Okay, So, I'm watching the Palmetto webcast on Thursday. As they're loading the robots onto the field (Practice Round #15) I spot a robot that is using a LAWN CHAIR for their ball dump mechanism! How awesome is that!?! Check out team 1284 if you're roaming around the pits. I've love to see some upclose pictures of the mechanism.

I'm here, I saw it, and I find it pretty funny. Just saw and talked to Billfred in the pits.

Good Luck and if you live in the Columbia, see you guys at 4:00 A.M. on live with Lucas!

OK, It just ended. The second from last match with 818 and 108 vs. ? and ? was great. I would say it was the most competitive match of the day.

We won the first match by 2.
They won the second match.

Overall, It was a good day.

Good Luck!

Re: Team 1249 Easter Egg Contest

1249: I found your easter egg within 20 seconds of going onto your site for the first time. The car, the mouse, the old music... Brilliant! I've just PM'd you with the location so you know I have actually found it, don't want to post it here as I don't want to ruin the fun for others.

Shame I'm on the other side of the Pond....

Re: Team 1249 Easter Egg Contest

I just flopped down in my bed a few minutes ago, and I won't be getting out of it anytime soon (read: until at least 3:00 AM).

1293 got off to a rough start this morning, in no small part because we're used to working where we work. (That's not normally the Colonial Center.) For two of our matches, we were sidelined with code issues. The other two, we were sidelined with battery issues. Made for a fun day, I'll tell you. (Especially that part at the end of getting the robot from inspection to the field for Live with Lucas tomorrow morning and getting out the door--while walking--in about a minute and a half.)

We've fixed a few things, and Chomp is working better than it was for it. I can't wait to see this thing in action for real.

And I just want the record to reflect it: We on 1293 are really sorry for the whack in autonomous we delivered to 1618 today during practice. Our driver and I went to check on them and apologize after the match, and everything seems to be alright. (Yes, I'll say it: Blame it on software.)

I'll try to grab a picture of it tomorrow. That's one of the cool bots.

How's everyone's day go? Team 95 has had quite a good day of practice matches and tweaking, a nice reversal from Manchester where we had software problems the entire time (knock on wood).

We found it the second we got the message.
I love how simple the page address is.

...and we are sorry for having to push you out of the way earlier today. We tried to push gently, and I think we succeeded in not hurting anything. (Note to everyone not here: They fell over right in front of the ramp, and we had to push them out of the way with 30 seconds left so our alliance could get onto the ramp.) Even the announcer said "...and team 1676 graciously pushes them away from the ramp..." (my emphasis)

I am the announcer, and I saw about 60 matches up close today with the best and most gracious teams in the nation Aiming High. The defense has been strategic, and I recall, there was only 1 high-hit called all day despite some matches ending with as many as four robots tipped over. The ramps have been quite a challenge.

It is a pleasure to see such camaraderie in the heat of competition. I am looking forward to a great Saturday.

It's all good in the hood. No damage done to us (ignoring ego ;))

We're struggling in certain areas--some things aren't quite going how we thought they would--but we've got three more matches tomorrow. Our kids have busted their collective butts the past two days, and I'm optimistic that we can still pull out our best regional on the field to date.

Just remember: You can't spell D5 Robotics without the D!*
*this is what happens when you've been up and moving for sixteen straight hours: somewhat cheesy slogans. remember, sleep is good.

I Hate to have to correct you but team 818 finished in 7th today, which puts us n a good and bad position. We schould be 2ndor 3rd, but power to our launchers waslowaered and that's why we didn't perform that well in the morning.

Good Luck,
Tomasz Bania

My apologies, I grabbed a snapshot of the scoring screen as well left to go to the social. I discover a short time ago that the scoring info was out of date when I grabbed the photo.
