Why do I have to have the transmitter on when running an autonomous program?

Because FIRST requires that the RC be in constant communication with the OI and ultimately the Arena Controller. This is for two reasons:

1. So that the E-stop will still work
2. So that the RC will know when to exit autonomous mode
