Hi, I'm having trouble getting the camera LabVIEW app running. Last year's GUI recognizes the camera fine, but when I start up the LabVIEW app, it says that it cannot find the camera (all applications that might use the serial port are closed).

Any ideas about whats going on?

Thanks a bunch,

Standard questions probably apply:

1. Did you install NI-VISA?
2. Are your serial ports configured correctly in the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)?

Those two topics are covered in the documentation provided with the LabVIEW camera app.

Also, make sure your backup battery (on your IFI RC) is fully charged - as it comes in the kit, the backup battery is nearly dead. Sure, the CMUCam2 probably has power, and I even got it to connect once, but there isn't enough juice to carry on a meaningful conversation with the camera. :o

As long as your COM port is correctly selected within the app (COM1 is default) you should be good-to-go.

Are you still having problems?
