Last years versus this years trans. ratios

Does anyone know what last years kit transmission ratio was ? This years appears to be 12.75 to 1 (50/14 * 50/14 teeth). Clearly this years transmission has evolved from last years but have the ratios changed ?

The ratios of the 2005 and 2006 Kit Transmission are the same. Your ratios are correct.

The internal guts of the kit transmission are exactly the same. The only thing that has changed is IFI added a few more holes to the motor plate to allow the hall effect sensors to be mounted directly to the motor plate. A pretty slick idea from those IFI mechanical guys.

Are those NACA speed-holes, or just plain old, you know, holes? We need to know if they will add to the maximum speed of the robot.

Those holes will add at least 2 more feet per second to the top speed.

(for those of you that don't know ... I'm kidding)
