Re: Time Spent per Week on Robotics

Our team works like this:
Weekdays: 5pm - 9pm
Saturdays: 8am - 5pm

28 hours a week.

I orignally thought that 28 hours a week is quite a lot, but now as I look at the poll, it looks like a lot more people work a lot longer. 28 hours a week is a huge commitment to everyone on the team. Most of them don't all 28 and only a few dedicated members are always there. Perhaps for us, working on Sundays might be a viable solution to the time crunch that we have every year. I would really like to know what are the schedules of those who work more than 40 hours a week?

From kick-off until today we (team 1538) have been working/designing/building our bot for about 9 hours a day... including 9 hours on weekends :)

sop about 54 hours a week... and that doesn't include thinking about the bot.

last night i thought about how our conveyorbelt was going to look like. IN MY SLEEP. so yea ... if you could count sleeping hours as thinking about the bot. then 1538 has about 54 hours a week / 108 hours

I was reading Grisham's The Broker just before bed last night. The book contains a bunch of CIA/NSA/EIEIO spy stuff. What did I dream last night? That I had been arrested and detained in a CIA interrogation facility. What did they want to know? How our poof ball shooter worked, and how did we manage to elegantly integrate the loader with the shooter. I need a break...
