One has to guess that there will be some type of tread on there since metal cannot touch the carpet. Probably for some type of crab drive.

wow..... if thats not for a pulley/track design, that is one beefy (outer perimeter
) wheel. but why? hmm... it seems there wouldnt need to be quite as much material for a normal wheel or pulley. and the pop rivet holes?? and shiney..... and the axle..... its a stub.. no need for shaft collars then? and uh. why 5spoke wheel+6 spoke sprocket? i woulda did the same spoke. oh well. i want that sprocket tho, |

Looks great guys, I especially like the work done to the sprocket and the sides of the wheel, Geeze you can even see a reflection of the sprocket in that chrome work looks great guys. JT 229 |

One note: the device has not been chromed - it's aluminum that Phil (a very determined student) spent a good amount of time polishing up.
