Most of the models of VEX parts are already available in Inventor 10 format at the websites listed in the first post of this string. I have created all the parts of the starter kit as well, but they are not up for distribution yet. The animation model that I posted is for my own use, but it was created using the aforementioned Inventor models. I just wanted to show it off a little.

No, it doesn't. That's for ANSYS, which is a thermal simulation package. It doesn't read standard 3-D files, and outputs useless (for our purposes) 2-D and 3-D files. The closest it comes is Parasolid (ACIS) files, but it can't even import them, only export.

I can't do that conversion for you, but I've got something else that might be of use. Go to hobbyvex.org/CAD/index.htm for downloads and instructions on how to use MLCAD with Vex parts. Most of the starter kit parts are there now and more will be coming as I get them ready. The bonus of using MLCAD is that it's free and it can be used to generate building instructions. I'm hoping to have my first complete model ready to post on HobbyVex soon along with preliminary building instructions.
