Title Graphic Contest
 

Hey,

I've decided since in 18 days the new forums will be a year old, that it's time for a new graphic up top.

I've been messing around with PhotoShop, but can't get the creative juices flowing. I thought, who better to talk to than the creative FIRST artists who do the awesome animations.

Heres what we need:

Size: 450 x 60 pixels
Format: GIF
Colors: Black, Orange, and White

And it has to say somewhere:

'ChiefDelphi.com'
'#47'
and
'Pontiac Central High School & Delphi'

Submissions should be attached to a reply to this post.
I'll take them up until 6pm May 12th.
Maybe we'll have some sort of poll and then I'll use the winner's graphic as our next title graphic up top.

[edit]Oh.. and it's gotta kinda fit up there. I don't want to have to redesign that top part.. just want to plug that new graphic in place of the old one. :) [/edit]

EDIT: Should it still say "Delphi Automotive Systems" or just "Delphi" since they did change their name...:confused: :confused:

what is the RGB or hex code for this nifty shade of orange? (i don't feel like peaking at the source)

The color called out by the HTML code is FF8800 (R=255; G=136; B=0) I assume it's the same in the logo graphic.

I will only redesign the top area if they say vBulletin 3.0 is more than 3-4 months away.

They said 2nd Quarter, 2002 -- So that means April, May or June.

Hopefully it'll be out by late June, and then I'll think of a re-design, because I'll have to customize it anyway.

EDIT: Can you tell i have too much time? Well, i've started to think that the "black diamond" shape isnt any good or could be changed to something better....so i think i'm gonna redo it again...anyone think the same?:confused:

Alright, I decided to make one too because I am competitive and I am bored.

this is not all that great but i'll work on it more......i've also go a few more good ideas on the drawing board..

Here's what I came up with...I'm pretty inexperianced with graphic design, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway :)

My submission is kind of simple, but I made it with the existing "top bar" in mind.

I hope I don't embarass myself too much :D
