TIMS System - Can you login 9-26-2005?
I was just going to try and login to TIMs and update some more information about the team, but now TIMS says my login and password do not exisit....just great! I just logged in on 9-22-2005 and updated the team information. Is anyone else having this problem?
Currently it's 9-26-2005 and about 8:46PM EST, and TIMs won't let me in :-( |

Yeah, I can't get in either. I think they're having server overload.

More then likely they are doing some last minuet work on the system and making sure its not going to crash when 700+ teams try to register at once. If it continues to be a problem i suggest you contact FRC Team Support, by calling 18008718326 option 0, or by emailing team support at frcteams[at]usfirst.org .

All should be fine now. I just logged in and was able to view my rookie team information. Get that preregistration done before the rush for event registration on Thursday.

From what I have been hearing from the teams I am in touch with, the rookies are not having a problem. It is the veteran teams going in to update. Let FIRST know if this is happening.

We had a problem even getting to our information (it wasn't there) on the 22nd then we couldn't even get into TIMS till today. Now it seems to be working.

Yesterday, our main contact was unable to get in, so I tried getting in, and I got to the screen that said we had two teams (1675 and a "new team"). When I clicked on edit info for 1675, it waited awhile, and then told me I was a "Bad User", warned me to not change the URL, and then dumped me out of the system. I have not heard whether our main contact was able to get into the system today and I have not tried myself. I hope to hear something later tonight.
Glad we wern't the only ones having troubles, but its scary this close to open registration. Kev |

The most helpful thing that everyone can do today is to send to FIRST, the exact order of events, the exact error message. Each team is allowed one main contact, who will go in and update the record. Each team is also allowed one alternate (the alternate's contact data is entered by the main contact) who can access the system. If you are not the main contact or the alternate, you will not be allowed into the TIMS. |

If you see something strange or get an error message, sending a screenshot of the screen is sometimes helpful to the person trying to troubleshoot what is going wrong. To do a screenshot, click on ALT-PrintScreen button, then paste it into your e-mail message.

Once again, thanks to so many of you who have logged on to the TIMS (Team Information Management System) and pre-registered or tried to pre-register. As many of you have experienced, there are some growing pains with the transition to the new TIMS and translating some of the data. When you are on the TIMS home page, read the "click here for a description of the registration process". The worksheets will help you collect all the information needed to get through the process. There are some common issues that are occurring. Do not press the "Back" button! This may corrupt your data. Instead use the "Back to Team Summary Page" link on the page. If you are an existing team, do not log on as a new team and enter the information. If you have done this, you need to contact FIRST. If you are an existing team, but a new main team contact and you do not access to the email of the previous main contact for the team, you need to contact FIRST.
