Re: initial regional registration

I got into the TIMS and realized that we had some issue with the alternate contact information and something with our sponsor information. ::Groan:: Are both of these absolutely needed to sign up? the main contact information is fine. When I went to edit the information I then got that "This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. (my)" error.

Fun stuff I tell ya what.

As for not being shut out of our first regional... I have yet to have a year where my team hasn't ended up on the waiting list of its first regional. It always has turned out okay in the past though... but hoping not to go through the same headache.

We're registered for the Long Island Regional.

I got the email confirmation from FIRST.

Barry -
The error message you got is pretty standard across the board. I think we all saw that one at one time or another. It's not specific to the Alternate Contact update. Just keep refreshing and retrying.

1213 is in at GLR too - only took 50 minutes - sometimes the extra bandwidth and the .mil address comes in handy!

I got to the 85% on confirm regional then it told me that my login info didn't exist. I'm not quite sure if we're registered or not...

So I guess the .br doesn't help much - 383 is registered to Boston, only took me 2 hours :p

After a few hours of hit and miss, we are in for Boilermaker. Things are appearing to move quicker on the TIMS site now.

Barry, the short answer is yes.
It is necessary to enter your alternate and at least your school partner. Lots of help screens and many pages of instructions linked on the home page, explaining this.

FIRST only requires a School/Youth organization contact be specified as a "Partner Organizations" for pre-registration. Simply add a School/Youth organization contact on the "Partner Organizations" screen to complete this section.

You will have until December 2, 2005 to add additional partners and complete "Partner Organizations" information to be included in the program book.

If you have any questions, please read the help screens first. If you still have questions, please contact Team Support at frcteams@usfirst.org or (800)-871-8326.

Hang in there everyone.

WOW....I have been trying to register team 70 for 1 3/4 hours. Just got back into the system and completed everything in about 30 seconds. I hope everything is fixed and registration goes that quick for the rest of the teams that are not in yet. Maybe that was just 30 seconds of luck.

Yeah I had about 30 seconds where I was able to get logged on, fix the alternate contact problem (one box was unchecked), stuck enough information in about the school, hit ok, and then back to the Baduser error. I am getting closer!
