Johnson on a bye.” So that’s four 0s right there. Still: “Unless Carson Palmer and Edgerrin James have career games…” Not quite career games, but they combined for 26. I might as well toss out props to Cincinnati for scoring 15 too. “…Your Ad Here won't need Steve McNair, Julius Jones, or Randy Moss to all be bigtime.” Unfortunately, the rest of YAH did almost nothing (keyword: almost), so those three in particular had to come through. And they did, combining for 39. YAH’s “almost nothing” still was more than the Clowns literal nothing, keeping them undefeated.

Jc's Evil Empire (0-2) d. Coco's Monkeys (1-1)
61-39
It’s about time the Empire’s offense did something other than twiddling their thumbs. Drew Bledsoe threw like the mulit-time Pro-Bowler he is/was, scoring 20. Ronnie Brown also provided some pointage (that’s two Eddieisms this week :p) with his 12. Nothing else as impressive popped up for the Empire, but their only bad thing was a Washington zero due to a bye. Meanwhile, after Corey Dillon’s 16 and a defensive 22, the Monkeys literally fell flat on their face. We have our fifth winless team to win this week.

Akshar Did It (2-0) d. west coast style (1-1)
56-55
This is what I call “hanging on by a thread”. It was donutville (there’s the third Eddieism :p) in receiverland (followed quickly by a forth :p) for ADI, and WCS had a bye in the kicker position (not to mention loosing Rodney Harrison in the first quarter). Which would cost more? ADI had Roethlisberger score 11, followed up by Vinatieri’s 10 and the defense’s 23. Fred Taylor, Terrell Owens, and Miami all put up 10s for WCS, and Donnie Edwards had their high score of 11 (combined defense of 22 there). So in what was a very close game, it looks like the lack of points from the K spot, and the loss of whatever points Harrison would’ve scored had he not gotten hurt, hurt WCS just enough for ADI to squeeze by undefeated.

Yay, organized leaderboard! We lost three undefeated teams (who hilariously all lost to winless teams) this week. One weird little anomaly: the team with the highest fantasy score (Nor Cal) is at 2-1, and the team with the second highest score (X-Cats) is at 1-2. Both teams lost to Rhode Island, (who's back in 7th when it comes to fantasy scores), and the X-Cats other loss came to Nor Cal. Talk about twisted...

This is my third consecutive week in 11th place. It's really starting to get annoying.

please don't say it is because of the scoring is unfair.

I think you've misunderstood. I'm just in it for the fun of it and couldn't care less how its scored. I'm just saying by happenstance I've been in 11th place the whole time and was trying to be funny...

WEEK 3 RESULTS
WBI-461(3-0) 123.77 Koko's X-Cats(2-1) 113.02
WBI-461 used a 29.27 to 3.73 advantage in the reciving game to race past the X-Cats in a battle of the unbeatens. WBI-461 got 35.43 points from Kerry Collins, 17 points from both ZAch Thomas and the NEw Orleans Saints defense and 13.47 points from Duece McAllister. The X-Cats got 34.43 points from Marc Bulger, 20.53 points from Julius Jones, 15.33 points from Willis McGahee, 15 points from Dwight Freeney and 13 points from Paul Edinger.

Jc's Evil Empire(3-0)152.79 sigmakittens(0-3) 99.50
The only chace the kitties have is massive games from Holmes and Green because they will be hard pressed to match the Evil Empire's firepower even if Big Ben doesn't make thing happen against New England.
LaDanian Thomlinson outscored the Kansas City studs 42.03 to 32.57. Not a good sigh for the kitties. Big Ben put up 26.03 points Westbrook put up 28.87 and Terrell Owens contributed 15.53 points. Josh Brown put in 15.50 points, Rod Smith added 14.83 points, and Troy Williamson added 13.03 points. Obviously it wasn't enough.

Nor Cal Crushers(2-1)161.76 Tomahawks(1-2)105.67
Is this the week Peyton Manning makes things happen for the Tomahawks?
Guess not. Jake Plummer 24.17 Manning 14.90.
The Colts are having a great season but Manning has been the biggest Fantasy Football dud so far this season.
They'd better hope so because their running backs Tatum Bell and Brandon Jacobs cannot match Lamont Jordan and Shaun Alexander.
I got this one dead on. Jordan and Alexander 46.63 Bell and Jacobs 3.30.
The Crushers got 33.70 points from Steve Smith, 14.50 points from Donnie Edwards, 11.50 points from the Dallas Cowboys defense and 10 points from Nate Kaeding. They didn't need Ray Lewis help this week.
The Tomahawks got 19 points from the Indianapolis Colts defense, 15.13 points from Antonio Gates, and 14.67 points from Jason Witten.

Cromer Angry Smash!(3-0)112.13 Cooney Quest(1-1)105.14
It was a close cal but the Smash escaped the relentless Quest but won out basically due to Brett Farve far outperforming Kurt Warner 20.97 to 8.37. It's really as simple as that.
The Smash got 18 points from the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, 16.13 points from Edggerin James and 12.53 points from Robert Ferguson.
The Quest got 19.33 points from Keenan McCardell, 17.30 points from Ronnie Brown and 14 points from the New England Patritos defense.

Beckham Pwns All(2-1)120.07 Dogs in the Bathtub(0-3) 72.17
Beckham Pwns All has a bigtimne advantage with Micehal Vick hurting on the road against a very nasty (and angry) Bills defense and not much at running back for the Dogs. If Drew Brees makes plays they should win easily.
Well Mciehal Vick did his part matching Drew Brees nearly point for point but absolutely no one else stepped up for the Dogs and they fell easily.
Beckham got 16.50 from the Miami Dolphins defense, 13.17 from David Givens and 11.20 from Micheal Jenkins.

Stevies Scapegoats(2-1)124.03 Tolman(1-2) 109.79
Tolman is sleeping at the wheel going with a bye saddled Clinton Portis leaving only backup Travis FIsher to take on the Scapegoat's Kyle Johnson and Warrick Dunn. Unless Matt Hasselback can pound Jake Delhomme things look pretty grim for them.
Well Tolman wasn't so badly hurt by the Scapgoats backs as they managed only 7.63 points. BUt Delhomme smackdowned Hasselbeck 34.00 to 18.07.
The SCapegoats got 18.57 points from Chad Johnson, 14.00 from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense and 13.50 from Adam Vinateri .
Tolman got 15.43 points from Keyshawn Johnson, 15 points from the Cincinatti Bengals defense, 12.33 points from Darrell Jackson, and 12 points from Rain Lindell.

Mechanicatz(2-1)156.46 Pelan's Bobcats(1-2) 98.14
Not sure if the Mechinacatz's Drew Bledsoe can dominate former understudy Tom Brady but the Steelrs D may.
Bledsoe is still hot putting up 50.43 while Brady got a solid 35.90
What really could do the Bobcats in is Roy Williams and MAtt Stover on a bye, an absent Peppi Zellner on defense, a who's tha? for Fabian Washington and the blank spot on the defense. Making it way to easy for the Mechinacatz.
And that is exactly what killed the Bobcats or at least it didn't help them at all.
The Mechanicatz got 21.37 points from Torry Holt, 21.33 points from Hienz Ward, 16.00 points from the Atlanta Falcons defense, 11.03 points from Carnell Williams and 10 points from Mike Brown.
The Bobcats got 18.60 points from Corey Dillon, 16.00 points from the Seattle Seahawks defense and 15.20 points from Chris Chambers. But unfortunately they only got 12.44 points from 8 other positions on their roster.

Fiesty Clowns(0-2)119.60 wst Coast Style(0-2)87.37
The Culpepper/McNabb scrap was as usual a classic with McNabb comming out on top 47.70 to 40.83 but outside of the Minnesota Vikings defense scoring 16 points for wst Coast Style no one else made it into double digits while the New York Jets defense scored 16.50 points, Eddie Kennison scored 11.47 points and Terrence Kiel scored 11 points.

WEEK 4 SCEDULE
Koko's X-Cats(2-1) vs. Fiesty Clowns(2-2)
It's now obvious to the Clowns that Daunte Culpepper misses Randy Moss alot and with the X-Cats having Marc Bulger the Clowns really need him to suceed as the X-Cats have a tough pair of running backs while their backs are facing tough defenses.

Jc's Evil Empire(3-0)vs. Cromer Angry Smash!(3-0)
An early season brawl for first place! The Evil Empire has Thomlinson and Westbrook but the Smash's Stephen Davis and Edgerrin James aren't far behind in production. The Evil Empire for some reason decided to go with Tim Rattay and if Brett Farve can be productive may open a window of opportunity for the Smash.

Nor Cal Crushers(2-1) vs. sigmakittens(0-3)
The Nor Cal Crushers are so confident that they will easily defeat the kitties they even left a roster spot open. The kitties would be in better shape if Priest Holmes was more productive. As it is there is no way he can outdo Shaun ALexnader and Lamont Jordan.

Tomahawks(1-2) vs.wst Coast Style(0-3)
wst Coast Style coninues the same sins they made last week. This time having three blank bye produced roster spots making things easy for the Tomahawks unless Donovan McNabb play out of his mind again while the TOmahawks continue to wait for Peyton Manning to wake up.

Dogs in the Bathtub(0-3) vs. Cooney Quest(1-2)
Now it is the Quest's turn to hamstring themselves. Kurt Warner is out but is starting for the Quest and they are missing a running back even though ahman Green is far better than the DOgs JJ Arrington and Kevan Barlow.

Beckham Pwns All(2-1)vs. Stevies Scapegoats(2-1)
Beckham goes without the Dolphins defense and a starter on defense.THey need big games from Brees. Barber and Chris Brown to off set the loss of those points.Delhomme could be huge for the SCapegoats on Monday night.

Tolman(1-2)vs. Mechanicatz(2-1)
Tolman also sticks to his bad habits and sports two blanks on defense and thus need Matt Hasselback (on the road no less) and Clinton Portis to produce. Cadillac Williams could prove deadly to Tolman on Sunday running alll over the Lions.

Pelan's Bobcats(1-2) vs. WBI-461(3-0)Like so many before him Pelan has left two spots blank and needs Tom Brady, Rudi Johnson and COrey Dillon to take up the slack for them.WIth McALlister, Steve Jackson and Kerry Collings on the otehr side so it may not matter what they do on the weekend.

WEEK 4 SCEDULE
wst Coast Style(1-2)vs. Koko's X-Cats(1-2)
wst Coast Style's bad habits from the plus league extend to here as they once again have ignored the roster and left the bye saddled players on and a guy on IR (Eddie has been going after the wrong guys. This dude needs to be woke up. It's getting rediculous!). If Collins, McGahee and Jordon play well it's over early and the X-Cats win going away.

Rhode Island Voltaic(3-0)vs. Stevies Scapegoats(1-2)
The Voltaic have been waiting for Peyton Manning to get his act together but have been doing fine without him as his defense has been carrying the load. There's no reason why that should change but Manning could break out this week as well. The Scapegoats are hoping for big things from Culpepper as his roster of no names may not be up to this task.

Nor Cal Crushers(2-1)vs. The Tacoites(1-2)
While Jake Plummer on the road is a nerve wracking proposition the Crushers really shouldn't worry with Carnell Williams and Brian Westbrook running the ball for them. The Tacoites lack a spot due to a bye and Kevan Barlow is a big dropoff to the Crusher's backs.

Dunedain(0-3)vs. QC Elite(0-3)
Usually going with three backs make you a team to be reckoned with but not when you are the QC Elite and your backs are the underperforming CHris Brown, the forgotten Tatum Bell and the dissapointing Micheal Bennet. Dunedain's backs Tiki Barber and Ahman Green are definately a better answer.

