If George is MC, then I suppose I should finally do what I was supposed to do LAST year at Robot Rodeo and do play-by-play, eh?

(On the bright side, now I'm half-decent at it after The Capital Clash.)

Though something tells me registration is going to be a bit of a stampede for teams in the region, as the other closest offseason besides Mayhem is Capital Clash.

I just realized that one of our main fundraiser for the year is on that same day. (golf tournament) So I hate to say it but it is pretty much impossible for 1251 to go. :(

There will be plenty of spots, there is only 45 teams in florida, any other rodeos havent even gotten 20, so not worried about it.

The region I was thinking about was the South East (FL, GA, AL, MS, SC)

I received this e-mail this morning. This is from the official desk of Dan Welsh.

Teams, just a reminder of the Robot Rodeo, on October 22 at Freedom High School in South Orlando. At this event, there will be some terrific high school robotics teams, competing in the 2005 FIRST Robotics Competition game, on an official FIRST field. Also, there will be plenty of time for you to meet with other teams and share ideas and successes, as you build your teams for the upcoming year. So be at Freedom High School at 8:30 AM on Saturday Oct 22, we will have demonstrations and matches all day until about 6 pm. See you there ....

***RSVP!!!***

Yes. I know there was no pre-registration, and I know everyone has been told to "pay at the door" which still applies... But we need all teams that are going to RSVP so we know how many tables should go in the pits etc. Here is the official e-mail from Dan Welsh today

Teams, please let me know if you are attending the Rodeo on Oct 22 at Freedom High School ..... we want to make sure we have pit space and practice slots for all the teams available. Also, if you have a head count on the approx number of team members who will attend, that will be helpful also.

Just reply to me or to Gordon Andrews at Freedom HS Team 1402 ....

My email is: dan.welsh@disney.com

Gordon is at andrewg@ocps.net

See you on the 22nd ....

Dan .

P.S., remember the team registration fee is $100 per team, just bring it to the event. We appreciate your helping with the field costs, etc etc.
