Looking Back: 2005 Game Hint
Ok So it's been 11.5 months since we found out the hint for Triple Play, now what I'm wondering is, what exactly did last years hint mean?

While wearing Amethyst colored glasses:
John Neun gave George Burns the following riddle:
"Look closely and you will see something between Pi, You and Me.": Ok I'm kinda confused on wear to go from here, What is Pi referring to? Is it telling us to look at the Tetrahedral shape of Amethyst? Well I hope this helps us crack the 2006 game hint, through the analysis of the 05 hint. |
Re: Looking Back: 2005 Game Hint
According to Dave, you and me make 2, and pi is 3.14(....) so between those two numbers is 3, the number of teams on each aliance.

Re: Looking Back: 2005 Game Hint
I thought Pi was also a baseball player who completed a triple play or something like that.

I remembered this post from the 2005 game hint thread and found it just now. It seems to cover everything.

Re: Looking Back: 2005 Game Hint
So, perhaps the key to unlocking the 2006 clue, when and if it is released, is researching every questionable and/or suspicious word and fragment within the clue.
Last year's was pretty darn good. I went too far into my research (titles of songs on the album "Sargeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band"). Perhaps I'll stay a bit closer to home this time around. Then again, if the mastermind reads this, then he'll make the answer to the clue as far out as the research I did last year, which would then defeat the purpose of me changing my research and clue unlocking patterns. :ahh: So, in that case, research is key. Just be careful. Game objects, player quantities, anything, will be fair game for encoding. |

Re: Looking Back: 2005 Game Hint
Ironically when people look way too deep they sometimes get the right answer.
Example: George Burns and John Neun got their triple plays against Cleveland. What's Cleveland famous for? Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. What's it shaped like? A pyramid. :p |
Re: Looking Back: 2005 Game Hint
The clues they give will never tell us the game. What it does is get us excited and thinking for kickoff. The maximum you could decrypt from the hint they gave us is 3 teams per side. Who would have thunk about tetrahedrons and making triple plays?
