PWMs Active in Programming Mode?
We finally hooked up our new FRC to a pair of VEX servos last night to tinker around with EasyC (we've been messing with LabView and the camera standalone). While walking through the Getting Started section of the help file, we needed to put the FRC into Programming Mode to receive a download. On each occasion, shortly after entering Programming Mode and before actually initiating the download, the servos we had connected to PWM01 and PWM02 went spastic for 2-3 seconds. This was, consistently, about 5-10 seconds *after* the controller was indicating that it was in programming mode.
Has anyone else seen this or should I be calling IFI for a replacement controller? Lynn (D) - Team Voltage 386 |
Re: PWMs Active in Programming Mode?
I would call IFI and ask them about it. The servos normally reset when the RC powers up, but they shouldn't go 'spastic.' If there were motors hooked up, that would make me think the robot would go nuts. If that were the case, I'd definitely ask for help or a replacement from IFI.

Re: PWMs Active in Programming Mode?
Did this happen before or after you downloaded the code. If it was before the code was downloaded reinstall the master code on the controller an try again. If it is after the code is downloaded then check the code and make sure no one changed any thing.

Where can I get the 2006 Master Code? The latest I could find was the one from April 2005 and I didn't want to load something that old into a new controller set. After our code is loaded, the robot behaves itself completely. It is only when it is disabled or in programming mode that it get wierd. Lynn (D) - Team Voltage 386 |
