[OCCRA]: Grommets and more

Yet another question, this one about grommets. Are we allowed to use those little brass grommets (available at any hardware store) on thin plastic sheeting or fabric so that we can use string to fasten it to other parts of the robot, or would we have to make our own makeshift ones?

Also are we allowed to singe nylon to prevent fraying through the use of a small flame?

Answer:
Grommets are fasteners. Rules of fasteners apply.

Answer:
You may heat the nylon to prevent fraying. However, you may NOT do so at a competition as no open flames are allowed.
