don't everyone get too excited yet about all these competitions....me and hosting partners still have a lot of planning to do, and then we will tell you all about them

Bay Shore can't count West Islip in for a summer competition.

I haven't spoken to the team, by I am pretty sure that most of them would be willing to donate theyr time and energy to help setup the event. (aka free manual labor)

west islip....as in team 311?? i know they have like 100 members...so i don't think they would be mad about sending some to help

oh, haha yeah, i didn';t know which was which ...at least i was kinda close, got the town right

i don't think we would need that many people to help build the field and set everything up. however, we will need people to help it run smoothly, people in the pits calling teams, judges, refs, field setters, etc... there really is no other info on this, we only got the ok for it today. we will have more and more info in the weeks to come. thanks for all your support

Is FIRST renting feilds or something to off-season competitions? <<or>> should this post be in the "Rumoe Mill"?:D

From the info I've gotten
FIRST lets teams borrow the FIELD (and goals and balls) for free (minus the carpet), but the team has to pay the shipping and handling fees

and I believe you have to rent the electronics from FIRST if you want to use their setup
