and the chuck means nothing to us right? as we have the threaded end? |
Re: [OCCRA]: Dewalt Motor Specs
im no motor expert (although i try to be) but as far as i know there isnt any formula to calculate the torque and rpms of the motor in reverse also another note:
the 450 rpms is for the motor in 3rd gear 1400, 2nd (what my team uses) and 1800 3rd and correct you dont worry about the chuck but word of advise is to make sure the bolt is tightened atleast after every match because last year the bolt holding the sproket to the drill came off and we were out for the entire compition because of other allignment issues this caused |

how did you guys mount the motor last year? this year we have tried the square aluminum sandwich idea. its AMAZING compared to the Ubolt we used last year |
Re: [OCCRA]: Dewalt Motor Specs
yup yup we used the u bolt last year but are going to attempt the aluminum sandwich this year as well , yes we did put locktite on the clockwise thread but the motor that is constanly going in reverse pulls against the bolt (i think) and it can weaken the locktite and thats what happened to us
