Animation Film fest!
Okay, so apparently there is a CD film fest somewheres else on the forum, so Mr. Fraggs and i talked and thought it would be cool to have a postseason animation competition. Here's the proposal:
It would start the day animation is due. It would go for 2 weeks. that's one week after the robot ships. It can be on any topic as long as it is within good taste. That means yes to big mechwarrior robots, fighting ninjas, big explosions, and other potentially violent situations. However, that means no to blood, entrails, drugs, or dirty/explicit themes. Not that anyone would do that. :D It cannot be more than 15 seconds long. Keep it short and sweet. All entries would be emailed to Mr. Fraggs or myself. We would host them and post them on CD, then open a poll for everyone to vote on the stuff and yeah. How about it? no extra stress, because it is after crunch time. I understand many of you will go to help on the robot, but is anyone else interested? |
Re: Animation Film fest!
I'm In! I already did some animation tests with my character, and some are pretty funny. Where do I Post them.
And if your hosting an animation test please check out my teams official unofficial robotics film contest. Please click here :D |
Re: Animation Film fest!
cool. thanks for joining. We aren't going to accept entries until after the animation due date. We, unlike Autodesk ARE setting a start date, so we are counting on everyone starting their submissions after then.
yeah, that film contest is what gave me the idea for this one! Good stuff, man, good stuff. When the competition does start, email the submission to Mr. Fraggs or myself. our addresses should be on our user profile. We will host them via Putfile or something, and then post links on CD so everyone can see them. (that's another reason to keep the animation at a max of 15 seconds, it keeps files small for our host. :D ) |
