WRRF November 12th workshop announcement
The following message is from Ceal Craig, WRRF workshop program manager:
-------------------------------------------------------------- As we plan the next WRRF workshops for Nov-12 at SCU (same place, same time), any feedback on the Oct-22 workshops? (please provide to cealcraig@druai.com) Please write me privately vs. clogging the forum with responses. We have a few more rooms for Nov-12. So far, we have added two more workshops: Managing a Team (team conflict management skills, brainstorming techniques, etc.); Using 3Dmax (Team 114 & 115 members are running this one). In addition, we'll run Electronics again, and likely the Physics and Strength of Materials again (Warning: these are both meant for students with some knowledge of physics to start). We would love to have some workshop (s) on software, but so far, we don't have an instructor. SO, if you know anybody, have them make contact with me. Any other subjects of interest? Anyway, more details will come out mid-next week. Pre-registration did help us out; we'll have the labels better organized next time and with another volunteer or two, we will likely start on time. I will be providing you all a template to fill in if possible (Excel). Last but not least: thanks to Jeff Ota (our host representative from the SCU College of Engineering); Harry Garland (electronics); Eugene Brooks (Physics); Tim Craig (Strength of Materials); and Ken Leung (Registration). Looking forward to hearing from you all. Cheers, Ceal Craig |
Re: WRRF November 12th workshop announcement
At the last WRRF workshop, I was asked to make the slides of the
Physics session available on the net. I indicated that I would post them to the white papers section on this web site. It turns out that the files for the slides are two large to post to the white papers section. As a result of this difficulty, the slides for the workshop have been made available at: http://www.srvhsrobotics.org/eugeneb...botPhysics.pdf The "speakers notes" view is available at: http://www.srvhsrobotics.org/eugeneb...ysicsNotes.pdf Some slides have been added since the presentation at the workshop. Other useful documents can be found in the same directory by opening http://www.srvhsrobotics.org/eugenebrooks and looking to see what is there. |
Re: WRRF November 12th workshop announcement
Team 114 will not be helping out with the 3dsmax workshop. I'm the lead animator and the one who would be helping. A teammate volunteered me without asking my consent, and I have emailed Ceal Craig declining to participate. sorry for the confusion.

REMINDER: WRRF November 12th workshop announcement
Folks, we don't have too many registrations for Saturday, Nov-12, workshops. Only a handful of teams have responded.
So, we will likely offer each workshop only ONCE (vs. twice as planned) that day. We have four NEW workshops (different from the Oct-22 workshops), two on software/controller, one on 3Dsmax, and one on project/team planning for success. Unless I get a bunch of signups on Friday... :D and we need to offer these twice... Last, but not least, I truly now have engraved in my head that Eileen Laitinen is from Team 115, sorry for confusion and such. :ahh: Looking forward to seeing you all at Santa Clara University for some great workshops! The corrected address for the notes from the Physics portion of the WRRF workshop is:
http://srvhsrobotics.org/eugenebrooks/RobotPhysics.pdf The "speakers notes" view is available at: http://srvhsrobotics.org/eugenebrook...ysicsNotes.pdf Some slides have been added since the presentation at the workshop. Other useful documents can be found in the same directory by opening http://srvhsrobotics.org/eugenebrooks and looking to see what is there. The www. seems ephemeral, Sorry... |
