Arefin likes shinny things. =)
... god knows what Wildstang is planning on doing. |
Re: pic: WildStang 2006 Teaser 1
Those look very nice. Its amazing what you can do with polishing compound.

Re: pic: WildStang 2006 Teaser 1
Me wantee!!
Very impressive. I'm curious what the diameter is...my guess is no smaller than 8", but its difficult to judge. If so (and based on the sprocket), I'm guessing this is NOT a road wheel simply because it wouldn't be conducive to crab and WildStang would NEVER make a standard drive ;) Can't wait to see it up here in Milwaukee! Re: pic: WildStang 2006 Teaser 1
I think that this "device" is part of Wildstang's shooter mechanism.

Re: pic: WildStang 2006 Teaser 1
not sure if anyone else did this...
but i counted out the sides and its 21... just like IFI's wheels =X |
Re: pic: WildStang 2006 Teaser 1
45 tooth sprocket its prolly gon na have some torque
|
Re: pic: WildStang 2006 Teaser 1
Looks like it could be part of your pit display showing how to make a tank wheel with a sprocket and applying chrome to it.

Re: pic: WildStang 2006 Teaser 1
i'm gonna say drive wheel, because of the sprocket. i think that unless the connecting sprocket is either very large, or spinning at a very high speed, this sprocket is for gearing down. and it looks a #25 sprocket to me, which would put the wheel dia. around 6".

I wish we had machine tools

Re: pic: WildStang 2006 Teaser 1
An intake device??
A device for transfering balls to a shooting mechanism? A device for driving a belt to do something within the robot? As Dave gave away, it IS a device! :) After seeing what WildStang has put together for past competitions, guessing what they are using this "device" for is just as fruitless as trying to make heads or tails of the game design committee's cryptic clue! Sweet looking "device" Dave! Can't wait to see what it is for! Sean |
