there were 12 motors in the kit (not including servos)

and you can use them all plus the option of having 2 more cim motors, so that totals to 14 motors (not counting servos)

*beat me to it*

but I don't think all could conceivably be run for 2 min. in a match. Dave mentioned how this year the GDC overloaded us with motors this year at kickoff

Does anyone know if it is first legal to use 6 of the small cim motors as well as 2 of the big ones included in the kit?

You may use 2 large CIMs and up to 4 small CIMs.

don't forget that during the kickoff on the broadcast they stated that you can use all of the motors but you will overload the system and drain to much battery power.

they didnt say you WILL. they said more along the lines. probably will and advise against. depending on how often each motor is running, maybe not
