IR Beam Troubles

Has anyone got the IR Photoswitch beams working? We tried wiring them up but got a .01V signal.
We do have it running on 12v power.

Translation:
Did you connect a pull up resistor? The output is "open collector".

"Open collector" means that it is essentially a contact closure to ground, not a logic-level voltage. It should work fine when connected to a digital input on the RC, because a contact closure to ground is exactly what the RC expects (it does provide pullups on its inputs).
