Syringe comes close enough, when I say it out loud.

I guess it could really depend on where you're from if there is a word that rhymes with orange. Accents can make a big diff. when you're speaking.

Andrew Dahl 24-07-2001 12:03

I can attest that there are no remotely good rymes with orange
even with a accent they fall flat

if you just take part of the word orange there are a lot of words that rhyme. there are a lot of words that rhyme with o-r-a-n like: KoRn, worn, horn, porn, sworm.

EddieMcD 24-07-2001 15:02

There are no rhymes for orange. the same holds true for month, silver, & purple.

no words rhyme...i literally spent 4 and a half hours with some friends looking for one once. and plus accents wont make a difference cuz the accent will affect how you say orange and how you say the other word in the same way.

I must tell you that I'm laughing at you right now. It really is funny that you actually spent that much time looking for a word that rhymes with orange. Hey Eddie, who did you say has no life? Maybe you do have a life Mike, but the word lame-o comes to mind. (I mean that jokingly)

mike o'leary 24-07-2001 21:31

someone said there was no rhyme. i was determined to prove him wrong...what can i say? and the only reason i stopped looking for one is cuz school ended.

There are no PERFECT rhymes to the word orange. However, and depending on your accent, there are some slant rhymes. A slant rhyme would be something that rhymes only if you say it the right way, or depending on your pronunciation. As for silver and purple? I know there was a song once that rhymed the word purple. it goes like this...

Well Roses are Red
And Violets are Purple
Sugar is Sweet
And So is Maple Surple

In other words, he created a word. So basically anything could rhyme, but no REAL words.

mike o'leary 25-07-2001 14:18

purple...
what about girbel or maple or grapel?

Brandon Martus 25-07-2001 14:24

or Burple (tm)

remember those?

Burple
Basically it was a powdered drink mix in an accordian style bottle. You stretched out the bottle before adding water. The noise of expanding the bottle and the chugging noise it made when poured sounded like a burp. It was probably out around 1987-1988.

Actually Carolyn, I learned that in 8th grade English, thank you very much.
