2006 game poll #3 (more or less emphasis on autonomous)

Ok, with less than 50 days until kickoff, now's the time to put your VOTE wherever your keyboard fingers will lead you. Here are 10 things we all are dying to know about the game based on the rumors, hints, etc being scattered around the CD site.

I'm for more autonomous- It requires more thinking on the part of the programmers, and the designing the AI can be done as a team. For the most part. Okay, not that much.

From the stuff I have heard about the programming stuff, it will be more-less drag and drop (correct me if I'm wrong) so I would almost bet there will be more emphasis on it, but not more then human driver mode.

I definitely agree that autonomous is very important, and a longer period would be good, but if they do in fact extend it, I could only hope they extend the entire match. Autonomous is the learning end, but the human control is so much better than the days of FLL, where winning depended on so much sitting behind a computer applying you ideas to the robot, rather than trying to wrap your mind around the robot in FRC.
As for problems with battery life during say, a four minute match, I can't see a problem. Someone on CD awhile ago said that three matches should be able to be played easily before changing the battery, very correctly.