FirstFORCE(3-0) vs.Pelan's Bobcats(1-2)
I would complain about the Bobcats using a player on a bye but Duce Staley has yet to play at all this year!Too bad really because there are some great perfomrers on their roster like Antonio Gates and SHaun ALexander but they can't be expected to outduel FirstFORCE's Duece McAlister (who will feast on the demorlized Bills defense) and Rudi Johnson. Not to mention the Bobcat's defense has a playe rnot playing and one on IR.

Team THRUST(2-1)vs. hurricnaes(1-2)
The Canes have a great player in Donovan McNabb but with two players on a bye and not much else playing they are practially doomed. Eli Manning could do some significant damage today agianst the soft Rams defense for Team THRUST as could Stephen Davis on Monday night.

Cooney Quest(2-1)vs. sigmakittens(1-2)
Now that the kitteis have broke through they are in postion to take another one if Jake Delhomme and Priest Holmes play like they are supposed to. TJ Duckett will not get many touches and Brett Farve is not what he used to be so the Quest could be in trouble. They certainly didn't need any gimmies on the roster due to a bye.

I Will Crush You(2-1)vs. Fiesty Clowns(1-2)
It's looking like liast week's drama has left a bitter taste in I Will Crush You's mouth as he has left the roster with a blank spot and a bye addled kicker. Usually the recipe for a loss. Carson Palmer and Edgerrin James could seal the deal for the Clowns.

Jc's Evil Empire(1-2) vs. Your Ad Here(3-0)
The second half of the drama is hoping to leave it all behind and hopes that Drew Bledsoe can continue his high level of play and Mike Martz absence from the sideline will mean the Rams will actually use Steve Jackson for once. Not sure how much Mewelde Moore can give to Your Ad Here's cause but I know what Julius Jones and Steve McNair are capable of.

Akshar Did It(3-0)vs. Coco's Monkeys(1-2)
WHomever gets more out of thier quarterback (and are not HURT by their performance) is most likely to win. Mark Brunell doesn't make mistakes , he just doesn't make plays niether. Joey HArrington is surrounded by talent but not only is he not making plays but he's making hgue mistakes and here comes the BUccaneers. The best thing going for the Monkeys is Corey Dillon as Akshar has running backs who hardly inspire fear but a blank spot on the D could be a severe blow this week.

Week IV Postgame Analysis

Is it sad that most of Dante Hall’s 22 points were yardage?

Rhode Island Voltaic (3-0) d. Stevies Scapegoats (1-2)
91-58
Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, welcome to scoreboard! Rhode Island was looking for them all year, and they put up 20 and 8, respectively. Dunn also added 12. The Scapegoats had Joey Galloway score 14, Kaeding with 11, and a defensive effort of 22. The rest of their offense kinda stunk though. The Voltaic didn’t need Dante Hall to bail them out this week, but dang if that 22 isn’t pretty, helping put them in first.

Koko's X-Cats (1-2) d. west coast style (1-2)
69-65
In this match, you either scored big, or you didn’t at all. WCS had Harrison and Owens combine for 32, and a 13 from Donnie Edwards. The X-Cats RBs totaled 23, Burress topped the game with 22, and Philadelphia had 12. It’s the little things though that made this matchup. Note the 0 and two 1s from what was left of WCS’s offense. The X-Cats find themselves in another tough match; this time they manage to win.

Nor Cal Crushers (2-1) d. The Tacoites (1-2)
60-25
Well this was lopsided… Tomlinson again scored big with 19. And once again, Plummer and McGee break into double digits for Nor Cal. It doesn’t look like the appropriately named Crushers needed much else. Considering the top score for the Tacoites was a 7, this was over quickly.

Dunedain (0-3) d. QC Elite (0-3)
76-39
Somebody had to win this one (well, I guess barring a tie). Smart money would’ve been on Dunedain, since they had lost two very close matches. And that bet would’ve paid off. Going down their list: Brees, Barber, and Jimmy Smith all put up 12, Kansas City and Anquan Boldin both put up 11. The Elite had a nice defensive score of 22, and Brooks got them 9. Unfortunately, they didn’t get much else. Dunedain keeps getting better every week, putting their first W on their record.

FIRSTforce (3-0) d. Pelan's Bobcats (1-2)
55-34
I’ll go out on a limb and say this wasn’t the best week for either team. For the Bobcats, It was poor offense (not including Alexander’s 10) and a defense with no players playing. For the Force, it was nothing better than semi-decent (other than Rackers’s 19 from the K spot). Of course, semi decent + 19 will beat lack of defense + poor offense + 10 any day, keeping FIRSTforce in the undefeated group.

Team THRUST (2-1) d. hurricanes (1-2)
77-30
Yay, Donovan McNabb scoring 20! At least it would be a yay for the Canes if you couldn’t count the rest of their score on your fingers. Yay, Eli Manning scoring 20! And for Team Thrust, it was a yay. They also had a defensive 25, a Torry Holt 10, and a Stephen Davis 15 on their side of the scoreboard. Seeing as we’re all FIRSTers and therefore good at math, you can, well, do the math.

sigmakittens (1-2) d. Cooney Quest (2-1)
45-37
I’d say this is another breakdown of Cooney’s prized offense, but that’s not entirely true. Brett Favre went to town on Sunday, scoring 24, and even Duckett put up 8. But this time, I can count the rest of the Quest’s score on one hand (ironically, they also had five donuts). “Now that the kitties have broke through they are in position to take another one if Jake Delhomme and Priest Holmes play like they are supposed to.” Yeah. But they only combined for 19. The rest of the offense at least added points though, and their defense, while not awe-inspiring, managed to add 15. Both teams now stand at 2-2.

Feisty Klowns (1-2) d. IwillCrushYou (2-1)
61-47
IWCY just had a week where his roster couldn’t mesh with the byes. Despite that, they still managed to make a fight out of this, getting 8 from Hasselbeck, 24 from the receivers, and 10 from San Diego. But those three blank spots couldn’t hold up to the Klowns dual 10s from James and Driver, a Cincinnati 12, and Janikowski’s 13. Another match where both teams move to 2-2.

Your Ad Here (3-0) d. Jc's Evil Empire (1-2)
56-40
YAH is practically looking for someone to knock them off the undefeated ranks. It didn’t happen here. Arizona’s 18 in Mexico was probably their saving grace, as their only other good score was a 10 from the K spot. The Empire’s saving grace from last week, Bledsoe, was quiet. Their best score came from Steven Jackson and his 11. While both teams each had a single zero, YAH’s average score was about a point better than the Empire’s, keeping YAH, as previously mentioned, undefeated.

Coco's Monkeys (1-2) d. Akshar Did It (3-0)
50-24
I get to say it for the second week in a row: ew. ADI got off to a decent start with Mark Brunell’s 9. Then it all went downhill, with nobody else scoring better than 5 (and the New England DEF getting PWNed and putting up -5 didn’t help). For the Monkeys, Corey Dillon again came through with 10. He would be supported by Carney’s 10 and Baltimore's 11. This is another one of those “do the math” situations.

The fantasy scores seem to be clumping together better than they were earlier (okay, not Cory's :p). I guess I'll finish by pointing out that the any of the Voltaic, Crushers, and X-Cats could've easily been 2-2, 3-1, and 4-0 in any order had the first three weeks been even slightly different.

WEEK 4 RESULTS
[ COLOR=Navy]Fiesty Clowns(2-2) 122.66Koko's X-Cats(2-2)121.03
The X-Cats raced out to a large early lead and looked like they were going to cruise to an easy victory then Donald Driver and Nick Barnett combined for 26.63 points and snatched victory for the Clowns from the frustrated X-Cats. Marc Bulger led the X-Cats scoring with 51.90 points, the Philadelphia Eagles defense scored 20 points and Willis McGahee added 13.73 points. THe FIesty Clowns got 21.50 points from Daun te Culpepper and 19.30 points from Eddie Kennison.

Cromer Angry Smash!(4-0)150.77Jc's Evil Empire(3-1) 99.86
In the end it wasn't even close. Brett Farve's huge Monday night made it a rout due to TIm Rattay's crappy performancce which is getting him benched. Farve crushed Rattay 49.90-6.63. Stephen Davis scored 17.30, Larry Fitzgerald added 16.30 points, Edgerrin James scored 13.80 points, the Jacksonville Jaguars defense scored 12 points and Jeremy Shockey added 11.80 points for the Smash. LaDanian Thomlinson scored 24.70 points and Terell Owens scored 23.90 points.

Nor Cal Crushers(3-1) 116.73sigmakittens(0-4) 79.59

The Nor Cal Crushers are so confident that they will easily defeat the kitties they even left a roster spot open. The kitties would be in better shape if Priest Holmes was more productive. As it is there is no way he can outdo Shaun ALexnader and Lamont Jordan.

And it turns out they didn't need the extra points and Holmes was no match for ALexnader and Jordan as they outscored him 31.17 to 15.96. Carson Palmer added 27.63 for the Crushers as well as Donnie Edwards 12.50, Nate Kaeding's 12 points, Ray Lewis 11.00 and the Dallas Cowboy's defense added 10 points. Byron Leftwich scored 19.20 points for the kitties and Jonathan Vilma scored 13.50

Tomahawks(1-2) 137.21wst Coast Style(0-3)105.33
Donovan McNabb was his usual explosive self for wst Coast Style scoring an impessive 56.73 points. More than half their points. Outisde of Donte' Stallworth's 12.60 points and John Carney's 11 points. Peyton Manning finally showed up with a hearty 43 points. Plexico Burress scored an awesome 46.60 points. The Indinaapolis Colts scored 12 points and Antonio Gated added 10.20 points.

Dogs in the Bathtub(1-3)97.17 Cooney Quest(1-2)62.20
The Quest fell hard to the Dogs with Joey Harringotn leading the way with an all right 12.87 points followed by Patrick Crayton's 10.70 points and Brandon Lloyd's 10.30 points. THe Dogs were led by Neil Rackers 23 points, Michael Vick added 14.50 points, T.J. Houshmandzadeh put in 11.33 points and Mike Vrabel added 10.5 points.

Stevies Scapegoats(3-1)130.82Beckham Pwns All(2-2) 88.70

Beckham goes without the Dolphins defense and a starter on defense.THey need big games from Brees. Barber and Chris Brown to off set the loss of those points.Delhomme could be huge for the SCapegoats on Monday night.

Going with the bench bound JP Losman over Drew Brees was not very bright. The only starter in double digits for Beckham was Shayne Graham. MEanwhile Jake Delhomme slammed in 26.17 points while Marvin Harrison scored 23.77 points Warrick Dunn contributed 15.37 points , L.J. Smith scored 14.97 points, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense scored 11 points and Reggie Wayne scored 10.20 points.

Mechanicatz(3-1)124.84Tolman(1-3)100.41

Tolman also sticks to his bad habits and sports two blanks on defense and thus need Matt Hasselback (on the road no less) and Clinton Portis to produce. Cadillac Williams could prove deadly to Tolman on Sunday running alll over the Lions.

Well Matt HAsselback did his part and produced a solid 28.13 points but Clinton Portis only scored 9.20 points. It came down to those two blank spots allowing the Mechanicatz D to run circles around Tolman's D 59.5 to 32.5. Drew Bledsoe scored 17.03 points for the Mechanicatz, Torry Holt scored 15.10 points and Randy Moss scored 10.20 points.

WBI-461(4-0)128.52Pelan's Bobcats(1-3) 67.73

Like so many before him Pelan has left two spots blank and needs Tom Brady, Rudi Johnson and COrey Dillon to take up the slack for them.WIth McALlister, Steve Jackson and Kerry Collings on the other side so it may not matter what they do on the weekend.

Brady, Johnson and Dillon combined for 39.33 points. More than half their paltry sum. The defnesive weakness did them in scoring 11.50 points total while WBI-461 got 47 points on defense. WBI-161 also got 17.43 points from Steven Jackson, 17 points from Jay Feely , 13.70 points from Kerry Collins, and 10.73 points from Deuce McAllister .

