Team Mottos and Names 2005 Edition
 

Well December 2nd has come and passed and we've all had to decide team Motto's. So what did your team pick?

Kaizen Blitz named our robot Fushidara-Kou which loosely translates to Blitz Box. Our driver's traditionally have lead feet (or is it hands?). :D

Our Motto is Hajime! which translates to Go!



(For reference there was a 2004 Edition of this thread, but things like this can change from year to year.)

D5 Robotics is, as far as I know, sticking with "The simplest solution is usually the right one."

As for the robot name, I think TIMS still has us listed with Bob (our 2004 robot). I don't believe the team has arrived at a name yet, although I've heard some suggestions.

Team 1640 has not changed anything from last year...
Are we stuck with last year's motto, name, etc. now?

We got a team name for the first time ever. Sotobotics, soto being Japenese for outside. It also sounds nice and neutral to sponsors, which is a big improvement over the proposed Orange County Outlaws and prision jumpsuits from our penal system. The robot was named concentrated entropy, which makes very little sense and is sort of dumb, but is better than the B.E.A.S.T. (since we're not the The Beast) The motto is sort of strange, it's "Sometimes stuff just happens... oops." which I think sounds like we want to swear but can't.

QC Elite has decided to name their robot Alice.

Recently, the wife of one of our head engineers, Neil West, passed away from unknown causes in her sleep. This was a unanimous decision and was made to honor her. She was very involved with the team and gladly gave up her husband for 6+ weeks each year.

Our team motto has remained the same... "Dream, Believe, Achieve."

Hmmm.... mottos. We haven't really talked it over much as a team, but I'm thinking:
"Methinks it is like a weasel." From Hamlet, obviously. The senior class at CHS has to read it every year and somehow Hamlet worked himself into last build season.
