i am a newbie at the camera
OK, i am a complete newbie at the camera software and i have no idea what i am doing. i went through the LabVIEW tutorials and that didn't do much. I used the examples on another forum to see if i could understand what i am doing but that was very little help. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41214
i cant even get the camera to take a picture or show me what its looking at. after fiddling around with LabVIEW i see it as a very easy interface for basic programing. if any one could give me a step by step process to get LabVIEW to connect to the camera i will greatly appreciate it. |

Use Easy C instead.

Re: i am a newbie at the camera
First, are you getting power to the camera? Second, do you have both serial connections hooked up? (That's a no-no, by the way)
You have to get the guide from kevin.org or usfirst.org and follow it STEP-BY-STEP. Trust me, skimming over it without carefully reading and following the instructions to the letter will just leave you frustrated. |
Re: i am a newbie at the camera
To get a feel for the software......start by using last years cmucam2 software and play with that....its super easy to use and youll have an easier time problem solving....
try playing with http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~cmucam/cmucam2/CMUcam2GUI.zip labview is pretty advanced and somewhat hard to use.... good luck |