WEEK 4 SCHEDULE
Koko's X-Cats(2-2) vs. wst Coast Style(0-4)
It's business as usual for wst Coast Style. Two blank spots on the roster thanks to a bye. Outside of Donovan McNabb the roster doesn't really scare anybody and the X-Cats Marc Bulger gets his favorite victim the Seahawks in the dome so he may outperform McNabb.

Jc's Evil Empire(3-1) vs. Dogs in the Bathtub(1-3)
While the Evil Empire look to rebound from their crushing defeat last week the Dogs are looking to roll over by leaving roster spots blank giving the Evil Empire more help then they probably need.

Nor Cal Crushers(3-1) vs. Cromer Angry Smash!(4-0)
The league leading Smash are facing anotehr tough match agianst the Crushers who are very tough with Carson Palmer and Shaun Alexnader who the Smash are hoping the Seahawks fall way behind the Rams and play catch up all day. the Smash's Farve is running out of recievers but he gets a soft defense to throw on and his two backs Edgerrin James and Stephen Davis could have big days.

Tomahawks(2-2) vs. sigmakittens(0-4)
The Tomahawks could just beat the kitties to death with Peyton Manning who gets to use a Niners D that made Josh McCown look like well, Peyton Manning. He could end up outscoring the kitties himself.

Cooney Quest(1-3) vs. Stevies Scapegoats(3-1)
Delhomme and MArvin Harrison get to feast on weak sisters and could put up big time points for the Scapegoats but the fly in the ointment could be the Quest's Ronnie Brown who is playing the leagues worst rush defense in Buffalo and could be in line for a big day. If anyone else steps up an upset could be in the making.

Beckham Pwns All(2-2) vs. Mechanicatz(3-1)
Both teams are missing significant contributors on their rosters due to a bye, Randy Moss for the MEchanicatz and Tiki Barber for Beckham. I think Barber will be missed more. Beckham might also be going without a quarterback with JP Losman being shown the bench. If Bledsoe doesn't spend all day on his back and makes some plays it could be pretty easy for the Mechanicatz.

Tolman(1-3) vs. Pelan's Bobcats(1-3)
The resurgent clowns are going to have to fight for their right to party with Anthony Wright as their quarterback and the innefective JJ Arrington and the as so far invisible Kevin Jones as their starting backs. The Bobcats have a suddenly desperate Tom Brady for their quarterback and a good backfield of Corey Dillon and RUdi Johnson but they'll have to work agianst tough defenses on the road and they have to make up for Pelan's negligance and cover for the undermanned D. That may be too much to ask.

WBI-461(4-0) vs. [ COLOR=Navy]Fiesty Clowns(2-2)
While Tolman could be looking at a significant advantage in the quarterback matchup particularly if the Seahawks fall behind and MAtt Hasselback has to throw all day and David Carr spends all day running for his life instead of making plays. WBI-161 has better backs with Duece McALlister and Steven Jackson over Packers backup Travis Fisher and CLinton Portis who could find it tough sledding in Denver.

WEEK 5 SCEDULE
Koko's X-Cats (2-2) vs. The Tacoites (1-3)
The X-Cats roster has been ravaged by byes but they spots have been filled in while the Tacoites are missing Shockey and have non-perfomers on defense thus missing a tremendous opportunity to gain an easy victory.

Rhode IslandVoltaic (4-0) vs. QC Elite (0-4)
Peyton Manning could outscore the Elite all by himself this week. It prebably doesn't even matter that the GInats D is on a bye this week. IT wouldn't save them anyways.

Nor Cal Crushers (3-1) vs. Stevies Scapegoats (1-3)
LaDaninin Thomlinson probably won't run wild for the Crushers this week on the Steelers but he is big time all the same and interestingly the Scapegoats have his opposite Fast Willie Parker on their side and he could end up having the bigger night but the Scapegoats have no answer for Brian Westbrook.

Dunedain (1-3) vs. Pelan's Bobcats (1-3)
The Bobcats are dead because they have no quarterback this week because he's on a bye and Drew Brees can dictate his score. True they have Shaun Alexander but if his team does what they usually do in St. Louis and falls behind his effectiveness will be limited.

FIRSTforce (4-0) vs. hurricanes (1-3)
The Canes have the best player in football on their roster, Donovan McNAbb but they are 1-3 because their running back is JJ Arrington while First FORCE has Rudi Johnson and DUece McAllister and Brian Griese is adequete enough to keep McNabb in check.

Team THRUST (3-1) vs. sigmakittens (2-2)
Marc Bulger and Jake Delhomme could put up big points for their respective teams but Team THRUST has Stephen Davis while the kitties have his backup DeShaun Foster. That is a prety significant disadvantage.

Cooney Quest (2-2)vs. Feisty Klowns (2-2)
The Klowns have Carson Palmer and Edgerrin James on their side and if they can get anything out of Kevin Jones things are looking pretty good for them because the QUest have to depend on Brett Farve who has been up and down and TJ Duckett is a backup.

IwillCrushYou (2-2) vs. Jc's Evil Empire (1-3)
I guess you can lable this one the Malcontent Bowl as the two biggest critics of the league commish go head to head. The Evil Empire could have big points from Ronnie Brown running on the suddenly ineffective Bills run D. I Will Crush You could get nice points from Matt HAsselback who could be playing catch up all day. Maybe the winner will be a little less "agitated" and the loser might just end up shutting things down.

Your Ad Here (4-0) vs. Akshar Did It (3-1)
Your Ad Here is in better shape to get production from Julius Jones than Maurice Hicks and kick returner Darren Sproles and Steve McNair could make more things for Your Ad Here instead of Ben Roethlisberger for Akshar Did It against the Chargers on Monday night.

Coco's Monkeys (2-2) vs. west coast style (1-3)
west Coast Style might settle this with their recievers Terrell Ownes and Marvin Harrison unless Corey Dillon awakens from his slumber against Atlanta. Whichever quarterback can step his game up for each team will probably win.

Week V Postgame Analysis

Yay, Bus! Boo, everything else on my team! Though I would’ve won had I switched out one of my defenders…

QC Elite (0-4) d. Rhode Island Voltaic (4-0)
52-46
Yep, you did indeed read that right. The last place team did in fact beat the first place team. “Peyton Manning could outscore the Elite all by himself this week.” And so begins Rhode Island’s problems; that didn’t even nearly happen. The star QB only put up 4. It wouldn’t get any better. The only good thing coming out this for the Voltaic is that the Bus will provide a nice second RB for them in the coming weeks (he scored 8 on Monday). To the opponent’s credit, while RI really fell apart this week, the Elite brought their A-game. Their QB was even worse, but Tatum Bell, Sheldon Brown, and Josh Brown easily compensated, going for 18, 17, and 13, respectively. That was almost all of their scoring, but it was enough. I believe this qualifies as an upset.

The Tacoites (1-3) d. Koko's X-Cats (2-2)
65-36
“The X-Cats roster has been ravaged by byes but their spots have been filled in…” Which means we already know that the X-Cats aren’t at full strength. Their score only helped prove that, with Scobee’s 16 and McGahee’s 10 their only relatively decent performances. And this was a week in which Brady actually scored for the Tacoites, giving 15. Their entire defense was an impressive 23 from Indianapolis, and the WRs combined for 16, giving the Tacoites a convincing win.

Nor Cal Crushers (3-1) d. Stevies Scapegoats (1-3)
69-58
This game was probably closer that it should’ve been. What’s the theme for the Scapegoats this week? Their scoring was provided by people who I’ve never heard of. Who the heck is Matt Schaub? Apparently, he’s Mike Vick’s replacement, and he scored 20. I could say the same thing about Cato June’s 18, or Nate Kaeding’s 10. But if you’re a Nor Cal fan (I know I am), it didn’t matter. The appropriately-named Crushers played as they usually do. Thomlinson and Smith again led their charge, combining for 29. They also busted out their defense, combining in that field for 30. Despite having yet another negative score from the K spot, the rest of Nor Cal’s offense scored enough to win their forth straight.

Dunedain (1-3) d. Pelan's Bobcats (1-3)
58-56
Looking at the Bobcat’s roster, you’ll easily notice one thing: no QB. Trent Green had the week off. True, they had Shaun Alexander and his 17, plus a defensive 23. But that one bye positively ended them going against Dunedain’s offense. That’s 11 from Boldin, 10 from Cooley, and 12 from Bryant. They also had a QB playing, gathering up 6 well-needed points. A lucky break for Dunedain, who actually have a winning streak now :p.

FIRSTforce (4-0) d. hurricanes (1-3)
46-37
It was time for a different force to take the field this week: FIRSTforce’s defense. 29 points came out of that. Plus a Rackers 8, they really didn’t need offense against the struggling Canes. The Cane’s best scores came from the K spot (Lindell with 8), and triple 6s (one short of a jackpot ;)) in the defensive slots. But again, they didn’t have any offense. FIRSTforce is able to notch their fifth straight because of that.

Team THRUST (3-1) d. sigmakittens (2-2)
65-63
“Marc Bulger [THRUST] and Jake Delhomme [kitties] could put up big points for their respective teams, but Team THRUST has Stephen Davis while the kitties have his backup DeShaun Foster. That is a pretty significant disadvantage.” Holy psychic points, Ed! You called it perfectly. In what was IMO the game of the week, Bulger and Delhomme indeed scored well (11 and 10, respectively). They both had extremely good support. The Sigmakittens had Martin, Glenn, and Bironas, while THRUST had Holt, Vilma, and the Cleveland DEF. The difference: THRUST had Steven Davis score 8. The kitties had his backup DeShaun Foster score 1. It was the advantage Team THRUST needed to win.

Cooney Quest (2-2) d. Feisty Klowns (2-2)
68-60
Behold the Green Bay dependency! The Quest became practically reliant on the Packers this week, and they didn’t disappoint. Favre had 15, Davenport scored 14, and Longwell tallied 10. The 14 from Buffalo only helped. On the Klowns side of the scoreboard, they had big days from Barnett, Jones, and James (16, 14, 10). But the lack of a middle offense put this one firmly in Cooney’s bag.

Jc's Evil Empire (1-3) d. IwillCrushYou (2-2)
71-63
This was yet another excellent game. Bledsoe, in his hit-or-miss season, scored a hit and 16 points for the Empire. Troy Vincent and Steven Jackson both added 12. The support they got from their two receivers (19 points combined) only helped. Meanwhile, IWCY countered with Matt Hasselbeck putting up 13, Larry Fitzgerald scoring 12, and Robert Ferguson’s 10. Their support was a defensive 21. Unfortunately, you can see that as the game goes on, IWCY’s scores get progressively lower, until they just can’t keep up. Both teams now stand at 2-3.

Your Ad Here (4-0) d. Akshar Did It (3-1)
51-43
This was not a good week for ADI, period. Yeah, Roethlisberger (not the spellchecker’s best friend, BTW) put up 10. But he went down toward the end of his game. And Sproles and Houshmandzadeh (hello, spellchecker crash) were already hurt. This made it so that YAH (too…many… acronyms!) had to try to lose. And as much as they tried, they just couldn’t. Steve McNair’s 17 was their high score, with their next best coming form Kyle Vanden Bosch (spellchecker explodes) scoring 9. Both teams’ average score was in the toilet, but YAH had more high scores than ADI, keeping them undefeated. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need a new computer :D.

west coast style (1-3) d. Coco's Monkeys (2-2)
60-31
This was not exactly the game the Monkeys were hoping for. They had almost no defensive scoring, and overall had two -1s, a bye, and nothing breaking double digits on their scorecard. WCS was prepared to take advantage of this with dual 10s from Leftwich and Bennett and a 13 from Donnie Edwards. That, and actual defensive scoring put this game out of reach for the Monkeys.

