[OCCRA]: Programming
I knew at the programming and controls workshop there was talk of posting the modifications to the default code from the advanced workshop here. Just curious if someone is still planning on doing that.

Re: [OCCRA]: Programming
Yup, i have already modified are code to use potentiometers, i just need a robot to test and debug the code with

Hmmm I was under the impression that both the presentations made at the workshops and the code would be posted in th white papers. Please correct me if I am wrong. I'm sure that people just haven't had time to post yet. I guess I'm just way to excited about our robot, but then again who wouldn't be, we are rolling.

Re: [OCCRA]: Programming
Reminder: Programming is NOT required and the OCCRA inspectors or support staff will not assist a team in de-bugging their program at an event. You are on your own if you mess with the code.
Also, teams are not required to share their code modifications. I would caution a team in using anothers code without fully understanding what the results will be and how the code affects the robot performance. To all rookie teams: Programming will not give a team a significant advantage in the OCCRA competition. You will be just as competitive with the stock code as all teams are required to use 4 joysticks - un modified, and may not add switches, buttons or creations to the stock specifications given for the operators station. |

Re: [OCCRA]: Programming
We are having a problem with our robot, and we believe it may be in our controls. As we are driving the robot locks up, and doesnt move as if it were not recieving a signal. The two pmw and relay lights are constantly flashing red and we are not sure of the cause of this or if it is related to the sudden stopping of our robot. We had two (old) fuses blow and we replaced them so that could be a source of a problem but it doesnt seem as though that is it, none of them has blown since, or got hot. We have also looked for problems in the OI, the wiering, controls etc. Anyone with a tip would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Re: [OCCRA]: Programming
i reallt cant tell you much without seing your robot but, if you are using the 2005 first default code and have not removed the "CMU code" all the red PWM cables will flash other than that check to make sure your radio's are connected properly .....ooohhhhh last year at the occra championships our robot became jurky and we checked everything we could think of and after the compition i went into the electronics box and our main ground wire had came undone ... hope i can help
