What's the best free photo sharing site?
 

So far I have seen many people use photobucket, which I'm not real impressed with

Flickr, which looks like it has more features than I need ( but does have tagging which I used tonight to check other pics from the Macy's Day Parade which was cool)

and some others which names escapes me now.

Anyone who has these kinds of sites care to critique them??

Positives, Negatives, and the like??

Also, wanna offer a suggestion for a free photo sharing site???

I have our team's gallery I upload my FIRST pics here: http://www.team237.com/gallery

But I need something for my personal use until I get a website put together just to share photos for the time being.

(maybe max 100-200 at a time if needed - not an archive.. just after a big photo taking day (like today) for sharing and then I can take 'em off and put new stuff on if needed.)

Minimal advertising and pop-up intrusion is neccesarry since I hate that stuff.

I use Photobucket for blog hosting needs, Epson photogalleries for full galleries, they're pretty good, but the interface is slightly clunky. Flikr is good as well, but they do have a lot of random features.

For a photogallery a lot of my friends use either Yahoo Images or Webshots.

For photo hosting, I don't really know - only one I've heard of is photobucket. :)

would you be willing to pay a few bucks a month (like $5) for a few gigs of space and lots of options? If so then I could set it up on my site and you could register a website of your own and I could host it for you. Although currently hidden, I have about 6 sites I am hosting and so far noone has had any issues, its a dual 2ghz with about 1/3 TB networked to another ~TB

Does anyone know of a good, preferably free, site that I can upload the pictures on my phone to and share with people?

I am pondering something and if I do it, would these pictures be ones you want kept private or accessible by anyone?


I am thinking of setting up a website for free uploads but it'll be a limited to probably like 200 files ( unlimited size maybe, so you could possibly do data files too ). I guess I can have it with tagging capabilities and more, if people are interested in this let me know on here or PM me and give me ideas as to what other functions you want ( or need) it to have.

I'd want them accessible to anyone, similar to a webshots album. Maybe if i send a pix message to a certain e-address then it will put the picture in my album automatically.

I will look into this and see what would be needed to receive from a cell phone. I am working on, and mostly have an email server running that I could have it setup to send the mail to an open folder directly acessed from the web, or something simmilar. Give me a day or two.

Also, I'm not sure how services are setup now but there might be more of a cost to actually sending from your phone in the first place? I'm sure that if I get this email server working PROPERLY then it could post directly online and just post pictures you send it, then put some kinda password to prevent others from sending in junk.
