Does 2nd page of thread exist?
 

Since I haven't been able to spend much time on here lately (work issues) I've been trying to read and catch up on all the new threads. One of the new threads I was reading was the Solidworks one in the new subforum. The interesting thing I found is that this thread shows as being 2 pages but clicking on the second page brings you to the top of the first page. While it shows as being 2 pages there doesn't seem to be any access to the second page. I didn't know what to make of it but just wanted to bring this up.

This will all vary depending on what mode you view (threaded, linear, hybrid) and how many posts per page you see (in your options). Looks ok to me :)

The second page doesn't exist................for me. I'm using XP home with IE6 and using the linear mode. The last post visible is the one by JVN but the thread lists one by gondorf. There is a link for the second page but clicking it brings the page back up to Mike Martus's post. The second page isn't accessible.

In your options, how many posts-per-page are set up?

It's set up as "use forum default". That's how it's always been since I've registered as I've never had any reason to change it.


[EDIT] Brandon, I just went into my control panel and changed the "use forum default" to show "50 posts per page" and now the additional post by gondorf is visible and there's also no need for a second page now so that link is no longer there. When I go back to "use forum default" the last post (gondorf's) disappears and there's a link to a second page that doesn't work.

I'm also having the same problem, sounds like a bug, albeit minor.

Brandon, I also got this issue, to test to see an idea I changed to 5 posts per page, it show page 1,2,3,4 but when I click to page 4 goes back to page 3, ends in J.V.N. again. If I change to 20 posts per page, it shows all, upto #16. I haven't noticed this on any other threads. Possibly an error with showing more than 15 posts in a thread?

Weird .. I'll have to look into this when I get some time.

Looks like the quick fix is to set it to view 40-50 per page or something. :)

wow...at first I dont think i had a problem but now I do. Im just guessing, this thread was around before the server switch, could something of happened to this thread in particular just before the switch happened? Like someone sent a response in and the thread only picked it up partially? Did JVN curse the thread?