In a rather bizarre week of upsets, teams with an edge not holding it, fantasy studs performing like waterboys (Manning, I'm looking at you), injuries, and a couple bye-ravaged teams, the scoreboard is a mess. What I'm looking at is the fact that all the 4-1 teams and two of the 2-3 teams have higher fantasy scores than both of the undefeated teams. Also, 6 of the 2-3 teams have better scores than both the 3-2 teams. Really exciting analysis for the playoffs... if the playoffs were even remotely close. Right now, it ain't pretty, and it will probably stay that way looking at next week's schedule (though in two weeks, it should become less of a mess). Will the undefeated teams hold on despite low fantasy scores? See you next week.

WEEK 5 RESULTS
Koko's X-Cats(3-2) 94.10 wst Coast Style(0-5)59.87
Marc Bulger gets his favorite victim the Seahawks in the dome so he may outperform McNabb.
It wasn't as much that Bulger outpreformed McNabb as McNabb played his worst game of the year. And if Donovan falls flat there was Kieth Bullcok with his 17 points and Chris Cooley's 15.47 points there was no one. It wasn't like the X-Cats dominated. Outside of Bulger's 34.20, Willis McGahee's 13.07 and Kevin Curtis' 12.70 they really weren't setting the house on fire neither.

Jc's Evil Empire(4-1) 105.56 Dogs in the Bathtub(1-4) 52.13
While the Evil Empire look to rebound from their crushing defeat last week the Dogs are looking to roll over by leaving roster spots blank giving the Evil Empire more help then they probably need.ANd the dogs did just that. Inexplicably starting 4 players who never saw the field and put up zeroes. Jeremy Stevens who had 11.83 points and Kevan Barlow who scored 10.03 points we're all that the DOgs had. The Evil Empire got 28 points (and a clean bill of health, mostly) from Ben Roethlisberger, 18.17 from LaDainian Thomlinson, 15 points from the Buffalo Bills defense and 11.13 points from Deion Branch leading to a very easy victory.

Cromer Angry Smash!(5-0) 143.04Nor Cal Crushers(3-2) 137.29
The Smash are the leagues only undefeated team and had to sweat this one out. A pair of blank spots Joe Horn and Tyrone Calico lead to a 45.40 to 31.93 scoring advantage for the recivers thus dashing their hopes for victory. THe Smash were led by Brett Farve's 35.7 points, Edgerrin James 16.80 points and the Jacksonville Jaguars defense with 10 points. Carson Palmer put 30.03 points on the board for the Crushers to go with Shaun ALexander's 22.50 points, Donnie Edwards 14 points and Nate Keading's 12 points.

Tomahawks(3-2) 144.54 sigmakittens(0-5) 105.40
The Tomahawks could just beat the kitties to death with Peyton Manning who gets to use a Niners D that made Josh McCown look like well, Peyton Manning. He could end up outscoring the kitties himself.
Byron Leftwich held his own and outscore Manning 22.37 to 22. The unexpect 37 point explosion from the Indinapolis Colts defense made it not even close. THe Tomawks got 12.57 points from Antonio Gates and 12.17 from Patrick Pass. The kitteis got 14.50 points from Josh Brown, 14 points from Jonathan Vilma, 13.43 points from Eric Moulds, 11.37 from Brian Finneran and 11 points from the Carolina Panthers defense.

Stevies Scapegoats(4-1) 103.74 Cooney Quest(1-4) 76.37
[i]Delhomme and MArvin Harrison get to feast on weak sisters and could put up big time points for the Scapegoats but the fly in the ointment could be the Quest's Ronnie Brown who is playing the leagues worst rush defense in Buffalo and could be in line for a big day. If anyone else steps up an upset could be in the making.[i]
Jake Delhomme dominated his matchup with Joey Harrington 27.03 to 11.37 but Marvin Harrison was MI. Cato June scored 15 points, Chad Johnson with 11.97 points and 11 points from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense for the Scapegoats. The New England Patriots we're the only beacon of light for the quest scoring

Beckham Pwns All(3-2) 98.00 Mechanicatz(3-2)83.10
Both teams are missing significant contributors on their rosters due to a bye, Randy Moss for the MEchanicatz and Tiki Barber for Beckham. I think Barber will be missed more. Beckham might also be going without a quarterback with JP Losman being shown the bench. If Bledsoe doesn't spend all day on his back and makes some plays it could be pretty easy for the Mechanicatz.
Drew Bldesoe nearly scored half of the Mechnicatz points. That's not a good thing. Outside of Torry Holt putting up 18.40 points there was not much of anything out of the Mechanicatz roster. Drew Brees only managed 22.50 points he didn't have to. DOmanick Davis scored 15.53 points,Kyle Vanden Bosch 10.60 points from Todd Heap and 10.50 points from Kyle Vanden Bosch.

[ COLOR=Navy]Fiesty Clowns(3-2) 128.20 Pelan's Bobcats(1-4) 126.61
The Clowns are on a roll. Anthony Wright managed 26.87 points last weekend. Not as spectacular and the Bobcat's Tom Bardy who put up a jaw dropping 48.73 points! So what kill's the Bobcats? Well having just 16.43 points from Daniel Grahm and 14 points from the Seattle Seahawks defense is just not going to cut it. The Clowns got 19.63 points from Joe Jurevicius, 15.87 points from Kevin Jones, 15.50 points from Nick Barnett and 15 points from the New York Jets defense .

Tolman(2-3) 125.90 WBI-461(4-1) 122.05
While Tolman could be looking at a significant advantage in the quarterback matchup particularly if the Seahawks fall behind and MAtt Hasselback has to throw all day and David Carr spends all day running for his life instead of making plays. WBI-161 has better backs with Duece McALlister and Steven Jackson over Packers backup Travis Fisher and CLinton Portis who could find it tough sledding in Denver.
WBI-461 falls from the ranks of the unbeaten. Basically the New Orleans Saints ended up costing them putting up -4 points while Tolman's Cincinatti Bengals defense put up a midest but just what the doctor ordered. Anquan Boldin led WBI-461 with 22 points 21.97 from David Carr , 20.53 points from Antonio Bryant , Steven Jackson's 18.27 points and 13 points from Zach Thomas. The Bobcats got 36.30 points from Matt Hasselback, 23.37 points from Terry Glen, 15.60 points from Alge Crumpler , 13 points from Jason Taylor and 10.61 for Clinton Portis.

WEEK 6 SCEDULE
Koko's X-Cats(3-2) Pelan's Bobcats(1-4)
Nopt only are the Bobcats going with no names on defense thus conceding those points to the X-Cats but they are hurting alot on their roster and that means thie players could or could not play and they need their backs COrey Dillon and Rudi Johnson to produce in order to win.

Jc's Evil Empire(4-1) Stevies Scapegoats(4-1)
The Evil Empire has to go with relic Vinny Testeverde while the Scapregoats have Jake Delhomme and in this league your quarterback is your biggest point producer. Therefore the Evil Empire needs Thomlinson and Taylor to take up the slack.

Nor Cal Crushers(3-2) Dogs in the Bathtub(1-4)
Til the Dogs start taking thier job seriously and start maintaining their roster there is no reason to thik they'll be anything more than a virtual bye in this league. The Crushers win going away.

Tomahawks(3-2) Cromer Angry Smash!(5-0)
The only undefeated team in the league faces a very tough task as is the case whenever your opponent has Peyton Manning going up against a soft defense. THe Snash's best hope is that the Colts race out to such a huge lead (with alot of short touchdown runs by Edgerrin James) that they give Manning the second half off.

wst Coast Style(0-5) sigmakittens(0-5)
Well somebody has to win. Considering that the kitteis have a quarterback actually playing while wst Coast Style missing his main weapon Donovan McNabb si it's looking good for the kitties.

Cooney Quest(1-4) Mechanicatz(3-2)
So long a Drew Bledsoe continues his revivial then the Mechanicatz should do well here though they'll miss Hines Ward but the Quest are already missing Braylon Edwards.

Beckham Pwns All(3-2) WBI-461(4-1)
Good matchup at quarterback with Kerry Collins for WBI-461 and Drew Brees for Beckham Pwns All. This could be settled by the runners as Tiki Barber and Domanick Davis for Beckham could make a bigger difference and Curtis MArtin and Steven Jackson (who could be rendered irrelvant by the end of the first quarter) for WBI-461.

[COLO R=Red]Tolman(2-3) [ COLOR=Navy]Fiesty Clowns(3-2)
The Clowns are waiting for Daunte Culpepper to come around while Tolman can rely on a solid Matt Hasselback but Tolman is missing a back while the Clowns have Kevin Jones and Mewelde Moore . Not exactly barn burners but the two of them may be able to outperform Clinton Portis.

WEEK 6 SCHEDULE
Stevies Scapegoats (1-4) vs. Koko's X-Cats (2-3)
The SCapegoats are still waiting for Daunte Culpepper to come around and need Fast Willie Parker to be bigtime because the X-Cats got Willis McGahee, Micheal Pittman and Lamont Jordan and in Fantasy Football it's tough to beat teams with three backs.

Pelan's Bobcats (1-4)vs. Rhode Island Voltaic (4-1)
Manning, who has been pretty tame this year, could go Postal on Mnday night against one of the softest teams in the league. while the Bobcats waste a roster spot on Duce Staley who hasn't played a down this year.

Nor Cal Crushers (4-1) vs. QC Elite (1-4)
The Elite make it easy on the Crushers by having two bye addled players on the roster and not a very strong group left over. If Thomlinson plays big this week it's over early.

west coast style (2-3) vs. The Tacoites (2-3)
Both teams are featuring bye producced blank spots but the Tacoites also have no useful players on dfense as well and unless Tom Brady has a career day look like they are headed for a loss.

hurricanes (1-4) vs. Dunedain (2-3)
All you need to do to know about the Cnaes cnaces is to look at their starting quarterback who is the benched JP Losman. If Drew Brees and Tiki Barber play up to snuff the Cnaes have no chance.

FIRSTforce (5-0)vs. sigmakittens (2-3)
What makes the Kitties so dangerous is that they have not only an angry Priest Holmes and Curtis Martin while FIRST force is stuck with Mike Anderson and I don't know if Brian Griese can outdo Jake Delhomme.

Team THRUST (4-1) vs.Feisty Klowns (2-3)
The Fiesty Clowns would be a strong threat to Team THRUST if they didn't leave a blank spot on defense (when in a close match you don't give gimmies to your opponent) because Carson Palmer, Edgerrin James and Kevin Jones match up strongly with Eli Manning and Stephen Davis.

Jc's Evil Empire (2-3) vs.Cooney Quest (3-2)
So long as Drew BLedsoe continues his resurgance and Jamal Lewis and Steve Jackson get something the Empire looks pretty good as the Quest has Kelly Holcomb and TJ DUckett to counter them. Not exactly confidence enducing.

Akshar Did It (3-2) vs.IwillCrushYou (2-3)
Well I thought I'd never see the day when an Alex Cromier team would become a virtual bye but from the look of things looks like Alex has shut things down (that message at the top gives a real good indication about his level of dedication) so Akshar DId It has it pretty easy if somebody does something. Not exactly a garuntee witht he group he has.

Your Ad Here (5-0) vs. Coco's Monkeys (2-3)
It's very unusal for an undeteated team to be so negligent of their own roster. But no Hines Ward and a player on a bye. While I'm not sure how much Coco's Monkeys will get out of Gus Freeotte or Corey Dillon but they need to take advantage of Your Ads Here's mistake.

Week VI Postgame Analysis

Boo, Bus! Yay, everything else on my team!

