Wow, its about time.

Amanda is one of the coolest, hardest working young ladies I have ever seen.
Aren't you running some company by now?

Amanda,
Congratulations on your UFH award!
This is totally random since I’ve never met you, but as a west coaster, your brilliance has reached us all the way here. You inspire us all to do our best, and as a wannabe mentor, you inspire me to do all I can for my team’s students. This award is much deserved.

Hooray!! The unsung singer of Unsung Heroes is at last herself sung! Congratulations Amanda from all of us in the cradle of the American industrial revolution, Troy, NY, and especially from me. You are wonderful and I know how much FIRST means to you and you DEFINITELY deserve the recognition. I am glad that I know you.

Congrats Amanda,
You truely do deserve this!

Over the years you have truely become someone that I consider to be a friend and a personal hero, your drive and determination are something that is truely awe inspiring. The amount of blood, sweat, and tears i've personaly witnessed you put into FIRST has constantly been something that has driven me to try and do more and you've been a shining example of what FIRST can do to peoples lives.
It has been an honor to work with you on so many different projects, and its always a pleasure to hang out with you, even when we end up going to 6 wendys in one night instead of going dumpster diving like i wanted to..

I really cant say enough so i will leave it with once again saying, CONGRATS!

Congratulations Amanda!

Though our interactions have been few and far between, I see the impact of your endeavors whenever I browse through CD. It is obvious by what I have personally witnessed as well as all the kind words here that you are a tremendous role model in the FIRST community. My hope is that FIRST and all of its participants can continue to benefit from your inspiration and enthusiasm for years to come. Dedication to FIRST gets more challenging as life gets more complicated but the rewards are SOOOOO worth it! Like you didn't already know that?! :)

Congratulations on receiving the recognition you clearly deserve!

Re: UFH: Amanda Morrison

Oh my, this sure has been an UFH winner that I have been waiting for, for a long long time. Amanda Morrison has more passion for this program and desire for giving back to the students to allow them to have a much better life than anybody I know.

I've got many many wonderful stories about Amanda (some of which I can not post on here without fear of losing an arm), but one of my favorites has to be the first time I met her. It was at the 2003 IRI and Amanda and her team had come in with what looked like a bunch of metal. Andy Baker had told me there would be this girl and some kids who may need help with getting their robot together. Several times he asked me if I had spoken with her yet, and I said I had been busy but in reality I didn't really feel like going over there to try to help some random girl who I didn't care about. So I grabbed Clark Gilbert and we went over there to see if they needed any help with anything. I introduced myself and we offered tools and kids to help if needed. Amanda then shook my hand, didn't look at me and quickly and extremely quietly and shyly said "Hi my name is Amanda Morrison" then hurridly scurried back into the corner where they were working. All I thought was that this girl was REALLY weird and kinda freaky, little did I know this same girl would soon become somebody I looked up to and would refer to me as her "right hand man."

Seeing first hand what Amanda continues to do in FIRST is one big reason why I still have the drive to give back to all of those students who may have not had the opportunities like myself.

For you young ladies in FIRST who want to look up to someone, Amanda is the one! She works hard and strives for perfection and doing what is best for all. She sure has done wonders keeping my butt out of trouble (at least not has much trouble as I could be in) and making sure I don't do something stupid.

Amanda, congratulations. You are my Unsung FIRST Hero. :)

Great job Amanda and congratulations for all you've done to contribute to this program and community!

I've never had a chance to meet you personally till the Rochester Ruckus and I'm glad I had the chance to hang with you. We'll run into each other again I'm sure but once again many thanks for your support from all of us here in Rochester, NY.
