10 things that tell you if you've been in FIRST too long (courtesy of 677):

1. You know all the words to the Vengaboys Party Album
2. Red Bull and coffee are food groups
3. You start incorporating you mentors' mannerisms into you own everyday life
4. Your mentors no longer feel bad about calling you names
5. 3 AM becomes an early time to go to bed
6. When "CAR" does not refer to a moving vehicle
7. When one of your team members is considered a possession of VEX
8. When baked goods are the preferred form of currency
9. You spend Easter Sunday inside Home Depot looking for the PERFECT pair of safety glasses
10. You know stories about your mentors' childhoods complete with song and dance

Here's another- When your parents are talking about your uncle Victor and you ask which CIM he is controlling.
Long story... but true.

When your diet now consists of, bagels, doritos, and coca-cola...

Yea pretty much when building season starts, the parents have to bring the food and pretty much they bring chips, with sodas, and if no parent brings any food. We're stuck with bagels donated by some sponsor we have. And yes sometimes we have to have...left-over bagels -.-

When you spent the last three days before shipping with the team completing the robot in your own garage.

( this actually happened to me last year, my garage has yet to recover )

Working on the robot.
Shopping for parts needed for building robot.
Going to chief delphi forums to see other peoples robot.
Discussing the progress of the robot during dinner.
Dreaming about the robot.

DISCLAIMER: some car keys have a chip in the plastic & if you cut it off or drill through it the key will no longer work in your car & dont ask me how I know this!

The night custodian and security guard at school know you by your first name.

You show up to school on a snow day to work on the robot.

Re: You know you've been in FIRST too long...

when your walking through Boston and suddenly see a building that was built is 1733 and you start screaming at your son who is the actual team member about it and he grabs the cell phone and asks some stranger to take a picture of us standing next to the sign on the wall.

When you spend a rather large amount of money on a car and then insist that extra tie downs be installed in the back to strap down the robot in a way that looks like a seat belt and then you put the robot into the van buckle it in and tuck a warm blanket around it so it does not get cold. i mistakenly thought it might be bad to get the electronics cold so i wanted to help. little did i know. *shrugs*

When you can line a wall with empty 2 litter bottles of mountain dew code red and duct tape and .... the wall is full and there are less then 10 kids on the team.

When your mom makes posts on chiefdelphi.com just because she is sitting "supervising" and forgot the question she was to look up for the team. now mom how many cylinders can we install and still be "legalish"

We actually had disney sons from nearly all the movies playing today... And even more strangely none of our female members were there...

It was interesting seeing guys complain about hitting next halfway through the Mulan soundtrack.

This is entirely true....

Another one to add;
You lose track of what day it is during long code-a-thons. Our programmers and myself (former programmer turned design/fab/assembly) definitely did this this weekend. (9AM to 5AM and then waking up at 8 AM. rinse, repeat)