Rhode Island Voltaic (4-1) d. Pelan's Bobcats (1-4)
78-60
This would be the second week in a row Rhode Island would come against a very tough team from the basement. At least this time, their high score wasn’t from Jerome Bettis (hilariously, he scored 0 this time). Their high score was Santana Moss’s 20. Alone, that’d be nigh worthless. But hello, offensive and defensive support. Manning and Dunn both added 11, and the defensive tally was 31. The Bobcats tried to fight back, including a fear-inducing 31 from Shaun Alexander. But beyond Trent Green scoring 12, there really wasn’t enough support to beat the Voltaic (who pulled a 180 from last week and actually had players scoring :p).

Stevies Scapegoats (1-4) vs. Koko's X-Cats (2-3)
draw
53-53
This is one that came down to Monday night and- wait, I’m getting ahead of myself. Sunday for the X-Cats consisted of a LaMont Jordan 15, a McGahee 14, and a Pittman 12. The Scapegoats had Atlanta’s 14 and Galloway’s 10. This is one that came down to Monday Night and with the X-Cats up by 12, it should have been over. They even got another point from Freeney. But the Scapegoats had an awesome performance from Cato June adding 13 to their side. We got ourselves a tie, folks!

Nor Cal Crushers (4-1) d. QC Elite (1-4)
85-65
This is the second week in a row the last-place Elite would bring it against a top team. This week, they looked to crush the appropriately named Crushers. And it looked pretty good for them. The Giants DEF led with 16, and was followed up by Chris Brown’s 14, Tatum Bell’s 12, and Aaron Brooks with 11. Unfortunately, as I keep implying week after week, there’s a reason their opponent is called the Crushers. And Nor Cal started their trademark crushing with Tomlinson throwing, catching, and running for a TD in the same game to score 24 fantasy points. He also had some great support from Plummer, Smith, and McGee (they all put up 12), and was capped off by Chicago’s 14. The Elite lost this one, but at least they looked good doing it.

The Tacoites (2-3) d. west coast style (2-3)
53-51
Ignore what the final score says, this game wasn’t a close one at all. Despite having two players off, The Tacoites led out with their receiver trio combining for 33. Brady would add 8. The “not close” part came from the fact that WCS’s defense was their only real threat, scoring almost half of their points (28). Three donuts existed on that side of the scorecard, which was essentially the killer.

Dunedain (2-3) d. hurricanes (1-4)
54-46
And this one was much closer than the final score says. The Canes looked pretty good with their defensive 28 and Lindell’s 11 But they had two players who never got to touch the ball. Dunedain capitalized on this by keeping up on defense with 23. You’ll notice that Dunedain has no single spectacular score this week. But the fact is, everybody scored (and most added at least 5). Dunedain is now at .500 (yeah… I’m going to go buy some meteor insurance right now :p).

FIRSTforce (5-0) d. sigmakittens (2-3)
78-63
You can’t tell by their record, but the Sigmakittens have a squad of pro-bowlers for their offense. Their problem is that they tend to hit or miss depending on the situation. Or like this week, only half of them could hit. Holmes topped their charts with 17, and Horn came through with 14. Their kicker added 11. The rest of the offense combined for 8 though, leaving a hole for FIRSTforce to squeeze through. Their defense only made that hole wider, combining for 39. Donté Stallworth and Rudi Johnson both put up 10s. What also worked for the Force was that except for a -1, everybody on their team scored at least 6, leaving them the sole undefeated team.

Feisty Klowns (2-3) d. Team THRUST (4-1)
60-39
It’s the game where defense meant absolutely nothing! And unfortunately for the Thrust, neither did their offense. Prettymuch their sole score was Rod Smith and his 12. Moving along to the other side of the scoreboard, the Klowns offense actually mattered. Edgerrin James put up a wicked 25, Carson Palmer continued to be strong with 12, and Matt Stover actually had a chance to kick, scoring 10. I think we can all do the math here.

Jc's Evil Empire (2-3) d. Cooney Quest (3-2)
43-31
Behold the Green Bay dependency! The Quest became practically reliant on the Packers this week. But Green Bay wasn’t playing, so they just stuck in some second-stringers. I think we know where this one is headed. The Empire’s high scores were dual 9s by Steven Jackson and Kevin Curtis. But here’s the kicker (no pun intended): the Empire had players that actually played. It wasn’t a pretty win, but it was a win nonetheless.

Akshar Did It (3-2) vs. IwillCrushYou (2-3)
draw
40-40
We got ourselves a tie… again. Neither team had their greatest week. For IWCY, it was lack of a kicker (OT, Brien is proof that even the best of kickers can get cut). For ADI, it was their injuries. Also, the New England DEF gave them -2. High points for IWCY: Davis (9) and San Diego (8). High points for ADI: Brunell (11) and Deltha O’Neal (8). No matter how you slice it, you still get a draw.

Coco's Monkeys (2-3) d. Your Ad Here (5-0)
39-20
“It's very unusual for an undefeated team to be so negligent of their own roster.” I have to quote this, simply for the fact that there really wasn’t much YAH could do this week. McNair was playing injured, Hines Ward and Randy Moss were hurt too much to even play, and any replacements YAH could put in were on byes. The Monkeys played a defensive game this week (IOW, their offense was el crapo), with a combined 35 in that department. Sure, it made up prettymuch their entire score. But it’s not like they needed much.

Wow, my last postgame analysis as a teenager... so I added a new feature to the standings as an early birthday gift! You'll notice after Streak is a new column called Change. Simply put, it tells how many spots you gained or lost compared to the previous week (now if only I had thought of it earlier; we could've seen The Tacoites stuck in that 11 spot for three weeks :p). Oh, and the scoreboard actually fixed itself. The standings aren't quite as messy as last week. You'll also notice a new first place team, the last of the undefeateds (and apparently I can claim that plural form as an Eddieism :D). Will it last, or will the high fantasy points of Nor Cal and Rhode Island take over the place?

Tune in early next week for the postgame anaylsis, and later in the week comes the annual "first half of the regular season" awards! w00t!

Re: Week VI Postgame Analysis

Wow... I've won one game and I pretty much forgot all about the league... until about a week ago. When I made slight changes. It took me a while to even find the Fantasy Football part of Yahoo!. Sorry about the lack of activity... easy bye I guess. ;) I'll try to be more active? Doubtful... I have to get a job now.

WEEK 7 SCEDULE
Koko's X-Cats(4-2) vs. Tolman(3-3)
The X-Cats had to replace the massively productive Marc Bulger with Steve McNair due to injury and Tolman could take advantage with the rock steady Matt Hasselback. If Tolman can possibly get naything out of Jamal Lewis agianst the Bears that is anotehr matchup that could sway in their favor. Look out for the CHicago Bears D for the X-Cats. They could put up big numbers against the clueless and mistake prone Ravens offense.

Jc's Evil Empire(4-2) vs. Mechanicatz(3-3)
Not sure what the Evil Empire can expect out of Ben Roethlisberger this week but the Mechincatz are missing an important cog with Randy Moss hurting and Cadillac Williams on a bye (and hurt) and SHelton Quarells as well on a bye.

Nor Cal Crushers(4-2) vs. Stevies Scapegoats(5-1)
Matchup of the week. The Crushers got the red hot Carson Palmer and the top runing back in the league Shaun Alexnader. Plus Lamont Jordan is facing the porous Buffalo Bills run defense so he could be big time this week. The SCapegoats aren't quite as strong at running back but Marc Brunell could possible be gangbusters this week going up aginst the non-existant Niners D.

Tomahawks(3-3) vs. Dogs in the Bathtub(1-5)
For once the Dogs have everyone on their rister playing and as usual it doesn't matter as their backs don't scare anyone and Micheal Vick is not a very good fantasy football quarterback. THe Tomahawks got PEyton Manning. Now he could have another non productive week and the TOmahawks backs are eh (one is a backup and the otehr is on a bye) So they could still blow this one.

sigmakittens(1-5) vs. Cromer Angry Smash!(6-0)
The kitties tasted sweet victory for the first time this season. Thier reward? They get to face down the best team in the league. This one could be settled on Friday depending on how Priest Holmes and Trent Green perform in Miami for the kitties. Farve will do well for the Smash as will Edgerrin James.

Cooney Quest(2-4) vs. WBI-461(5-1)
WBI-461 is one tough out so it pays to manage the roster when you are facing them. I'm not sure how Kerry Collins will do. He's been up and down all season but I expect Steven Jackson to do well and CUrtis Martin may be all the Jets have. The Quest are riding on Thomas Jones and Ronnie Brown and if they do well they may just pull off the upset.

Beckham Pwns All(3-3) vs. [ COLOR=Navy]Fiesty Clowns(3-3)
Both teams are at the crossraods for the season and are looking to make a move but Beckham has more damage done to their roster and is crippled especially in the passing game and need bug production from Tiki Barber. Domanick Davis and Drew Brees to hang close.

wst Coast Style(0-6) vs.Pelan's Bobcats(1-5)
Pelan's Bobcats are in a very giving mood and have basically giftwrapped a victory for wst Coast Style by not maintaing their roster ONCE AGIAN!
How nice of them.

20.        QC Elite                1-5-0        .167        235        L-1    ±0

QC Elite (1-5) vs. Koko's X-Cats (2-3-1)
The X-Cats are holding out hope that their beloved Bills don't bring their A-game to Oakland so Kerry Collins and Lamont Jordan can thrive for their floundering Fantasy team. THe Elite never really got started and are hoping Aaron Brooks shows up thsi week for them.

Rhode Island Voltaic (5-1) vs.hurricanes (1-5)
The Voltaic could get big dividends from Peyton Manning this week making things very easy for theminspite of their roster gaffe. The canes McNabb could match him score for score though so the quarterback battle bears close inspection as it'll go far in determining the winner.

Nor Cal Crushers (5-1) vs. Pelan's Bobcats (1-5)
The Bobcats have a full roster this week but so long as the Crushers have Westbrook and Thomlinson they will be tough to beat. But if Plummer does one of his patented brain freeze jobs on the road Shaun Alexander stays great and Trent Green plays a good game in Miami the Bobcats could sneak away with a win.

The Tacoites (3-3) vs. Stevies Scapegoats (1-4-1)
The Tacoites are at a disadvantage due to playing Matt Schuab who is returning to the Atlanta Falcons bench. Thus if the Scapegoats get any posative production out of Daunte Culpepper (an iffy proposition this year) they could come away with a much needed win.

Dunedain (3-3) vs. sigmakittens (2-4)
The kittis are missing a quarterback. Fortunately for them Dunedain is missing a wide reciver, a kicker and a defender.

FIRSTforce (6-0) vs. Feisty Klowns (3-3)
FIRST force is obviously tired of winning as they have no less than 3 blank spots on their roster including injured quarterback Brian Griese. Not wishing to be outdoen the Klowns decided to play without a defense.

Team THRUST (4-2)vs.Jc's Evil Empire (3-3)
The Evil Empire is trying to get a win with two back who ahve not performed up to snuff so far this year. Steven Jackson of the Rams and Jamal Lewis of the Ravens. Of courese Ahman Green for Team THRUST has not been setting the world on fire theitehr so whomever gets the running game going will probably win.

Akshar Did It (3-2-1) vs.Cooney Quest (3-3)
Akshar is involved in a close matchup but David Akers is out with a groin injury and it could cost them dearly. The Quest's dependance on the Packers could pay off this week against the incompitient Vikings.

Coco's Monkeys (3-3) vs. IwillCrushYou (2-3-1)
The bitter IWILLCRUSHYOU could stumble into a victory if Hasselback, Larry Johnson and Clinton Portis are good this week as the Monkeys don't have much at running back and Freotte cannot be trusted.

Your Ad Here (5-1) vs. west coast style (2-4)
Christmas comes early for Your Ad Here as wst Coast Style sports three blanks on their roster including quarterback. It doesn't get easier than that.

