Re: Dear FIRST,

The West Coast does have an advantage, getting the rules several hours earlier, meaning they get that many more hours to ship the robot...Yes it makes a difference. I wouldn't mind them changing the times around too much, but sleep should definetly be included in the KOP for 07.

Also don't forget our friends in Israel, they got Kickoff at 5pm? was it? Any later and they'll be pushing 10pm.

Thanks,
The West Coast

It was in the evening this year, you just had to be in Israel. :p
Globalization has some interesting and unique challenges.

Re: Dear FIRST,

What about going neutral and having kickoff at 12am GMT?

Re: Dear FIRST,

I would make it later, but *not* becuase I cant get up early, but for the weather. It took my team 3x the time we expected to get to Novi, had we even expected bad weather, we would have planned an earlier departure, but the weather was suposed to be fine. Because it took so long, we missed everything and arrived just before the game was announced. If it was in the early afternoon or evening, atleast the roads will be in better condition if it snows or something. (It's some rule that in Michigan, it always snows/is icey for Robotics....kick off 2005 - snow, GLR - snow, coming home from Atlanta - snow, kick off 2006 - ice).

Re: Dear FIRST,

Why make kickoff any later than it should be? We all deserve the same amount of time until ship date, and the first day into the project is most crucial!

You're kidding, right?

3 hours over a 42 day period. That's 4.26 "extra" minutes per day. There's no way it makes a difference.

I'm sure that the two UK teams would love finding out all the full game information at 1:30am.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:11.
