Palm Dashboard Software

At GLR, we saw a team that was using a Palm for the dashboard. They said they had written a program and would be posting the code to the website. Who were they and has the code been posted?

i think over the summer i may try to make a palm dashboard device. it all depends on how much work i feel like doing :p. i still need to learn how to code palm pilots though (i know the basics of how they are coded ,i just need to learn more about it).

Wildstang used a Palm 505 for its dashboard program. We were at GLR, but I'm not sure if it's the one you saw. I didn't work on that project so I don't know if they'll release the code or not. The dashboard displayed the values from our crab pots, the joystick inputs, and the current draw from 8 (I believe) motors. If you want more info, you can post a message on our board at http://www.wildstang.com. The people who worked on that visit it more often than CD.

Another team that used a Palm in its controls was Team 148(?). The are a team from Texas with the covered wagon as their cart. Along with a custom circuit board the Palm recorded the power used by their motors during competition. The used the data to analyze the robot's performance after the match. I don't think it worked in real time, but I could be wrong.

Neal,
I was the guy with the Palm Dashboard you saw at GLR. I've been working on making our software into a generic Palm Dashboard and it's almost done. What you saw at GLR was designed for our custom circuit and wouldn't be very useful to anyone else. I sort of ran out of steam as the season ended, but since there's interest in it, I'll try to finish it off and get it posted (binaries and source code).