Re: 2006 FIRST Fantasy Football

Never thought lack of a kicker would kill me… Anyway, I rushed a bit on this, so if anything doesn’t make sense, that’s why.

hurricanes (1-5) d. Rhode Island Voltaic (5-1)
45-43
Are bottom-tier teams the Voltaic’s kryptonite? I know going into a match with your second-string defense is a points-killer, but when you look at the fact that Santana Moss’s 11 was Rhode Island’s only decent offensive score, perhaps there were some alien rocks involved. The Hurricanes also had a kicker score points. Their best score was a 10 from Chris Chambers, and their defense combined for 17 (5 more than RI’s), leading them to their second win.

Koko's X-Cats (2-3-1) d. QC Elite (1-5)
85-46
LaMont Jordan. 26 points. Ouch. And such were the Elite’s woes this week The X-Cats just brought everything they could to the table. Possibly overkill, but who’s going to complain about that aforementioned 26, Philadelphia’s 17, Burress’s 11, and Mare’s 9? All the Elite could muster up to fight with were Aaron Brooks’s 10 and Josh Brown’s 11. It would’ve been enough to beat literally half the league this week, but not the high-scoring X-Cats.

Nor Cal Crushers (5-1) d. Pelan's Bobcats (1-5)
45-43
This is the first time the Crushers have been even remotely threatened since Week I. Thomlinson was an absolute dud, and the rest of the offense stayed out of the end-zone. So you bring in the defense, which came together for 24 much-needed points. The Bobcats had both the Jets and Antonio Gates scoring 10, and 9 from McCardell. Unfortunately for them, they had nothing else, putting a possible upset out of reach.

Stevies Scapegoats (1-4-1) d. The Tacoites (3-3)
75-48
The Tacoites were in a world of hurt without a playing QB or any remotely effective offense. Their best score was a 13 from Indianapolis, and that was also unsupported. Their opponent came out with 14 from Culpepper and 12 from Willie Parker. But what was really impressive was their 36 combined from their Atlanta DEF and Ds on Monday night. The Tacoites stood no chance.

sigmakittens (2-4) d. Dunedain (3-3)
60-38
Dunedain had three byes that could not be replaced due to his roster, and no score above Drew Brees’s 9. That made it very easy for their opponent to outscore them. The Kittens had Priest Holmes tally 16, Seattle scoring 12, and Adam Archuleta (how the heck is this name not setting off my spellchecker?) putting up 14. Dunedain is no longer on a win streak, so all you people afraid of fissures opening up and destroying the planet can stop worrying :p.

Feisty Klowns (3-3) d. FIRSTforce (6-0)
59-36
Well, FIRSTforce had to lose sometime. So by process of elimination, that means the Klowns must’ve won. Their score certainly correlates, what with Edgerrin James leading with 18 and Donald Driver tacking on 11. And on the flip side, FIRSTforce definitely lost. In another case of byes and injuries prettymuch forcing them to play with weaker plaers this week, their only score to be proud of was Mike Anderson’s 12. The FIRST Robotics Fantasy Football League has never had an undefeated team at the end of a season, and it officially won’t happen this year either.

Jc's Evil Empire (3-3) d. Team THRUST (4-2)
63-47
Here’s an interesting stat for you: more than half of the Empire’s roster scored at least 9 fantasy points. Team THRUST’s roster put up three 9s themselves (Eli Manning, Jason Elam, and Cleveland) and an 11 (Jonathan Vilma). But where it gets bad for Team THRUST (or good for the Empire, take your pick) is the fact that that’s where production stopped. The Evil Empire had enough scoring from their top players though (this week was Steven Jackson scoring 16) to skip ahead to their third straight win.

Cooney Quest (3-3) d. Akshar Did It (3-2-1)
53-43
“Akshar is involved in a close matchup but David Akers is out with a groin injury and it could cost them dearly.” Oh yeah. That and San Fransisco’s -5 really hurt them. Props to Brunell’s 16 and Dansby’s 15, but it couldn’t hold up to lack of anything else. “The Quest's dependence on the Packers could pay off this week against the incompetent Vikings.” That’s a grand total of 28, over half their score from three players. While those were their only high scores, keep in mind that with the exception of one player, everybody on the Quest gave them at least 4. Cooney’s “slowly but surely” gameplay this week takes them above the .500 mark.

IwillCrushYou (2-3-1) d. Coco's Monkeys (3-3)
63-16
Yeah… I’ll just say that the Monkeys had a really terrible week, and move over to IWCY (who incidentally did not have a terrible week). Their offense was made up of Larry Johnson and Clinton Portis combining for 34 (11 and 23 respectively) all on their lonesome. Their defense wasn’t terrific, but their combined 15 got the job done. Oh, let’s face it; IWCY would’ve won with Portis alone. No matter how it happened though, IWCY pulled itself out of a four-game winless slump.

Your Ad Here (5-1) d. west coast style (2-4)
50-45
“Christmas comes early for Your Ad Here as west coast style sports three blanks on their roster including quarterback.” YAH must be Jewish, because they practically tried to lose this one. WCS could have won, but their byes simply could not be helped. While there was some impressive conglomeration going on (five players did better than 7 points), those blanks absolutely killed them. On YAH’s team, their best scores were three 8s (Tennessee, Moore, and Wilson). YAH’s average score was actually lower, but they didn’t have any absences. It was another game of attrition which YAH ended up on top of.

I chuckled when I saw three teams at .500 after playing an odd number of games. We also lost our last undefeated team. The top five teams are the same (though with a slightly different order) this week, but the next seven spots got really shaken up. More on this in my mid-season review/awards. Finally: talk about a low scoring week. Literally half the teams scored 45 or less, two of them in victories.

Speaking of the mid-season review/awards, I'll get those up within the next 36 hours.

Mid-season Review/Awards

Best of the best, first half:

Most Valuable QB

Carson Palmer (Feisty Klowns)
He's the only QB in the league to average 10 points a game. Not to mention the fact that the Klowns are in sixth place.

Honorable Mention: Brett Favre
So what happens when you have a Green Bay dependancy? You get Brett Favre scoring big in all four of Cooney Quest's wins.

Best Running Game

LaDainian Thomlinson, Brian Westbrook, & Carnell Williams (Nor Cal Crushers)
You wanna know why the Crushers are appropriately named? These three are why. Thomlinson is tied for the top score in the league, while Westbrook is number 10 among RBs. And when Cadillac isn't hurt, he's providing excellent support. This is why Nor Cal is up top.

Honorable Mention: LaMont Jordan & Willis McGahee
Yeah, the X-Cats have had three tough losses. But even in these, there's one constant: the running game provides their top scoring.

Best Receiving Game

It literally took me an hour to decide this. These two would generally be the honorable mentions, but nobody else has two receivers near the top.

Santana Moss & Dante Hall (Rhode Island Voltaic)
You know, if you actually count Hall as a receiver (he does have a receiving TD, so that was good enough for me). Santana Moss leads the league in receiving yardage, and Dante Hall is a top returner (and for all you nay-sayers out there, he's ranked 14th among all receivers). These two have bailed out RI time and time again.

Terrell Owens & Marvin Harrison (west coast style)
You know, if you can get past the fact that they're 2-5. Still, these two are the best two combined receivers in the league. WCS doesn't have much to be proud of, but they can at least be proud of these two.

Honorable Mention: Steve Smith
It's Nor Cal. It's the highest single fantasy score for receivers. 'Nuff Said.

Most Valuable Kicker

Neil Rackers (FIRSTforce)
Hands down. He's 20 for 20 in the first half, 2 of those being over 50 yards. Rackers is a primary scorer on the second-place Force.

Honorable Mention: Shayne Graham
While having a very easy schedule, the third place YAH still had to produce. And production came from Graham. While being a bit quirky on field goals, he's solid on PATs.

Most Productive Offense

Nor Cal Crushers
Do I really need to explain this one? The rundown: Thomlinson, Westbrook, & the Cadillac. Steve Smith. Even Jake Plummer isn't too bad. With Nor Cal ranked number one in both record and fantasy points, I think this was a shoe-in.

Honorable Mention: Koko's X-Cats
The X-Cats are second in fantasy points despite being back in that .500 tier. When they've lost, it's been close (or they're facing Cory ;)); when they've won, it's been dominating. McGahee, Jordan, and Burress lead their team, and they have a QB who always manages to contribute something.

Honorable Mention: Team THRUST
I didn't think it was fair to mention the 3-3-1 X-Cats without mentioning an almost equally as effective 4-3 team. Eli Manning has been hot the last few weeks (having Bulger backing him up when need be is nice too), and Stephen Davis and Torry Holt keep contributing points.

Most Dominating Defense

Stevie's Scapegoats
Under normal circumstances, this would've only gotten an honorable mention. But despite only being 2-4-1, they have not just two, but four defenders in the top 15. Add that to Atlanta holding their opponents at bay, and you truly have a dominating defense. Now if only they had an offense...

Honorable Mention: TeamTHRUST
Vilma and June have been racking up points for them all season long. This would've probably won the top prize if they weren't stuck with Minnesota as their DEF.

Honorable Mention: Rhode Island Voltaic
This defense is appropriately placed. While not the best, Ray Lewis, Mike Brown, and Atlanta are consistant point scorerers, even bailing out RI on a couple occasions.

Honorable Mention: FIRSTforce
I was about to pass this one up. Then I realized that they at least deserve an honorable mention in this category. Brooking, Bulluck, and Fletcher provide great support to the Carolina DEF. But what locked it is not only the fact that this is a good defense, but the fact that it's helped them get to second place.

Playoff Picture
I'll keep it brief this time. While nobody is eliminated yet, and nobody has clinched, there are certain quirks to the picture right now. Up top, barring a couple broken legs, Nor Cal looks like a shoe-in to a high playoff seed. I'll even go out and say the I like FIRSTforce's chances. It's YAH that worries me. They have yet to face a team with a winning record, and have a very tough road ahead. On the flip side, Rhode Island has a relatively easy schedule the second half, and may very well be in contention for a top spot (though losing to two basement teams is proof that anything can happen). THRUST hit a small losing streak, but to be fair, those two losses were to teams on a winning streak. They'll most likely be fighting for a lower spot with their only moderately difficult schedule. And those two afforementioned teams on a win streak (Empire and Klowns) both have a schedule of moderate difficulty, and will probably be fighting for lower playoff spots. And the bottom of the top/top of the middle Cooney only have a couple tough matchups left, and will probably get a comfortable playoff spot.

I'm still chuckling at the fact that there are three 3-3-1 teams. The X-Cats are the unluckiest team on the planet right now, but only have one more team on their schedule above .500. I still like their chances. Both IWCY and ADI have difficult schedules ahead, and will have to work hard to make it into the bottom playoff spots. Dunedain's three straight wins came against the bottom three teams, and they have a moderate schedule left. My bet is on no. The Kittens and Tacoites have an easier schedule, and if they can steal a couple close ones, they will be in (though barring a couple breakdowns higher up, I don't think both of them will make it). The Monkeys don't seem to win as much as their opponents lose, and their last three games are the top three in fantasy points. I don't like their chances. The Scapegoats have turned themselves around the last couple weeks, and they have an easy schedule, meaning I have a feeling they'll be in the playoff hunt. WCS has an easy schedule, but the only way they'll be in the hunt is if they exploit their opponents' weaknesses. The Cane's, Elite, and Bobcats all had lucky wins, and I think it's a safe bet that they'll be on the outside looking in.

But finally, keep in mind that really, anything can happen. The Cane's, Elite, and Bobcats are still nowhere near out, and Nor Cal is still not guaranteed to be in. But thenagain, watching things unfold is what makes this fun.

Okay, that's it for the mid-season review/awards. Here's to a second half as exciting as the first. And here's to me finally being able to get some sleep :D.

