I was contacted by one of the members of Dean Simmons and the Kamens today. He told me to pass along a link to a picture that they've uploaded to their gallery

The biggest thing I see there is that it has a duration of 3min (about).. Provided this is infact real ;)

DS&KB are writing a song that will replace "You To As Well"?!?* Sweet!

It has the required 5 seconds of silence and is around the 3:13 minute mark, which was how long last years animation was.

It's too bad the pic isn't a bit higher resolution or we could extract the sound from the image.

Is that possible? I was under the impression you could only get the volume at a certain point from the bars, not the actual pitch of the notes being played. So while we may know they were playing a chord, we couldn't know what one, right?

if the resolution was good enough to see the actuall sine wave you could theoretically reconstruct the sound...but i don't know of any programs that can do it.

Yes in theory, if the resolution was high enough you would be able to get sound info, but we are talking thousands of times higher.
