First has removed the 250 mile limit on teams registering for vex regionals. If you know of anyone that has a vex kit or wants to compete, help them start a team now and register at FIRST HERE!!! :)

our team started a vex team this year for newer students to get an introduction to robots. we have our own feild and have nicknamed them JV ROBOTICS. :p

Does anyone know if there are any west-coast VEX regionals that are official? I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that the two CA regionals were not official.

At this point, there are no official FVC Regionals on the west coast. But this does not mean you cannot compete in an official FVC Regional. Recently, FIRST dropped the 250 mile limit for signing up for a FVC Regional. So if a California team wants to sign up for the Hartford FVC Regional, they can go right ahead. :cool:

Thanks to all the recent teams that have joined the Hartford (now known as the New England Vex Regional) FVC event. We now have teams commited from Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and a very hearty team coming all the way from Colorado! :ahh:

The regional now has 50 teams showing interest in the event. However, not all have paid their fee to FIRST yet. If these teams don't pay soon they may lose their berths as new teams join and pay their fees. Don't lose your place at the New England Vex Regional.
