Flowchart software
 

Our team works on timelines, deadlines, and flowcharts. I am one of the people on the team helping out on the flowcharts. We want to make our big flowcharts planning the 6 weeks to digital. I found OmniGraffle(http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/omnigraffle/), but it costs a lot of money. Does anyone know any good software for flowcharts and timelines? I prefer a Mac OS X version.

It helps, but non of them are Mac OS X compatible.

Openoffice! Yes it's the solution to everything office related and Mac Compatable, not to mention compeltely awesome and its widely used in the Free community. Once you download it you'll get a:

• "Writer"-Word Processor-Just as if not better than Word
• "Calc"-Spreadsheet-Does everything Excel does and a bit more
• "Impress"-Slideshow-Yeah, more stuff than powerpoint, and its pretty cool too
• "Math"-looking to type up your math homework? show a really cool formula, here you go.
• "Base"-manages everything and is ok for databases
• "Draw"-heres my favorite program in the group and you'll probably want this one for flow charts. Its also a really solid replacement for Paint, does a lot of random stuff. Check it out

Yep, so theres the opensource solution to flow charts, OO Draw is the one you want, but you download all of them when you install it.
