Sticker decals on assemblies??
I haven't been able to figure it out and I was wondering if it is possible. Our team puts the logos of our sponsors on our robot with stickers...I was wondering how to get images of those logos onto the assembly in Inventor. Is this possible?

Re: Sticker decals on assemblies??
When I took the Introduction to Engineering Design class my sophmore year I know for one of our projects we had to import images onto our models. That was a couple of years ago so I don't remember it well enough how to tell you how to do it, but I know it is possible.

Yup, you bet you can!
Not sure what version you have? Anyway under the Panel Bar you should see "Insert Image" To make sure the Panel Bar is open go to View then Toolbar then just make sure "Panel Bar" is selected. You should see this only if you are in sketch mode. So basically once you have a 2d object you can size the image/s and move them however you want. Things can get a bit more complicated if you have a 3D part. Once you have a solid object you can use the "Decal" feature to wrap images around parts. I suggest using the tutorial/help pages for that. ;) |