Week VIII Postgame Analysis

Yeah… if you all would just skip over that first review…

sigmakittens (3-4) d. Rhode Island Voltaic (5-2)
62-24
I don’t have anything to quote this week, but I’m pretty sure Ed would’ve said something along the lines of “Rhode Island is screwed.” They went into the game running their second string offense due to byes, and a hurt defense, and- okay, I’ll stop making excuses. The Voltaic didn’t inhale audibly; they outright sucked. Their best scores were twin 7s from Hall and Kasay. Moving away from that embarrassment: two of the kitties defensive players (Oakland and Mathis) would’ve beaten RI themselves (with 15 and 13 respectively). Add a Jake Delhomme 17 for insurance (like they even needed it), and the Sigmakittens move to .500 quite easily.

Koko's X-Cats (3-3-1) d. Pelan's Bobcats (1-6)
53-52
An interesting stat for you: coming into this game, the Bobcats had lost each of their last three games by exactly two points. So for a team in the basement, they are putting up excellent fights. They started off with Antonio Gates’s 25 and Trent Green’s 10. They followed up with… absolutely nothing. This allowed the X-Cats some breathing room. A 10 from the K spot and dual 12s from Schobel and Jordan wouldn’t be enough. However, that Kerry Collins 13 pushed them just enough to get that win.

Nor Cal Crushers (6-1) d. hurricanes (2-5)
85-44
Even I could’ve predicted this one. The Canes had almost no offense and only 17 from their defense this week. But I want to get to the spectacular stuff. Namely, the appropriately named Crushers. Defense: combined 23. Westbrook: 10. Steve Smith: 17. But what topped it was Jake Plummer’s 22. Nor Cal easily remains in first place.

The Tacoites (3-4) d. QC Elite (1-6)
68-59
Did the Tacoites really just win this game with a “middle of the pack” receiver (Moulds, 13)), a kicker (Feely, 19), and Dallas (obviously Dallas, 14)? To be fair, they got good support from the rest of the offense, who all scored at least 4. The Elite keep trying to pull out of the basement. And for a moment, it looked like they could, what with a combined 27 from their RBs. Unfortunately, beyond the Giants’ very nice 20, there was almost no support (god knows the rest of the offense didn’t give any). So we go back to the beginning, where the Tacoites did indeed win with a “middle of the pack” receiver, a kicker, and Dallas.

west coast style (2-5) d. Stevies Scapegoats (2-4-1)
49-48
Talk about horrible luck: the Scapegoats' Culpepper got injured early, and contributed a big donut. While excellent defense (a combined 27) and Joey Galloway (13) tried to compensate, they fell a point short. Ouch. While not as great on defense (still a decent combined 20), WCS was able to offset this With a Terrell Owens 14 and 9 from Leftwich. This week’s game left the Scapegoats in a world of hurt.

Feisty Klowns (4-3) d. Dunedain (3-4)
54-51
If you start at the top of the scoreboards, it looked like Dunedain was going to win. A 15 from Drew Brees, a 16 from Tiki Barber, and everything looks great. But then again, that’s why there are four quarters in a game, and seven other roster spots on the scorecard. Seven other roster spots where only one player broke 3. The 13 from Palmer, the 12 from Cincinnati, and the 10 from Janikowski started the Klowns with game of catch-up. Luckily for them, with three other players breaking 4, they were just able to pull past the now slumping Dunedain.

Jc's Evil Empire (4-3) d. FIRSTforce (6-1)
46-40
Well, I can’t say I saw this coming. Doesn’t help that this was another case of a QB getting hurt for FIRSTforce (though McCown’s injury wasn’t season ending). It probably doesn’t help either that their receivers did next-to-nothing. In fact, their only good score was Mike Anderson’s 12. The Empire’s Kevin Curtis equaled that, Danny Clark added 9, and Steven Jackson took the top score with 15. That’s four straight for the Evil Empire.

Akshar Did It (3-3-1) d. Team THRUST (4-3)
56-52
Lets look at the defense: ADI had one (and a good one at that, combining for 28). They also had the spellchecker smashers Roethlisberger (9) and Houshmandzadeh (10). Team Thrust had Stephen Davis tally 14 and Jeremiah Trotter add 10. But remember in my mid-season awards when I said that Team THRUST would’ve won Most Dominating Defense if they weren’t stuck with Minnesota as their DEF? Guess who cost them the game with -5? Yep, Minnesota. This tough break is what gives Team THRUST their third straight loss.

Coco's Monkeys (3-4) d. Cooney Quest (4-3)
73-29
*Double takes at the team with the lowest fantasy score breaking 70* Okay, apparently I did see that right. Going down the list of contributions: Corey Dillon had 15, both Heath Miller and Mike Peterson scored 12, Kennison took 11, Urlacher put up 9, Baltimore tallied 7, and Carney contributed 6. That’s conglomeration, no matter how you try to slice it. But what’s even more amazing then the Monkeys winning is that their opponents still lost (you’ll recall a comment in my mid-year analysis stating that the Monkeys don’t win; their opponents lose). Cooney had the unfortunate pain of relying on Green Bay, and this week, it absolutely killed them. With their only decent score being Branch’s 11, it was easily a game the Monkeys WON (capitalized for emphasis ;)). Both teams now sit at 4-4.

Your Ad Here (6-1) d. IwillCrushYou (3-3-1)
35-25
Byes and injuries are the story of this game. Lack of a QB and a hurt kicker just killed IWCY. And YAH again attempted to lose with four players playing hurt. Key word there though is playing. Playing=scoring (except in Rhode Island’s case :p). And Scoring generally equals winning. I really can’t tell who lost this game, but score wise, YAH still manages to keep their place in the top tier.

Catch you next week.

WEEK 8 RESULTS
Beckham Pwns All(4-4) 128.90 Koko's X-Cats(5-3) 112.13
Even missing a starter Beckham easily handles the X-Cats led by Drew Brees 39.37, the Miami Dolphins defenses 30 points, Tiki Barber's 20.57 and Chris Brown's 14.33. The X-Cats weren't no slouches led by Jamie Martin's 19.03 points, the Chicago Bears defenses 18.00, Kevin Curtis' 15.50, Heath Miller's 14.70, Bubba Frank's 13.63 and Willis McGahee's 11.47 points. Admirable numbers but considerably short of the numbers put up by their counterparts.

WBI-461(4-1) 175.01 Jc's Evil Empire(5-3) 149.87
SCoring a robust 149.87 points would be enough to win going away if the Evil Empire would be playing anyone else than WBI-461 who scored a ridiculous 175.01 points. Kerry Collin's led the onslaught with 32.37 points followed by Jerry Porter (thanks to Pac Man Jones and his Deion Sanders impersionation) with 23.20, Jay Feeley with 22.50, Marion Barber's 22.47, Stepehn Jackson with 20.33, the now -injured Anquaan Boldin with 12.10 and Antonio Pierce with 12 points.
The Evil Empire got 26.17 points from Ben Roethlisberger, 18.90 from Terrell Owens (who is now out with a severe case of dirareaha of the mouth), 15.97 from Tony Gonzales, 14.93 from Brian Westbrook, LaDanian Thomlinson with 14.70, Deion Branch with 14.63, Rod Smith with 13.57, and the Detriot Lions defense with 11 points.
Good but not good enough . My sympathies Corey.

Nor Cal Crushers(5-3) 142.60 Mechanicatz(3-5) 64.53
The Mechanicatz season has quickly imploded and it came to a head last week as the Crushers more than doubled thier score. With three big zeroes either due to byes or non perfomance they were dead before thje game sreally began. Drew Bledsoe with an (underperforming) 21.83 was all they had.
Meanwhile the Crushers had 34.90 from both Steve Smith and Carson Palmer. Those two outscored the Mechinacatz by themselves.

Tomahawks(5-3) 125.84 Stevies Scapegoats(6-2) 77.21
After weeks of surging ahead to the lead group of the league the SCapgoats put up an airball and got absolutely stomped. Outside the 34 points their defense put up they didn't have much to show at all. Antonio Gates 32.67 nearly negates that and add in the Niners D 24 points, Kyle Orton 22.17 and Muhsin Muhammad's 11.27.

sigmakittens(2-6) 115.70 Dogs in the Bathtub(1-7) 94.13
The kitties exploded for over a hundred points led by 38.20 points from Trent Green, 19.83 from Eric Moulds and 16 points from the Carolina Pantehrs defense. The Dogs got 17.77 from Trent Dilfer, 15 points from Warren Sapp, Lemar Marshall's 11.50 points and 10 points from both Neil Rackers and the Baltimore Ravens defense.

Cromer Angry Smash!(8-0) 102.36wst Coast Style(1-7) 68.20
The Smash get it easy for once as wst Caost Style got 30.30 points from Donovan McNabb and nothing much else from anybody else. The Smash got a dissapointing 18.57 from Brett Farve but unlike wst Coast Style had support from his teammates Stephen Davis, the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, and Mike Peterson all scored in double digits to lead the Smash to an easy win.

[ COLOR=Navy]Fiesty Clowns(5-3) 95.31 Cooney Quest(2-6) 86.37
This game ended up much closer than it probably should have been with Daunte Culpepper going down for the year with a devastating knee injury. Fortunately for the Clowns Eddie Kennison, Kevin Jones, Donald Driver and Nick Barnett picked up the slack. Josh McCown and the depleated New England Patriots defense was all the Quest really had. That they came close is pretty much a miracle.

Tolman(4-4) 74.87 Pelan's Bobcats(1-7) 74.16
Tolman played Chiken with the train and got away with it by starting a bye addled Matt Hasselback and Alge Crumpler. Of course the Bobcats helped them out by haivng the Seahawks defense playing when they weren't. The Cincinatti Bengals defense took advantage scoring 14 points and saved Tolman's bacon.

WEEK 9 SCHEDULE
Cooney Quest(2-6) vs. Koko's X-Cats(5-3)
Stricking to thier usual bad habits the Quest decided to make things easier for the X-Cats and leave two defensive starters on the roster but they do have a distinct advantage at running back with Thomas Jones and Ronnie Brown over the X-Cats TJ Duckett and Chester Taylor but the X-Cats got a big time advantage at quarterback with Steve McNair over Joey Harrington.

[ COLOR=Navy]Fiesty Clowns(5-3) vs. Jc's Evil Empire(5-3)
Whomever can get anything good out of their quarterback (or at least inflicts the least damage to their own teams chances) will lead thier team to victory here as well. The Empire is looking solid with Thomlinson though.

Nor Cal Crushers(5-3) vs. WBI-461(4-1)
The Crushers could slap WBI-461 from their second place perch with their solid advantage at running back with Shaun Alexnader and Lamont Jordan over Curtis Martin and DeShaun Foster who will have to wait his turn for his carries behind Stpehen Davis. WBI-461 needs a big game from Jerry Collins to stay close.

Tomahawks(5-3) vs. Mechanicatz(3-5)
The Mechanicatz must have packed up camp for the season because they decided to leep Drew BLedsoe in the starting lineup even though he's on a bye.And in this league you cannot win without a starting quarterback. The Tomahawks should win easily.

sigmakittens(2-6) vs. Stevies Scapegoats (6-2)
The SCapegoats need to make up for last weeks egg-on-your-face collapse last week get an improving sigmakittens team. The quarterback matchup is pretty tight but the Scapegaots got significnat advnatages in teh recivers and the running game and that could make all the difference.

Cromer Angry Smash!(8-0) vs. Dogs in the Bathtub(1-7)
The best team in the league against the worst. Looking up and down the Dogs roster there is no reason to belive they have any chance whatsoever to knock the Smash from the ranks of the unbeaten.

Beckham Pwns All(4-4) vs. Pelan's Bobcats(1-7)
Both teams are missing players due to byes and the Bobcats (on paper) have the advantage for once. What Brees and Brady do obviously goes a long way in deciding who wins as does the running back battle. What may actually settle the matter is if the Seattle Seahawks handle the Cardinals for the Bobcats and if the Dolphins have answers for Micheal Vick and the Falcons for Beckham.

wst Coast Style(1-7) vs.Tolman(4-4)
In spite of his poor roster management Tolman is still in the playoff hunt but that could end after this week and it'll be thier own fault for leaving 4 players who are on a bye. Unless the Portis and Lewios go nuts they really don't have a chance.

