Get better, Andy!!

Re: Team 330 member in hospital

Andy's doing great. He was moved from ICU this morning. He is off oxygen and all the constant monitors, and is left with just the IV now. His doctor says he can eat and drink and get up. (He hasn't had the nurses force him onto his feet yet, though that's probably not too far off.)

His doctor wants an MRI. Apparently, at some time yesterday, they had not been able to rouse him when they thought they should have been able to. And he is still supposed to be seen by an ophthalmologist because the intern was worried about some possible corneal abrasions. Assuming the MRI doesn't show anything bad, we expect Andy to be going home very soon.

Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers and well wishes.

Excellent news Greg, I'm so glad to hear he'll be fine.

Here's to a swift and complete recovery!

Re: Team 330 member... AT HOME!

The Ophthalmologist didn't find any problems with Andy's eye. It was going to be 3 days before they could get Andy in for an MRI at the hospital. His doctor decided that the MRI wasn't urgent enough to delay his release, so Andy came home today (Saturday), and he will be getting his MRI as an outpatient next week.

He's getting used to being on his feet again. And he is still pretty slow and unsteady, but there has been enormous improvement since his first attempt yesterday.

But the kicker is that after eating nothing for two days, and next to nothing yesterday, he ate a whole Double Double tonight in just about as much time as it usually takes him.

Thanks again for all your prayers. He will be looking forward to seeing all of you at LA, Phoenix and Atlanta.
