Has anyone ever watched Godzilla fights the Giant Moth or Godzilla on Monster Island? Those two were pretty bad even for Godzilla movies. |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
when we need that little extra something we turn it to 11,
why not make ten the highest, because it goes to 11 i think that was how it was said in spinal tap that movie was awsome |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
Spinal Tap asks the retorical question "how much more funny could a movie be?"
and the answer comes jumping out at you: "none!" |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
I saw parts of Spinal Tap and liked it. It's a decent movie.
ALSO I'M SO MAD MORTAL KOMBAL: ANNIHILATON IS ON THAT LIST. And at the bottom nonetheless!!!! WHAT THE HECK. I loved that movie, and I love Mortal Kombat. Those movies ROCKED. /End. But I'm with Heidi, I love lots of bad movies, From Justin to Kelly, Crossroads (OMG yes I liked the movie Britney Spears made. Kill me.), Napoleon Dynamite, and others I can't think of. But really....MORTAL KOMBAT IS AWESOME. /End |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
"This Is Spinal Tap" is an absolute classic! I saw it when it originally came out in theatres, and it was a riot. But then I saw it again when it came out on video, and I watched it at my mother's. She was one of those that was convinced that it was a real documentary about a real band. I haven't let her in on the joke yet (and that was 15 years ago). :)
Anyway, back to the topic of the thread. How about "Hercules in New York" for a real mood-killer. This was Arnold Schwarzenegger's first movie, and he is titled as "Arnold Strong." The director thought his accent was so thick that it would never be understood by American audiences, so they did a voice-over for all his lines. Now that we all know what he actually sounds like, this makes the whole thing hilarious - until you realize just how bad the film actually is, and then it is just sad. -dave |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
they really should release that movie with Arnolds real voice put back in - wouldnt that be a riot?
a Greek god with an austrian accent? "Aphroditie is calmning - shes calming here and shes going to kill us awl - we have to get owt, nhow!" BTW, if you have the DVD you MUST watch Tap with the band commentary track turned on - almost rates as a sequel. |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
I cant believe you guys havnt posted House of 1000 Corpses
By far, the worst movie ever made. I wasted time watching that, and i tell everyone that its not worth seeing. |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
2005's King Kong strikes me as one of the worst movies of all time. I was there with some friends and we all were about to go buy some candy to throw at the screen or ask the managers for our money back because by far that is one of the most horrible, boring, slowest 3 hour movies I have ever seen.
It's not even worth considering IMO. If you thought Neapolitan Dynamite was bad, you should thank god you haven't seen King Kong yet! |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
For somebody who doesn't know or understand the music scene in the late 70s/early 80s, This Is Spinal Tap would be very slow, dull, and confusing. There are so many inside jokes.
As far as who it's lampooning, the Stonehenge/midget thing could be construed as poking fun at Jethro Tull or Aerosmith, but primarily Black Sabbath; there were numerous Led Zeppelin references (I am a golden god, the Red Snapper, bowing the guitar, etc); the Smell the Glove album cover was inspired by Whitesnake; Queen, Motley Crue, and Def Leppard are among the others blasted. Pure genius, but without context, pure drivel. And the only things worse than Napoleon Dynamite are Titanic, The Whole Ten Yards, and Saving Silverman. Finally, while The Whole Nine Yards was fantastic, TWTY was horrible (with apologies to Kevin Pollack). |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
I can't really think of any awful moves I've seen lately, but there are a few underrated movies that have come out that are awesome. Idiocracy is one of them - Mike Judge's movie, starring Luke Wilson and Mya Rudolph of SNL. Really quite good, about a guy who gets frozen and wakes up 500 years in the future where intelligence has dropped significantly and, even though he was considered average in his time, he is the smartest man alive in 2505.
Another one is Smokin' Aces. If you like a shoot em' up action movie, go see this ASAP. Lastly, if you like corny cheesy B movies, rent a classic - Army of Darkness. Bruce Campbell is a god among actors. |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
Time Machine
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0268695/ This was the worst movie ever created, ever, anywhere, period. |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
Yo this is TdorTheBnator (Danny) and the worst movie ever created was a movie called Bubba Ho-Tep. Never watch that movie. And I mean ever.

Re: Worst Movie Ever
The first (and only so far) time I saw the movie Rent I thought it sucked.
I bought a copy of it last week though. Why? You may ask, would I buy a copy of a movie I thought sucked? idk. I'm always up for trying something twice, I was sitting in front of a speaker I couldn't hear a darn thing out of cause it was semi-blown at the time so I couldn't hear, thus could not understand half the dialogue, and if I really don't like it after seeing it a second time, I only paid 8 bucks for it, and know some people I can readily sell it to who loved it. lol I'll have to report back when I watch it the second time. |
Re: Worst Movie Ever
Worst movie I've ever seen is To Kill a Mockingbird. The book was even worse (probably just because it took me longer to get through). When my mom found out I had to read it for school, she made me watch the move. Then I had to watch it agian in class.
A lot of the other movies my mom makes me watch aren't that great either. Most of them are musicals made 20-30 years before I was born. |

To Kill a Mocking bird is considered not only a classic in literature but also in film. Both the book and the movie are some of the most significant works on race in America, and even on parenting. It is perhaps the greatest performance by Gregory Peck, and he had plenty of great roles. The movie resulted in several academy awards and golden globes, and many more nominations. The film adaptation is good, but the book is much more nuanced. It is the quintessential American Novel (and Haper Lee the most noted literary 'one hit wonder). I've read it three times, and each time I notice another little detail- I don't think there is a wasted word in the book. I can understand how it might be arduous to read in school in small little bits over weeks, but I really hope you come back to it again later on. It really is one of the most important books you'll ever read. -Andy A. |