Koko's X-Cats (4-3-1) vs. hurricanes (2-6)
The X-Cats continue their drive to the plaoffs after last week's close shave with a soft touch against the canes who outside of a TO-less Donovan McNabb there really isn't much to be scared of except the Pittsburgh Steelers defense.

Feisty Klowns (5-3) vs. Rhode Island Voltaic (5-3)
Outside of their amusing spellcheck smacktalk session this is a pretty good matchup. but the Klowns do have an advantage at running back even if Reuben Droughns does noithing because they have Edgerrin James who is primed to beat down New England on Monday night. Warrick Dunn could be scraping for yards in Miami.

Nor Cal Crushers (7-1) vs. sigmakittens (4-4)
The obviously bored Crushers wanted to make things more challening by "seeing how the other half lives" by mismanging their roster by leaving two players unattended who are ona bye including their quarterback. But they do have a three headed monster at running back with Kevin Jones, the much needed but so far underused Brian Westbrook and most importantly LaDanian Thomlinson. If Jake Delhome is bigtime today they could make things very difficult for the Crushers.

The Tacoites (4-4) vs. Pelan's Bobcats (1-7)
Things are looking up for the Bobcats this week as they are actually in this one die to no one being on a bye and being on equal footing with thier opponent. If SHaun Slaexnader and Antonio Gates play big who knows they might actually win! Of course Tom Brady does what he usually does to the Colts it won't matter.

QC Elite (1-7) vs. Stevies Scapegoats (2-5-1)
When your best scoring options are your defense and your kicker things are looking really bad for you. What Fast Willie Parker does may determine if the Scapegoats runaway from the Elite or if the Elite can keep it close enough to pull off the upset.

Jc's Evil Empire (5-3) vs. Dunedain (3-5)
The Evil Empire has done a nice job climbing back into the playoff race with their supposed disatisfaction with the league they could be in trouble this week depending on Micheal Vick and Jamal Lewis to get them over against Dunedain;s Tiki Barber and Drew Brees.

Akshar Did It (4-3-1) vs. vs.FIRSTforce (6-2)
After falling on their face last week FIRST force tries to make up for their failure by basically having more capable players then Akshar has (amazingly Joey Harrington is more capble than Charlie Batch and I think Rudi Johnson can produce more points than reutn man Darren Sproles).

Coco's Monkeys (4-4) vs. Team THRUST (4-4)
On paper this matchup is a dead heat and Eli Manning on the road is a whole different creature from Eli Manning in the Meadowlands but this is the Niners he's playing and thus things look a bit better for Team Thrust than a non-playing Jeff Garcia and that is basically the difference.

Your Ad Here (7-1) vs. Cooney Quest (4-4)
Your Ad Here has alot of hurting players on their roster. But at least their people I know who I know produce regulary. WHo the heck is Mike Sellers ? And who knows what you are going to get from Brett Farve from week to week? The Quest will be lucky to keep it close.

west coast style (3-5) vs.
In spite of Iwillcrushyou's depsing the league they are still doing well and are in good shape here so long as Larry Johnson, Domanick Davis and Clinton Portis produce. Antowain Smith is certainly not going to outproduce those three and without Terrell Ownes I can't see how wst Coast Style will survive really.

Yeah...unfortunately, I had absolutely no choice but to play with no QB and no Terrence McGee. There was nobody worth picking up at QB, and even if there was I couldn't afford to drop anyone to get them. Same on D. No way I'm dropping the best defensive player.

Who?
T-Mac?
Geez, us Bills don't think he's that great a d-back. He's aN exciting returner but he gets burned alot.

fantasy D player :)

His return points and tackles are invaluable. The only other guy to come close is Donnie Edwards.

I think Bills fans are saying they'd rather have T-Mac long term instead of Nate Clements. They both are valuble in the return game but T-Mac is a pro bowl kick returner and is improving as a cover corner while Clements isn't the shut down corner he likes to think he is and we can have Parrish or Fast Freddy Smith return punts. He'll probably be allowed to walk next season.

Week IX Postgame Analysis

Wow… had I done this early, two results would’ve been off. Looks like Yahoo flubbed something up, and didn’t bother to tell us. So I’m feeling extra snarky this week.

Rhode Island Voltaic (5-3) d. Feisty Klowns (5-3)
64-63
In what was the game of the week, the Spellcheck Smacktalk Bowl was a nail biter that ended Thursday morning (hear me out here). Starting out on Sunday, Rhode Island had absolutely ker-ploded (an Eddieism). Their defense did nothing, and their only good scores were a 10 from John Kasay and 11 from Dunn. The misspelled Klowns had Carson Palmer’s 10, a Janikowski 9, and a defense that scored. After Sunday, The Klowns were up by 17. Fast forward to Monday Night Football, where the Patriots got owned with a capital P by Indianapolis. There were three benefactors to this. Rhode Island got 16 from Manning and a 12 from Wayne, putting them up 11. The Klowns got that 11 back with Edgerrin James. After Monday, it was tied. Then, Wednesday night/Thursday morning, Cincinnati lost a point somehow for the Klowns, giving the Voltaic the win. A well-fought match by both teams, only sullied by Yahoo’s scorkeeping.

Koko's X-Cats (4-3-1) vs. hurricanes (2-6)
draw
43-43
The second victim of Yahoo’s lousy scorekeeping this week doesn’t break a tie, but rather causes one (the Canes actually won this game before what I assume is another scoring change Thursday morning). High points for the Canes: Pittsburgh’s 13 (it’s not like the rest of their defense actually did anything), Graham’s 9, and the fact that despite having no T.O., McNabb managed to put up 7 positive points. The X-Cats’ good stuff: Julius Peppers’s 10, Jordan’s 9, and Collins’s 8. I suppose the tie is better than a loss for the X-Cats, meaning a break actually went in their favor for a change.

Nor Cal Crushers (7-1) d. sigmakittens (4-4)
69-64
“The obviously bored Crushers wanted to make things more challenging by ‘seeing how the other half lives’ by mismanaging their roster by leaving two players unattended who are on a bye including their quarterback.” Quoted for hilariousness. And truth, despite the fact that there was really nothing Nor Cal could do about the sitch. Truth be told, the Sigmakittens gave them a run for their money. Their defense combined for 37 (extra props to Gamble with 19 and Seattle with 14), and dual 9s were put up by Curtis “My Favorite” Martin (yes, I happen to like that nickname) and Lawrence Tynes. Even Delhomme tacked on 7. Most of the Crushers offense fell apart. Chicago’s 12 helped. But when I say “most of” the offense fell apart, I mean that. Steve Smith added 13. That was it. No, wait, no it wasn’t. Some guy named LaDanian Thomlinson added a few points. Let’s see, he had 153 all-purpose yards. Oh, and four touchdowns. Double take if you have to, but that totals to 31 points. Most of the offense fell apart, but Smith and Thomlinson carried Nor Cal. The Crushers got really lucky this week, but the fact of the matter is, they won.

The Tacoites (4-4) d. Pelan's Bobcats (1-7)
52-51
The score says one thing about this game: these two teams were very equal this week. Brady got 16 (despite the butt kicking) for The Tacoites, while Alexander scored 20 for the Bobcats. Both had moderate defenses (15-14 in favor of The Tacoites). Both had the rest of the offense score merely okay points. But in the end, The Tacoites edge out the Bobcats by a point, putting them above .500 for the first time this season.

QC Elite (1-7) d. Stevies Scapegoats (2-5-1)
66-38
I gotta say, this is not the same Elite squad that has been stuck in the basement since Week II. They absolutely dominated this week, with 10 from Chris Brown, and 11 from both Michael Bennett and the New York Football Giants. Not quite amazing until you realize that all but two players on the Elite broke 6. The Scapegoats only made things worse for themselves with their only score that they want to see mentioned here being Galloway’s 10. After spending seven weeks in the basement, QC Elite finally breaks free. Now the question remains: can they make a playoff run?

Dunedain (3-5) d. Jc's Evil Empire (5-3)
42-37
D is for Dunedain. It’s also for defense, which is what Dunedain employed this week. A combined 27 lead them to victory over the Empire’s leading duo of Vanderjagt (10) and Vick (8). Not the most exciting game in the world, but Dunedain manages to put themselves in the playoff race.

FIRSTforce (6-2) d. Akshar Did It (4-3-1)
76-31
Yeah, so FIRSTforce clearly won this time. ADI really had no opportunity to put up a fight. Only three of their players scored more than 3 points, with Tab Perry (who?) taking their top score with 9. The Force had a bunch of high scores this week, among these being Carolina (18), Rackers (15), Bulluck (14), and Rudy Johnson (10). And, just to show you the theme of this game, FIRSTforce’s QB scored 1, and it was still 2 more than ADI’s.

Team THRUST (4-4) d. Coco's Monkeys (4-4)
62-28
This was another case of the defeated party being unable to put up a fight. The Monkeys best score was Mike Peterson’s 11. Nobody else cleared 5, and there were three zilches. That’s not going to be a winner, even if your opponent (Team THRUST in this case) doesn’t play a very good game. They did, BTW. Heck, their defensive 28 equaled the Monkeys’ entire score. Add Stephen Davis’s 14, and this game is easily Team THRUST’s.

Cooney Quest (4-4) d. Your Ad Here (7-1)
35-29
Yeah… so when QC Elite outscores this entire game (along with four other teams, one in a loss), you know it was bad. YAH has been trying to lose games all season, and Cooney was playing with the demoralized Packers as their primary scorers. Cooney easily wanted this one more though, getting enough scoring with the Green Bay DEF’s 9, Branch’s 8, and Sellers’s 7. The hurting YAH could only respond with a Randy Moss 7. The best thing to come out of this game was the fact that the Quest desperately needed to win, and they did.

west coast style (3-5) d. IwillCrushYou (3-4-1)
61-57
I seriously thought this would go the other way due to WCS losing Owens. But the rest of their team stepped up to the plate. Marvin Harrison led the way with 18. Byron Leftwich threw for 13 points. And everybody scored, no matter how little. IWCY had more high scores, including Larry Johnson’s 19, Hasselbeck’s 12, and Portis’s 10. But they also had two hurt players and a bye, giving them three 0’s. It cost them a shot at .500 this week.

I've got an interesting favor to ask: now I know what changed the score of the Klowns/Voltaic game (it was Cincinnati losing a point, if that helps), but if anybody could figure out what changed the score of the X-Cats/Canes game (I believe it was with the X-Cats gaining 2-4 points, but don't quote me on that), it'd be appreciated.

And here I was, about to laugh at the fact that there were two teams at .500 after playing an even number of games. But alas, it wasn't meant to be. The plus side is that the X-Cats are closing in on Dunedain's tie record. It's going to be at least two weeks before anybody can clinch a playoff spot, but Nor Cal is the closest right now. Nobody is eliminated yet either. I wasn't joking about the Elite making a playoff run. They can do it because if they win out with a decent fantasy score, they'd be at .500 (and that's possible too because they only have one opponent in the top half of the league left on their schedule), and I have a feeling that the .500 bracket is going to see a few playoff teams this year. And finally, you heard it here first: I'm calling that the currently third place Your Ad Here will not make the playoffs. They're hurting, have a low fantasy score, and have four of the top six teams on their schedule.

Anyhow, thanks for bearing with me through Yahoo's score changing, and see you next week.

I was so PO'd after last week. ALL of my players underperformed and I lost to a guy who barely maintains his roster. There's no way I should've lost the game! All I needed was a pair of tackles from Freeney and I couldn't even get one stupid tackle out of him !!!!
I was so mad I wanted to punish someone by cutting them.
I guess getting a tie is OK but not by very much.
