CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #78
Or, the last caption contest before anyone here who is still sane goes insane.
Here's the scores: Code:

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #78
This probably wouldn't have happened if Ricky had worn his safety glasses over his eyes. If he had he might have noticed the finely printed letters on the lenses warning that "Sharp objects in front of lenses are closer than they appear".

269's Robot: This is what Ricky looked like before he got his front two teeth removed.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #78
The Cooney Robotics team suddenly realized that they still had a little more work to do on their "Robo-Dentist" system. It seems that when the "remove filling" command was activated, they had forgotten to have the robot use an existing orifice rather than make a new one...

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #78
When robots become the safety captains for your team, you know everyone is going to have to wear their saftey glasses correctly.

... but his fancy protective headgear was not enough
to stop the evil robot from sucking his brains out ... take two: "my thoughts to your thoughts my mind to your mind.... PAIN! PAIN! STRIPPED GEARS! BROKEN TEETH!" |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #78
Ricky demonstrates 269's heavy lifting ability. The team spent so much time on the robot it left little time for a design on the lift attachment. As this picture demonstrates, lifting a mentor with a little plastic head attachment causes a great deal of wear and tear on the mentor. Fortunately, doctors agree that with therapy, Ricky will be able to get his ears back to their original location without surgery.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #78
Entry 1: Ricky, thinking that if he kept his eyes closed he wouldn't need safety glasses. This did not keep him from running into robots and getting impaled though.
Entry 2: Team 269, in the hopes of getting Dean Kamen's attention, decided to use Ricky as bait. Here we see them inserting the hook. After the initial pain, Ricky didn't feel a thing as this was a part of his body he didn't use :) Entry 3: Team 269's robot, seeing a direct safety glass violation, decided to take matters in it own hands (hook) and put the glasses in their correct location. This caused Ricky great pain and some stitches but he will never forget the proper wearing of the glasses. The robot later self destructed because it caused harm to a human (Robotics law #1) |
