is there a way to get the sproket off of the drill motor?

?? the bolt is reeverse thread.. so you turn clockwise to loosen.... and then the sprocket itself should be regular thread. if you used locktite.. which i reccomend, it might be stiff. but how are you haveing trouble getting it off?

Stevie... Are you referring to the gear on the shaft coming directly from the motor itself?

No, I am talking about the sprocket on the outside of the transmission. I think it is a nine tooth sprocket. I want to take that off to put this thing on there so I can put 3/8" shaft.
