for my pre-scouting is appears you will get a
10/10 for being able to get on the ramp
6/10 for your shooter
0/10 for your ball collection abilities

there is alot of time before the regionals if you fix that you could be our alliance partner. :D

I think my favorite parts are the c-clamps! :p They double as a fastener and get you up to the max weight. Woo hoo!

Love the hook! So, do c-clamps count as a method of attachment? :D Do you even have anything powering your flywheel?

i like the design. are those actual weights, like for a bench press, as the spinning wheels? nice robot

I seem to remember a very similar robot leaving tread marks on our controller.

Hmm 30 lb. weights spinning at 2400 RPM....sounds adventurous! They are actually 10" pneumatic tires. We've tried a number of different sizes, types, and configurations of wheels, and we've since found that opposing sets of paired wheelchair wheels (4" gap - balls compress 3") are much better. The paired wheels create a channel which really seems to help accuracy. At 2400 RPM, they propel the balls to around 50 mph, so yeah, we'll be cutting back on that *just* a smidge. We were hitting our target dead center every time though.

But just wait until you see our black hole-powered ball collection system and our 200 ball/second feed mechanism. You can't see them in the pic because they are out getting chromed...:rolleyes:

well there's certainly something from 2004 here...
treads...leads me to remember our team's treadmills from 04 (used to get over those steps onto the platform) :

hook?...hanging...
suspicious!
nonetheless, great job on getting at least something built and running!!
Best of luck!

<sarcasm>
Wow, that hook must be for hanging on the center goal! Don't we get 50 points for being above, but not touching, the alliance platform???
</sarcasm>

;)
