In a second query to a question in sanddrag's link, is autocad included in addition to inventor, or just inventor this year?

Our team got it... but the install seems a little... well, tricky. I pick a single lisense, and it wants me to make it a network lisense. so I do that, and it won't sync up with the fabled FLEXnet lisense server... anyone else have some trouble with this? Anyone who can help would be much appreciated... PM's or emails to craigih@pacbell.net would be even more appreciated.

I started a thread discussing this yesterday, because I'm having the exact same problem.

We got ours on Wednesday and can only install 3D Studio Max on our video computer because it's the only one that reads DVDs (Autodesk seems to assume that everone has a DVD on their computer, when we have teams in FIRST that can barely afford to simply exist much less get a top line computer every time they make a new version of their programs. Way to go Autodesk).

We've got ours, but some of the CDs were cracked :( . We've sent away for some new ones.

yeah, about max 8, There is a card in the box that has a website where you can order CDs of MAX. We got 5 free copies of the software, 1 per licence. Alternatively, if the computers you have are networked, copy the dvd using the one computer to a shared folder and install on the other computers from there. Just make sure to delete it when you are finished.

Inventorwise, the inventor guy on my team can't get it to work either. it gets abut 50% done and says something like "rolling back installation". Then the progress bar goes backward! We think his laptop is possessed, and is rejecting the shiny goodness of Inventor.
